It’s amazing to see this finally resolved. For years, we had to tell players the game only worked well on NVIDIA GPUs. We contacted AMD multiple times, hoping for a fix… and now, it’s here!
Players using the RX 7800XT and RX 6700 have reported the game is running smoothly. If you’re using a Radeon GPU, let us know how it’s working for you too!

The truth is, we actually started writing down the first concepts about a year before that.
Without a doubt, this is the most bold and ambitious project we’ve taken on so far.
And to be honest... it’s been a constant mix of fear and excitement.
The core conceptual words that guided our first project, Distortions, were: contemplation and horror.
For our next project, Albatroz, they were: freedom and grief.
Now, with Chenen, they are: silence, solitude, and fury.
This game is a continuation of the design philosophy we started with Distortions,
and also the next chapter in the Giants' narrative arc,
introducing a new Giant: Chenen.
Chenen is a Traversal RPG about creation, destruction,
and a lingering question:
Who truly owns the land beneath your feet?

About GPU Compatibility Issues (OpenGL – AMD Radeon & Intel ARC)
Distortions runs on OpenGL, and some GPUs — particularly AMD Radeon and Intel ARC — may have limited or unstable support for this graphics API.
The game was developed using an engine called C4 Engine, which has been discontinued since 2016. On top of that, we built our own custom tools within this engine, making updates and compatibility fixes more complex.
In recent years, changes to AMD Radeon drivers have caused Distortions to malfunction on certain Radeon GPUs. Despite our efforts, we were unable to identify the root cause of the issue. We reached out to AMD for support but unfortunately received no response.
Intel ARC GPUs also have limited OpenGL support, which may lead to crashes or visual issues when launching the game.
We understand how frustrating this can be and appreciate your patience. For those affected, we’ve included a possible workaround using the Zink OpenGL-to-Vulkan layer (see post above).

🛠️ Compatibility Tip – Distortions (OpenGL Issues on Some GPUs)
If you're experiencing issues running Distortions — such as black screen, crashes, or graphical glitches — this may be due to limited OpenGL support on some GPUs, including Intel ARC and certain AMD cards.
A possible workaround is to use Zink, an OpenGL-over-Vulkan layer that can improve compatibility on these systems.
For Windows:
You can find a Mesa3D build with Zink support here:

For Linux:
If you're using Mesa drivers, you can enable Zink by launching the game with the following environment variable:
MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=zink %command%
This might help if the game doesn’t start or behaves incorrectly with your default drivers.
Use only if you're having issues — no changes are needed if the game runs fine on your system.

Hey guys the new feature "the music room" is finally here.
This feature was asked several times through our community and we thought that would be a cool idea to add this feature in.
You can select the music room trough the main menu, be aware that you first need to finish the game to be able to acess it.
If you already finished the game, you just need to load the last save point of the game just before the final fight and save it again. Then go back to the main menu and acess the music room.
In the music room you can play again the key musical moments of the game.
Like the "play be ear" or the the entirely final sequence.
We hope that you guys will like it.

After these long 9 years see our darling project calling so much attention, and see so many people playing and sharing with us all this love it´s incredible.
Finally a cycle that closes with the launch of Dist. And I (Thiago) just have to thank the almost 20 people who participated in the project, since 2009. Thank you people for providing this amazing experience that was developing Distortions.
And thanks as well for a lot of people who participated indirectly, always giving us strength trough here or trough Facebook.

The devroom is a place that show the background of the game, like the tools that we developed, pictures from the production, musics and more. We have plans to update it with new things from time to time.
We are still updating the game daily, fixing and polishing everything as fast as we can.
