- Expanded reading options. Added adjustable text size from 100% to 150%, an optional clean reading font, and a live settings preview. The original typewriter font remains the default.
- Adjustable reading background. Choose between the original charcoal presentation with animated film grain and a pure-black reading background. Reading preferences persist between sessions.
- Adaptive reading layout. Dialogue, choices, and investigation controls adapt to the window size and reading settings. Larger text can use a side-by-side layout that keeps the artwork and text separate.
- Expanded keyboard and controller navigation. Menus, dialogue, choices, chapter selection, investigations, and the soundtrack viewer support keyboard and controller navigation, with visible selection outlines and consistent Back and Pause behavior.
- Automatic input switching. Mouse/touch, keyboard, and controller input now use distinct active modes. Switching devices updates the cursor and selection feedback immediately, preventing leftover keyboard or controller highlights during mouse use.
- Remappable controls. Added separate keyboard and controller binding pages for selection, navigation, pause, soundtrack browsing, and hiding viewer controls. Bindings persist between sessions, duplicate assignments are rejected, and each device has a Reset Defaults option.
- Expanded audio settings. Added independent Master, Music, Ambience, and Effects volume controls, with saved preferences and smoother transitions between tracks.
- New soundtrack and environment viewer. Listen to the Office, Park, Docks, Alley, and Finale tracks alongside animated environments.
- Expanded display settings. Added borderless fullscreen, resizable windows, windowed presets for 1280×720, 1280×800, and 1920×1080, and a VSync toggle. Display changes automatically revert after 15 seconds unless confirmed.
- More reliable pause and resume. Pending dialogue choices survive menu and soundtrack visits. Music, ambience, and effects pause and resume consistently. The game also pauses when its window loses focus during gameplay.
- Story progression fixes. Prevented repeated advance input from firing story events more than once. Pending events are cancelled when changing passages, and hidden or paused choices cannot be activated.
- Improved progress and Steam achievement handling. Chapter progress is saved promptly, missing chapter achievements can synchronize from saved progress, and failed achievement submissions are retried. Existing chapter progress and all seven original achievements are preserved.
- Updated More Games screen. The menu and ending now feature Sylvan Tactics, with updated artwork, description, and a Wishlist on Steam button.
