v1.7.22:
FEATURE Added a new premium castle-themed 5-star building design (no building design affects any metrics, just a way to express your personal design taste).
UPDATE Increased war buy-in to 500k Chips and 50 Casino Points (thus increasing awards). Also, the Casino Points pot that gets distributed as awards has been increased by 25% above the buy-in amount.
UPDATE Some large areas of the city map were missing flying piggy banks, so there's now around 3x as many piggy banks flying around the city.
UPDATE Completely re-designed our networking code to vastly improve stability and performance of messages going to and from the server. This especially helps to reduce disconnects and better handle high volume times like 2XP day (this change has been live for a few weeks).
UPDATE Improve time formatting on ATMs to show hours and minutes instead of just minutes remaining until next party bomb purchase.
UPDATE Increased the number of randomly spawned pickups scattered around the streets of GoldFire City.
UPDATE Major daily consecutive streak milestones are now announced in global chat.
UPDATE Accounts marked as a memorial now have an icon on their profile window.
FIX Various errors and tweaks related to the recent database/server improvements.
FIX A few more fixes to the Steam application.

Olympics Medal Race
GoldFire City is playing host to the Winter Olympics! Can you take home the gold? v1.7.21 updates:
FEATURE Added 4 new casino building designs to choose from (1x 3-star, 2x 4-star, 1x 5-star).
UPDATE Updated Steam app so that links in global chat work, clicking images in private messages opens them at full scale, fullscreen setting now gets remembered, and various other improvements.
UPDATE Modernized our database back-end to provide enhanced stability and significant performance improvements to reduce lag and support more players without reduced server performance.
UPDATE The rate limit on posting in trade chat has been lowered from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
UPDATE Added game setting to allow reducing animations on bomb items (removes the spinning animation on chips/casino points that come out of party bombs).
FIX There was an area on the map with a bunch of random tiles covering the street.
FIX Several server errors that were causing brief disconnects.
FIX Some building animations were flickering when walking around.
FIX The time to next party bomb purchase sometimes wouldn't show on the ATM menu.

QOL Patch

We recently overhauled the CasinoRPG game client on Steam, and we've gotten some great feedback from you all since that update. Today's patch adds some fixes and quality of life improvements to the Steam version of the game. Here's to another great year of gaming in GoldFire City!
Clicking images in private messages will now open them in your browser window at full resolution.
Clicking links (such as to YouTube videos) in global chat will now open them in your browser.
The fullscreen setting now gets persisted across sessions.
When you are playing out of fullscreen, the window size and position will also get persisted.
A few minor bugs and error fixes in Steam.

FEATURE Added 6 new casino building designs that are free to renovate current and new casinos to (1x 1-star, 1x 2-star, 2x 3-star, 1x 4-star, 1x 5-star).
FEATURE When given the option to replace a broken item, you can now select the color to replace it with (only options available from the editor menu).
FEATURE Added new black color option for the "Massage Chair" hotel item.
UPDATE Major update to the Steam version of the game client with improved emoji/character support, improved Linux support, better rendering performance and more (it's now more in-line with the browser version).
UPDATE Jobs now receive pay increases up to job level 100 instead of just up to level 50.
UPDATE If a property on your watch list is currently for sale or up for auction, it'll now show a "LIVE" button that will take you directly to the listing.
UPDATE The property watch list is now sorted with active sales/auctions at the top of the list.
UPDATE Added a "watch" button to the listing details window to add the property to your watch list.
UPDATE Added option to instantly finish a new casino build that is already under construction.
UPDATE Added option to buy 50 party bombs at once.
UPDATE The party bomb purchase window now remembers the number of bombs you last purchased as the default selection.
UPDATE The mini-map now shows the memorial monument locations, which also lets you use the taxi/driver to travel to them.
UPDATE Added a 50k chip bet button to Solitaire.
UPDATE Added a "rebet" option to the Craps game.
UPDATE Added an alert to the top of the screen when a slot tournament is starting in 5 minutes.
FIX The slot tournament countdown timer is now synced with the server time, which should help prevent timing issues with the start of tournaments/sprints.
FIX Slot tournament notifications/reminder popups should now be working consistently.
FIX Casino metrics will now update correctly when a casino was closed before going to auction.
FIX Prevent showing the "sell item" modal when clicking on a locked item in the vault from a floor where that item can't be placed.
FIX Sometimes deleted messages would show back up in trade or other chat channels.

While the game gets regular updates that are downloaded directly into the Steam client, the game's Steam client generally doesn't need to get updated builds. However, this game client hasn't been updated in quite some time due to various technical challenges (and the fact that it hasn't been all that necessary for most updates).
It was a bit of an adventure on it's own to re-build and modernize the game client for Steam, but we're excited to announce that this work is complete and the update is available now. This update isn't about in-game features (again, those are downloaded directly inside the application when launching the game), but it's an important update for all of our Steam players:
Vastly newer rendering engine that provides performance and stability improvements.
Improved cache handling for faster startup when launching the game (only after the first launch after updating).
Your login details are now remembered so that you don't have to login again each time you launch the game in Steam.
Emojis and non-standard characters commonly used for crew names now work on Linux and Steam Deck.
Copy/paste should now work everywhere like it would in a browser.
Various other minor bug fixes and enhancements.

Trick-or-Treat 2025
When the ghosts and ghouls start roaming the streets, you know what that means! Click on the candy icon next to the promo icon to see the trick-or-treat progress and get details on how to participate in this community-wide event. Patch notes for v1.7.19:
FEATURE Added 12 new casino divider color options and 22 new lot divider color options.
UPDATE Due to performance restrictions, rendering of pickups on party bomb floors have been reduced. However, this isn't as necessary as it once was, so the number of displayed pickups per tile on phones/tablets will now match what is displayed on desktops/laptops.
UPDATE The party bomb ignite animation has been sped up so that you can drop consecutive bombs more quickly.
UPDATE There's always been a 1-day grace period each month before losing your consecutive days streak, but this is now increased to 2 days for streaks of 180+ and 3 days for streaks of 500+. This grace period now also resets at the start of each month instead of on a rolling 30 day basis, which helps avoid some rare instances that could cause an unintended reset of your streak.
UPDATE The Android app has been updated to support all of the latest Android features (it's currently in review, so it could be a few days before you can download the updated app).
FIX Edge case where the monthly casino profit leaderboard value wouldn't calculate correctly for a player that returns to the game shortly after their casinos sell in foreclosure auctions.
FIX A few server errors that would cause random bugs.
FIX Minor performance tuning on the server.
