Meet Captain Bellemy "The Chameleon" Read
Rumors about a haunted ship lurking around the vanishing isles have been buzzing around. The Chameleon has been hunting lost merchant vessels foolish enough to sail into the fog surrounding the isles. Some say he's the son of Davey Jones himself. Others think he's just a trickster with smoke and mirrors. He knows you're coming for him and likely has a trap set just for you. Nothing you can't handle though, right?
New Level Content:
Play through a new 2 part mission on your quest to eliminate the Crimson Bandits.
Part 1:
The fog around the vanishing isles is thick and unforgiving. Luckily, even The Chameleon needs a way to sail through it.
- Find and follow the shipwreck markers that guide the way through the fog
- Use your map and compass to navigate through eerie waters
- Find the lighthouse that will guide you right to the chameleon
- Take out any enemy ships that dare cross your path
Part 2:
Have you fallen for The Chameleons Trap?
- Take out the welcome party
- Make your way to the heart of the fog where the Chameleons lays in wait
- Care to make a wager? Find The Chameleons ship amongst his ghostly imposters.
- Send him to Davey Jones Locker
Additional Content
Introducing Ramships
These speedy ships pack an extra heavy punch! They'll move out to a distance to shoot you from afar, before charging at you at full speed. Careful not to get hit by their Battering Ram!
Chain shot is here!
Chain shot cannonballs can now be purchased from the weapons shop or can be dropped by enemy ships. Chain shot is used to attack the sails of an enemy ship. Here's what it can do:
- Taking down sails can cancel the ram of an enemy Ramship.
- Taking down a few sails will slow an enemy down.
- Taking down many sails can stop an enemy dead in the water
- Chainshot to the hull of a vessel will do the same damage as regular cannonballs
Meet the Shopkeepers!
The Mission Board, Weapons Shop, and Shipwright now each have their own stationed wards to greet you and provide details!
UnderBelly, The Commisioner
Underbelly is a tough as nails retired sailor. Hanging up his captain's hat, he now runs the mission board, commissioning bounties and objectives for bold sailors and pirates alike, in order to keep the surrounding isles safe.
Leland, The Arms Dealer
Leland, if that is his real name, is a "former" black-market dealer. He sells arms and munitions at the weapons shop for a serious discount. Don't worry, he swears his products are legit.
Pegleg, The Shipwright
Old Pegleg Pete, has been building ships for a very long time despite never having sailed on one. Formerly working for the Navy, He defected and began to work for hire after they cut his pension.
Minor Updates
- Additional Volume Control options added to the menus
- Reset Save Game Data option added to the menus
- Pink Water / Water Reflection error -> Fixed
- Tails Avery not dropping barrel mines -> Fixed
Bugs
- Captain Booms 1st level has a lighting issue
- Ships still attack you when you're stopped at a shop in the open world
- Lelands animations aren't playing
