Greetings vikings!
We hope you’re having a wonderful summer! We’re currently gearing up for the 1.0 release in September, fixing some final bugs and getting everything ready for you to experience in just a few weeks. We hope you’re as excited as we are!
In the meantime, please do make sure you check out our 1.0 FAQ, which covers many of the questions we have been asked about the release. As always, we recommend that you start a new playthrough to get the best possible Valheim experience, but we also understand that many of you will want to visit the Deep North as soon as you can, and we have tried to answer any questions relating to that!
And one last time in case you missed it, the 1.0 announcement trailer:
As you know, next week we will be at Gamescom in Cologne, and we really hope to see some of you there. If you’re visiting, make sure to stop by our booth in hall 10 and say hello! And regardless if you’re there or not, make sure to keep an eye out for a brand new trailer that will be premiering during the event. We will be seeing some familiar faces…
And with that, we’ll see you on the other side of 1.0!
Build of the Month
For many years now, we have been sharing your wonderful and creative buildings under this headline. With the Early Access journey coming to an end, we will also be wrapping up this particular segment – though we will of course still be curious to see what it is you’re building in the game. Keep an eye out on our social channels, because you can be certain that we will be asking you to share what you’ve made!
To round off, we will highlight two builds this time. First out is The Bridge by Hi, I'm Klaus. Look at all those creative solutions!
And last, but not least, we want to direct your attention to the Cathedral of the All-Father, built by Ayriv. Since we’ll be going to Cologne it feels only fitting, after all!
Sharpen your axes and raise your shields!

Hello vikings!
What a month June has been! We were finally able to reveal our 1.0 release date at the PC Gaming Show earlier this month, and we’re delighted that so many of you seem excited for the launch! At last it is official that Valheim 1.0, with Deep North and all, releases on the 9th of September this year, with full crossplay between platforms. If you missed it, or if you just can’t get enough of it, you can watch the trailer right here:
We’re very excited for you to be able to experience what we’ve been working on, and we really hope that you’ll have a great time!
Leading up to the launch, we can also reveal that we will have a booth at the Gamescom showfloor in August. If you’ll be at the event in Cologne, make sure to come find us for a chance to chat to some of the devs, and to experience Valheim in a more immersive way than ever before. We look forward to seeing you there, it’s gonna be big!
Another thing we want to make sure you don’t miss is our current Makehip campaign. Just like with the Rocky plushie last year, you have a limited time to get your hands on three brand new and unique Valheim plushies; the Valkyrie, the Serpent and the Jumbo Troll. They won’t be available after the campaign, so now’s your chance!
Build of the Month
This month we want to highlight the Snowspire Citadel, by xiaoming. Impressive!
If you want your creation to be featured in this section, use the hashtag #ValheimBotM on social media. Please also send us a DM or email with a link to your post, to make sure that we see it. Now you can also submit builds on Discord, by posting in the build-of-the-month forum channel! No DM is necessary if you post there, as that’s our own forum.

Over the years we’ve heard many stories about players finding new friends, a welcoming community and even love through the game, and we’d love to highlight these tales of kinship and comraderie.
Whether you played when the game initially released or you’re playing every week to this day, whether you’ve reunited with your friends through Valheim or found your future spouse in the Tenth Realm, we’d love to hear from you!
If you’d like to share your personal Valheim Journey, we encourage you to record a video in which you describe your experience and submit it for a potential feature in an upcoming video piece that we’re putting together. You can do so below - don’t worry, it doesn't need to be a professionally shot video!

Valheim 1.0 will arrive on 9 September, with new enemies to kill, bases to build and weapons to craft. The release will hit PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as per usual, and now we’re also adding PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 to the roster. Of course there will be full crossplay between all the platforms, so that you can play with your friends.
Thank you for being with us on this journey thus far, and stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the release!
For now, please enjoy the release date reveal trailer:

