We decided to balance the character. Most of character will gain new buffs, and the only character that nerfed is Sue. Since we don't know how well Teresa and Rose does in this game at the begining, we feel those two doesn't work well in this game, so we decide to revamp their tools.
Global Buff
- Everybody can use anti air in mid air.
- Everybody will only use 3 meter for ultra.
Tim
Tim is the jack all trades character in this game, we don't think he need buff or nerf. We only give him ability to do anti air in mid air. His up specials now can be used on air.
- Anti air can be used in mid air.
Hayden
Hayden will be the character that needs spacing and charge to be effective, but the problem is his charge shot is useless in tight corridor. So we decide to make his maximum charge shot will pierce the object. We will revamp his ultra too. He still will be the character that need EX to deal serious damage.
- Increase Thunder buster shoot speed.
- Maximum Thunder buster will hit 5 times, making it the most powerful projectile in the game.
- Thunder buster will pierce through object.
- Maximum shot will score knockdown.
- Thunder clap EX will bounce opponent into the air giving air juggle potential.
- Revamp the ultra.
Sheryl
Sheryl will be the character excel in run and gun playstyle. Since her tools beside the machinegun are weak, we will buff her other tools to increase her flexibility.
- Super art will only cost 3 stocks
- Reduce damage from super art
- Reduce meter gain from machinegun and shotgun whiff.
- Increase buster shot speed
- Shotgun (up specials) will shot 5 projectile instead of 3.
- EX Shotgun will shot 8 projectile instead of 5.
- EX Machinegun will shot 8 projectile instead of 7.
- Give reload warning when she reload the weapon.
Sue
Sue still will be the character specialize in gaining EX meter easily by whiffing her attack. We notice her whiffing game and trap is so broken in PVP, so we need limit those tools.Her playstyle will be stall the opponent with speed and trap, then whiff and kunai spam to gain meters. But since her defense weak, one bad move will take half of her HP.
- EX Thorn Trap (down specials) will only last 12 second.
- Reduced meter gain from whiffing attack.
- Decrease HP to 6000.
- Increase kunai count in mid air.
- Super art will cost 3 stocks.
- Change kunai color, easier to see.
- Anti air can be used in mid air.
Teresa
Teresa will be a tank, she will tank everything, her bomb will be tools to score knockdown so she can get in and smash people. We will rework her ultra, now her ultra is an super armor, she cannot be stunned by any attack by 10 second and she only takes 60% damage. We also notice her combo hitbox is so small, so we decided to revamp her combo.
- Revamp the combo.
- Revamp the ultra.
- Bomb will score knockdown.
- Change the down special
- Anti air can be used in mid air.
- Increase HP to 9000
Gregg
Gregg will be 50-50 setup character, he excel at confusing his opponent.
The problem is, his special move hitbox is too small. So we increase his special move hitbox. Everytime he use his EX, he will teleported to his shadows.Since his shuriken pretty powerful, we decided to nerf the shuriken. Now instead a zoning tools, it become a distration tools.
- Increase down special hitbox range.
- Shadow jump doesn't cost EX meters.
- Shuriken EX will change the location.
- Nerf the shuriken.
- Increase hitbox on supers.
- Super now only need 3 stock.
Lynn
Lynn will be a character that excel in air battle, she can bait anti air easily since she has 2 air dash. Since her ultra not that usefull in PVE or PVP, so we will revamp her ultra. Now her ultra will shoot multiple projetile with homing properties. While her normal projectile is far
inferior than other character, her EX will be slower but more powerful than other character except Hayden.
- Increase grasshopper (up specials) horizontal range.
- Revamp the projectile.
- Revamp the ultra.
Rose
Rose will be honest ultra aggresive melee attacker. But the problem is, her hitbox is so bad. We will revamp rose moveset alot.
Her ultra will be the buff that grant her extra 50% damage for 10 second, and more dash speed, this will make her a powerfull rushdown melee attacker. Her projectile is too weak, so we give the projectile more speed and power.
-Reworked the combo setup.
-Increase combo hitbox range.
-Reworked her ultra.
-Reduce the dash speed.
-Buff the ex projectile.
-Faster Attacks.
