We’re excited to roll out our latest update—now live on Steam! Last Thursday we launched on Quest 3, and new players have been tearing it up in multiplayer all weekend. Here’s what’s new:
Cross-Play with Meta Quest
Full cross-play support for online leaderboards, ghosts, and multiplayer.
Challenge a larger pool of racers or just hang out in shared lobbies.
As we are moving to cross platform, for compatibility reasons, you will have a new profile when launching the game and start fresh with the progression
Enhanced Multiplayer Experience
See other players in the multiplayer lobby and gesture at each other.
Easier entry into multiplayer: get notified whenever there’s action going on.
Temporary “mini-championship” leaderboards track your scores during each session.

bHaptics Suit Integration
Full support for bHaptics suits for a deeper haptic experience.

Long-Term Multi-Platform Support
We’ve overhauled much of our codebase to keep PCVR, Quest, and the upcoming PSVR2 versions in sync.

If you prefer the older version for some reason, we are keeping it live on the beta channel, but it will not be maintained in the future. You will keep your older profile with your progression and skins

We are very close to releasing a major update for the game. This update will contain all the stuff we developed for the Quest version launching on june 26. We will have a separate post to highlight what's new.
But before that, we need to verify that the game works with all XR controllers. We have tested with the following controllers:
Oculus Rift/Reift S controllers
Meta Quest2/3 controllers
HTC VIVE wands
If you have controllers not listed above and would like to help us validate them, please answer to this post. As we are now using OpenXR, most controllers should be supported in terms of triggers/thumbsticks/buttons, but we have seen that hand alignment may vary from one controller type to another. That's why we need you to make sure hands are properly aligned for you in the game.
To check that your controllers will work in the game, download this tool: VRacer Calibrator
This is an executable that you can launch on your PC with your headset plugged-in, and it will guide you through the two minutes process. For any questions related to controllers, please ask in this thread.