Hello vikings!
We would like to start off on a slightly different note this month, where instead of us sharing something with you, we want to ask you to share something with us. We are entering the final stages of development for the Deep North, and for Valheim 1.0, and for that launch to be the best it possibly can be we are in need of your help! There is currently a patch out on the PTB that features a rework of the save system, and we would be eternally grateful if you wanted to switch over to the PTB and test it out. What we would ask you to be particularly attentive to is any issues with your savedata or with the network functionality – if you find any issues pertaining to this (or any other bugs, of course) please report them in our official form. Thank you most kindly!
On the topic of sharing, we also want to hear about your experiences of Valheim as a whole! Over the years we have received so many stories about people finding friends, community and love through the game, and we want to highlight these tales of kinship and joy. If you would like to tell us about what Valheim has meant to you, we encourage you to record a short video and submit it via this form. It doesn’t have to look professional by any means, just follow the specifications listed in the form. Most importantly, tell us your story!
Of course we’re not only asking things of you this month, we also have some things to share on our end! First of all we want to let you all know to tune in to the PC Gaming Show on 7 June, as there might be something pretty interesting happening there from a Valheim point of view. You won’t want to miss it!
Another thing we want to share with you is the proper first look at some of the achievements that will be featured with Valheim at the 1.0 release! You’ve been asking for achievements for a long time, and we’re happy to say that there will be over 50 of them. We won’t tell you what you need to do to acquire them just quite yet, but perhaps you can make a guess or two?
Build of the Month
This month we’re setting our sights on this sprawling Hall of the Mountain King, built by Archimedes. Looking good!

⚠️ Note: This update is for the Public Test branch of Valheim only, and may therefore be unstable!
Prior to launching this update to the Default version of the game, we want to have a chance to discover bugs and fine-tune the balancing to ensure the best game experience.
ACCESS: Right-click Valheim in your Steam library, then select ‘Properties’. In the new window, select ‘Betas’ and type in the code “yesimadebackups”. The Public Test branch should now be available for you to select. The PTB FAQ can be found here.
FEEDBACK: Please leave any feedback in the “#valheim-public-test” channel in our Discord or through the form on our website.
Please remember to be considerate towards players who are not participating in the Public Test, as some may prefer to avoid spoilers. As indicated by the access code, please ensure to create backups of your save files before playing.
In this update we’re introducing a new save system for your Valheim worlds! The purpose of this is to make the game save faster, and to decrease the risk of corrupt save files. What the new system means in practice is that the game now saves your world in smaller chunks, and only the chunks that have been modified since the last save will be affected. Worlds will no longer be saved with a .db and a .fwl file, but will instead be saved and stored in separate folders, with the .db file broken down into smaller pieces. Backups will also have their own separate folders. Please note that if you intend to switch between the PTB and the Live branch of the game, it is not advisory to move your files around manually.
If this sounds overly technical, don’t worry – unless you’re frequently moving your files around manually, you won’t notice any difference beyond faster saving times!
For users who are running Valheim with mods, please note that this system has not been tested with mods. While we don’t believe there should be any issues relating to this, modding the game is always done at your own risk.
Detailed Patch Notes:
* Introducing a new world save system * The new save system only affects world saves, character saves remain the same. * When saving, only the chunks that have been modified are saved. * Instead of saving a world with the .db and .fwl files it’s now stored in folders and the world (.db) is split up in multiple files (chunks). * Backups are stored in separate folders. * When loading a world that is not chunked, a backup is made first so no data is lost in case of potential new bugs. * The save system performs extra checks after saving to make sure it saved properly, which reduces the risk of a corrupt save. * There is a new limitation in cloud storage, up until now it was only the total size of all saves. Some platforms have a limit in how many files can be saved, this was previously not a limitation but now there will be way more files saved.

Hello vikings!
We began this month of April, as is customary, with a bit of a laugh. Most of you caught on to the fact that it was an April Fools joke, but we do want to make sure to clarify that there is not going to be an additional game mode in Valheim where you can romance all the bosses, as fun as that might have been. Who had the most charming dialogue options? Who had the most romantic ending? We shall never know.
We also want to thank the team behind Val-Con for organising their event for the second time! Thank you for taking the time to bring the community together and celebrating Valheim! Our very own Robin Eyre and Jonathan Smårs featured during the event, as well as some of our friends from other companies who have helped us make the game, so make sure to check out their interviews in the VOD.
But now, onto some teasers! Last month we asked if you had any guesses as to what one might be able to cook in the Deep North, and many of you guessed it: Meatballs with lingonberries, of course! They’re just one item on the menu of this biome though, because you’ll need plenty of food to sustain yourselves through adventures out in the cold:
We’ve already hinted at some build pieces that will be coming to Valheim, but now we want to reveal perhaps one of the most impressive pieces yet. You have asked for a drawbridge for quite some time, and we are happy to finally be able to offer you one. Let the building commence!

