Bullet Runner is a boomer shooter. Twin-stick shooter. Shooter. Full 10 hours of explosive action with baddies - massive armies of enemies swarming all over you and your mission is a simple one: destroy them all.

To celebrate this quite humbling mass of people slaying their controllers we wanted to make a new devlog to tell a bit about what we have been doing lately for the game, and what's coming soon also to the free prologue version.
We have been listening and watching the community playing the game and based on that we have improved game design, level design, enemies, and performance. And like the title said, there's some extra juicy visual enhancements: keyword volumetric fog.

Parkour sections encourage exploration and experimentation, as they can be used to discover hidden areas and shortcuts throughout the game.
Bullet Runner has similar parkour mechanics to Doom Eternal. Normally people love or hate this. But I assure you that parkouring in Bullet Runner is really fun.

Bullet Runner is Doom-esque top-down shooter coming in late 2023 but releasing a 4-hour free prologue version out already in November 2022. Load your BFG and get in the game!
Bullet Runner is like pure adrenaline poured into your brain and veins, just like the good ol’ days with Doom and Quake. You are Jack, and for some reason everyone wants you dead. Buller Runner is a top-down shooter where you run your way through the enemy-filled facility shooting, blasting, and raging through any obstacle set in your way.
“My love for DOOM Eternal is very strong, and I wanted to create my own kind of homage to the Doom series. Fighting and especially the glory kill mechanisms will be familiar for all like minded players, but in Bullet Runner the main character is just a regular badass-Jack'' tells Laura Moon, the developer behind the game.
The game is set to be released in late 2023 with well over 10 hours of gameplay, but the developer prepared a special free prologue to be released already in November 2022. The prologue will feature a lot of game to play – it will take about 3—4 hours for an average player to slay through the game. It is clear this prologue is not a demo, but a full game with specifically designed levels.

- Added level intro sequences - Modified level starting areas - Greatly reduced chance of player catchphrases - Tweaks, changes and improvements to game menu's - Moved weapon-reel to the top-right of the screen - Added option to set weapon-reel to either center or top-right of the screen - Recoded the entire chain system (it's a LOT more reliable and snappier now) - Zoomed out the gameplay camera for better visibility in arena fights - Slightly improved the game's performance - Added lighting colorization effects to 3D sprites

We’ve been hard at work, working on a very big new update that you’ll all get to experience very soon!
One of the big visual changes we’ve been working on is to increase the height of the walls in the levels, as well as improve the look of the lower front walls. This will assist in making it feel like the player is ‘inside’ of a building, and help with environmental immersion.
Next to environmental improvements, we’ve been hard at work adding in new enemy-types, polishing up existing mechanics and improving / reworking existing levels. Without going into too much detail (more will be revealed very soon), have a look at this video showcasing some raw uncut gameplay from the build we’re currently working on!! :