Hello Vikings!
While the story of Hervor Bloodtooth has come to an end, the same cannot be said for the Deep North. We continue to work away on crafting the biome, and today we want to show you a couple of different wintery snippets of what to expect, before spring is properly upon us!
First out, we want to show perhaps one of our most Swedish aspects of the biome – the lingonberries. They can be found and harvested in the woods, and used in several of the biome’s food recipes. Got any guesses as to what you might be able to cook?
When it’s cold and snowy, one thing to always watch out for is slippery ice. The Deep North will be no different, and careless vikings might easily find themselves stumbling to catch their balance:
And in the Deep North, there will of course also be deep snow! This will need to be cleared if you want to settle down and build a base somewhere, but fortunately you can craft a shovel for this very purpose. Best put your back into it!
These are just a few of the things we’re working on at the moment, and we’re happy to say that the biome is shaping up to something we really think you will enjoy.
Speaking of you, our brilliant community, it’s almost time for the second edition of the fan-run, online community event Val-Con! It takes place in the middle of April, and there are a whole bunch of fun activities scheduled. This year, Iron Gate is officially participating, and we’re happy to pitch in with some fun prizes for the competitions and raffles during the event. You will also see some guest appearances from the Valheim development team, so stay tuned for that!
Build of the Month
This month we want to shine a light on “Reed’s Hollow” by Leif. We love the creative use of the Elder altar!

Hello Vikings!
First of all, thank you for all the kind messages during our five year anniversary earlier this month. We wouldn’t be here without all of you!
You might also have noticed that we announced that Valheim is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year! We’re really excited for this, and as usual we’re very thankful to have Piktiv helping us out with the port. Please note that the release will only be for Nintendo Switch 2, and not for the first Nintendo Switch console. More information about the release will come in time, but for now you can wishlist the game on the Nintendo eShop.
With these two milestones behind us we also want to share with you the final part of the Voyage of Hervor Bloodtooth:
Now, it must be said that Hervor’s story took place quite a long time ago, in a Deep North that’s a little bit different from the biome that you will explore yourselves, but perhaps there might still be some traces left of her for you to find…
One thing that will still remain standing despite the passage of time is of course the massive structure that marks the end of Hervor’s journey. What lies beyond this gate shall remain a mystery for all but the truly worthy, however.
And while this marks the end of Hervor’s story, we will of course keep having further teasers in our Words from the Devs in the months to come, rest assured! The Deep North continues to take shape with every passing day, and we really look forward to sharing it with you all once it’s ready.
Build of the Month
It was particularly hard to choose a build to highlight this month, you have been busy! In the end, we want to shine the spotlight on “Eikthyr’s Pedestal” by Porter. Well done!

We've got a couple of fixes for you today!
Please also note that playing using Vulkan might currently cause Valheim to be unstable and/or crash. If you want to continue using Vulkan, you can disable the FPS limiters in e.g. the Nvidia Control Panel for a hopefully smoother experience. Rest assured that we're working on a solution for the Vulkan issue, however, and that it should hopefully be back to normal soon!
Patch Notes:
* Added release-to-select in the radial menu: If you continue holding down the radial menu button/key after the radial menu appears, you can select an emote by releasing the button/key. * Reverted crouching being unintentionally changed to a press-and-hold action on gamepad. Now it’s back to being a single press again. * Fixed annoying resolution setting behavior in windowed mode when changing settings. * Fixed crash on startup on Windows that triggers under specific conditions when using Vulkan. * Fixed audio stutters in Ashlands. * Fixed sometimes not being able to apply graphics settings properly the first time after updating from an earlier version. * Fixed some minor UX issues in the graphics settings menu.
For modders: * Fixed a null reference exception that started happening in 0.221.10 when mods directly or indirectly accessed preferences at startup (for example via the localization system).

Greetings vikings!
Today marks the five year anniversary since Valheim was first released into Early Access – and what an incredible five years it’s been!
We want to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey and our community since then, whether you started playing on day one or have just been carried by the valkyrie for the first time. We greatly appreciate every single one of you, and we’re so glad to have you walk this path with us.
For this anniversary you will find a patch live right now for everyone, with some new celebratory items and emotes, along with some quality of life fixes!
If you want to keep the celebration going throughout the week, you can tune in to Twitch on Thursday, where there will be a livestreamed concert by the Munich Radio Orchestra! They will be playing music from a bunch of video games, including Valheim.
As you all know, we’re working on Deep North, which will be the final biome update that brings the game into 1.0. While we can’t give an update on that today, we can share that 2026 is going to be a great year for Valheim.
Once again, thank you so much for being with us for five whole years!

Greetings, vikings!
2026 is here, and we hope you’re just as eager for this year as we are! We’ve been having quite a bit of winter weather here in our corner of the world lately, which feels apt as we’ll be sharing with you the ninth part of The Voyage of Hervor Bloodtooth today:
What was it that she saw, snow and frost covering more than just the Deep North or the Mountains? Only dreams, perhaps, or visions of something yet to come…
That looks a bit cold, doesn’t it? Though in the Deep North you will learn to deal with something even colder, such as this brand new addition to your workshop: The Frost Foundry!
Build of the Month
As we had no blog post in December, we want to share two builds now instead! First out is Ashtaters with an elegant bridge portal – looking good!
And then we also want to highlight this harbour base that Mardy is building, with so many details!
Great work the both of you! If you want your creation to be featured in this section, use the hashtag #ValheimBotM on social media. Greetings vikings!
We’ve truly hit the colder part of the year now, which gives us plenty of inspiration for the Deep North landscape. And just as we continue to work on the biome, Hervor Bloodtooth is continuing her journey:
Many of you have speculated for a long time, and as we now take a closer look at some of the abandoned structures in the Deep North, we want to properly confirm that the update will add the possibility to build steeper roofs! The 67° roof pieces will be 4 meters high, and available for both the thatch as well the darkwood roof styles. We’re really looking forward to seeing all the new and creative ways you will use these build pieces!
We also want to offer you a bit of a mystery this month! It’s something to do with the crafting process in the Deep North, can you guess what these things will be used for?
As we’re nearing the holiday season for many, we also want to make sure to give you some tips for Valheim themed gifts! In the Grimfrost merch store, we currently have a combo deal where you can get two plushies for the price of one. It’s only valid throughout Black Week though!
We have also teamed up with the talented folks at Cantrip Candles, who have made a lovely set of Valheim themed scented candles! There’s one for the black forest, one for the ocean, and one for the campfire – and they all come with labels illustrated by Mats Minnhagen. These are also discounted at the moment, so now is a great time to grab them if you want them!
Build of the Month
We want to take one last look at the spooky season before we make way for winter, so this month we have chosen to highlight this richly decorated hall by Captain Crumbs! Well done!

Hello vikings!
We want to start with mentioning a Unity security vulnerability that occurred a few weeks back. There is no evidence that the vulnerability ever reached Valheim in any way, and we hurried to patch the game with the necessary updates from Unity as soon as we could. We didn’t make any announcement about this at the time as we didn’t want to cause unnecessary alarm, but we do also want to assure you that the game is safe for you to play. We thank you for your understanding!
But now to the more lighthearted stuff! The time has come to finally check back in with Hervor Bloodtooth. Without further ado:
The creatures down in the winding tunnels couldn’t best her! How do you think you’ll fare once it’s your turn to square up against them? They’ve caused quite a mess above the surface, after all…
Don’t worry though, there will be plenty of opportunities for creation in the Deep North too! The development of the biome is progressing well, and lately we’ve been focusing on things such as adding some interesting elements to the snow, as well as working out some new crafting extensions, just to name a few! We want to share the extension for the Galdr table with you as a little teaser, the loom:
Before we round off, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at Tokyo Game Show! It was wonderful to meet you all!

Greetings vikings!
Since our last check-in we have moved the Call to Arms update from the Public Test Branch and into the Live version of the game! We want to thank everyone who tested the game during the PTB, as well as everyone who has played it since the official release. We hope you’re not too bruised from your battles!
There are possibly some more tweaks coming to that update in the coming weeks and months, as we want to see how everyone experiences the new changes, beyond those who tested in the PTB. But besides that we’re now focusing the team solely on content for the Deep North and 1.0. Armour sets are being designed, dungeons are getting fleshed out, and enemies are being animated. We’re itching for you to see it all, but we also want to make sure that there’s plenty of things left for you to discover on your own!
We’re holding off a bit longer still to see what became of Hervor Bloodtooth but, just like last month, we want to show you something from the Deep North regardless. This time we’re taking a peek at some new furniture pieces, made from a new type of wood found in the biome. They’re a bit chunkier than what we’ve had so far, and both the chair and the table have some decorative designs carved into them. We look forward to seeing how the talented builders out there will use them in the future!
Just a few days ago we also finally made the announcement that Valheim is coming to PlayStation! It’s something that we’ve been getting many requests for over the course of Valheim’s development, and we’re really excited that it’s soon to come true. You can read more about the PlayStation release, as well as watch the new trailers (yes, multiple!), in the announcement post.
As you may have guessed, the upcoming PlayStation release is the reason that we’re going to Tokyo Game Show next week, and those passing by our booth will have the opportunity to be among the first to play the game on a PlayStation console. We hope to see some fans there!
You will also find Valheim at the boardgame fair SPIEL ESSEN in Germany in October! Our friends at MOOD will be there to showcase the Valheim boardgame which is now manufactured and ready to ship out to everyone who backed the Gamefound campaign. The booth at SPIEL will also be the first ever place where you can purchase the game in person!
Build of the Month
This month we’re taking a closer look at this castle by ViRedy. Looks like someone is looking forward to a bit of wintery exploration, well done!

It's time to bring Call to Arms from the PTB and into Valheim proper! As always, a huge thank you to everyone who has tested it already, and a grand welcome to all new players!
This updates features plenty of ways of self-improvement – whether that be wooden weapons for sparring with your comrades, or a built structure to hone your fighting skills against.
You can also find a brand new type of item in the form of trinkets, which will help you in the heat of battle. And as there are some new dangerous foes around, you might find that you very much need them…
You’ll find the full patch notes below, whether you want them abbreviated or detailed. And if you didn't see it when the PTB launched, why not take a look at the update's trailer:
Please note that you will need to have the latest Nvidia drivers for this update, otherwise the game risks crashing.
Abbreviated Patch Notes
* Forsaken Powers rebalanced * New combat mechanics & combat improvements * New equipable item type: Trinkets * 13 new trinkets * 1 new skill * 2 new creatures, with 1 additional overhauled creature * 1 new food item * 8 new crafting materials * 18 new weapons (9 wooden) * 2 new armour sets * 3 new building pieces * 3 new hairstyles * 5 new beard styles * 1 new location * Some items can now have multiple orientations on item stands * Unity engine upgraded * Various bug fixes and performance improvements
Detailed Patch Notes
New Content:
New Mechanics: * Trinkets: Equip these items to gain adrenaline during battle, and thus unlock temporary perks. * Adrenaline: You gain adrenaline by hitting enemies, triggering a Forsaken Power, using certain magic attacks, as well as performing Perfect Blocks and Perfect Dodge Rolls. When the bar is full, you get an adrenaline surge which gives you a temporary perk designated by your equipped Trinket. Adrenaline will fade when you are not in active combat, and you will only gain adrenaline as long as you have a Trinket equipped. * Wooden Weapons: By using wooden weapons you can practice combat against your friends without hurting each other. * New skill: Perfect Dodge Roll (Dodge an attack that would have caused you damage and get a % of stamina back)
Clothing: * Chest Armour: Patterns of the Bear * Leg Armour: Loincloth of the Bear * Helmet: Headdress of the Bear * Chest Armour: Vilebone Cage * Leg Armour: Vilebone Drapes * Helmet: Vilebone Visage * Hat: Sweat Band (purchasable)
Trinkets: * Heart of the Forest * Bronze Pendant * Iron Brooch * Nimble Anklet * Crystal Heart * Wolf Sight * Fins of Destiny * Evasion Mantle * Bracelets of the Brave * Pulsating Earrings * Resounding Shackle * Jörmundling * Brimstone
Misc: * New location: CombatRuin01 * 3 new hairstyles (Mullet, Castellan & Vinland Shave) * 5 new beard styles (Mustache, Handlebar, Trimmed, Waxed, Crumb Catcher)
Fixes & Improvements
Combat Changes: * Perfect Block no longer cost stamina * Reduced movement speed penalty on Battleaxes, Sledgehammers, and Tower Shields * Vertical fighting improvements, now easier to hit enemies in slopes!
Rebalanced Forsaken Powers: * Eikthyr: 60% reduced stamina usage for running, jumping, and swimming * The Elder: 60% Chopping and Mining damage increase, 30% health regeneration increase * Bonemass: 25% resistance VS pierce, slash, and blunt damage, 100% reduced block stamina usage, 5 stamina on return per block * Moder: Always tailwind, 300 increased carry weight, 10% increased movement speed, 50% frost resistance * Yagluth: 50% Lightning resistance, 25+ Farm skill, 10% increased damage * The Queen: 100% increased Eitr regeneration., 100% reduced sneak cost, 50% poison resistance * Fader: 100% Adrenaline increase, 50% reduced stagger meter modifier, 50% fire resistance
Item stands: * These items are now allowed to be placed on item stands: * Barley Flour * Tankard * Ancient Seed * Dragon Tear * Volture Egg * Cores * Padded Helmet * Carapace Helme * Fresh Seaweed * Fragrant Bundle * Thistle * Celestial Feather
* New item stand position & orientations on some items: * Atgeirs * Axes * Bombs * Bows * Crossbows * Knives * Maces * Pickaxes * Shields * Sledges * Spears * Staffs * Swords * Tower Shields * All Fish * All Helmets * Cooked Lox meat * Rotten Meat * Blueberries * Carrot * Cooked Bonemaw Meat * Cooked Serpent Meat * Cooked Neck Tail * Cooked Boar Meat * Raspberry * All Meads * Cultivator * Feaster * Fishing Rod * Hammer * Hoe * Scythe * Asksvin Saddle * Lox Saddle * All Trophies * Goblin Totem * Scythe handle
Misc: * Updated old hairstyle names * Updated localisation * Ghost visual overhaul * Upgraded Unity engine to 6000.0.46f
Bug Fixes: * Fixed a bug that caused community servers to no longer be advertised in the community list on non-Steam platforms. * Fixed UGC text not being filtered properly when the author is a Mac App Store user who wasn’t logged into Game Center at the time of writing. * Fixed log spam when nearby or viewing hover text for signs, tamed animals and portals without text/name/tag. * Fixed a bug that showed “TEXT HIDDEN, CHECK UGC SETTINGS” for UGC written by muted players - now there’s separate text for that case. * Fixed a bug that caused the shield generator to not take damage if it was network owned by a different client than whatever dealt damage to it. * Fixed join code in pause menu not being hidden when toggling off HUD visibility. * Fixed join code copy to clipboard functionality. * Improved how block list is synchronized between local storage and cloud storage. * Fixed input loss in UI at low frame rates. * Fixed select button not working properly when using an Xbox One Controller on Mac. * Fixed a bug that allowed tab navigation when various popups in the world and server selection menus were open. * Added the option in the settings menu to enable the developer console. The command line argument “-console” overrides the setting. * Fixed a bug that caused integers with a value of zero to be reset to their default value when loading a world save file. * Fixed a bug that made it possible to copy the join code with gamepad even when there was none. * Modded text in start menu has been moved. * You can no longer dodge while overencumbered * Stairs of the Stone Portal should now be climbable * Carvings on Fader sacrificial stone now have more emission to match other sacrificial stones * Looking at a beehive while another player disconnects from the server no longer causes the game to crash * There’s no longer Null Reference Exceptions when some projectiles hit the Shield Generator * Fix a bug that caused the GUI to not update matchmaking data immediately when adding a server from join code * Updated localisation
Server List Improvements: * Rewrote the server list to reduce redundancies and improve performance, scalability, reliability and server retrieval speed. * Improved retrieval speed of community servers via the PlayFab backend. * Added a new “refreshing” icon displayed instead of the “?” icon when refreshing servers. The “?” icon has been repurposed for servers whose matchmaking data can’t be retrieved but the server may be online. * The community server list is now no longer retrieved in the background unless the “friends” or “community” tab has been visited. This mitigates an issue for some Steam users that caused retrieval of the community server list via the Steam backend to overload their network. * Fixed a bug that caused retrieval of matchmaking data via PlayFab in the server list to hit the rate limit. * Fixed a bug where typing R in the “filter” box refreshed the server list. * (For modders) The player limit displayed in the server list is no longer hard coded.
Steam Only: * Fixed some issues with the Steam profile pictures displayed in-game. The image no longer looks washed out and now generates mipmaps to reduce aliasing at lower resolutions. * Matchmaking data for servers on the Steam backend can now be properly retrieved via the Steam backend. This improves server retrieval speed for servers on the Steam backend in the favorite and recent lists.
Xbox Only: * If the user has left a server as a result of entering suspend mode, show a notification when resuming from suspend mode. * The developer console is now disabled by default, and can instead be enabled via the new gameplay setting. * Massively improved retrieval speed of the friends server list.
