New Demo for SHMUP Fest
We're part of SHMUP Fest, and to celebrate the occasion we've released a new demo! ✨ The demo includes all new visuals, with more dynamic enemy and ship movement animations, and also finally showing your enemies, the Corrupted, as they were always intended to look, truly evil! 😈

The demo includes all new visuals, with more dynamic enemy and ship movement animations, and also finally showing your enemies, the Corrupted, as they were always intended to look, truly evil! 😈
Besides that, we've also shortened the tutorial, added some awesome new features, like using your grav ability to jank and rip enemy parts off (and use them as your ammo).
List of major changes since the Prologue:
Features/Improvements

Added all new enemy movement animations
Added enemy corruption effects
Added new enemy attack telegraphs
New and improved tutorial
Difficulty selection, right after the tutorial ends
Added grabbing and ripping parts off of enemies
Besides those, there are tons more fixes, better balancing, and just general improvement to make the game play even smoother than before.

Hey Glitchers, just a quick update today, that addresses some of the issues we've been hearing from our community lately. One major feedback was that NG+ modes could be a bit too taxing, and that especially the Boss had way too much HP, making the fight a lot longer than it neede

just a quick update today, that addresses some of the issues we've been hearing from our community lately. One major feedback was that NG+ modes could be a bit too taxing, and that especially the Boss had way too much HP, making the fight a lot longer than it needed to be.
Here's the (really short) list of changes:
Balance

Reduced Boss HP
Increased Overheater Rate of Fire and Damage
Increased Fireball damage
Reduced NG+ enemy HP bonus
Fixes

Fixed final Siren dialogue
Fixed Rewards from Space Casino
Fixed Bug Submission form (slightly ironic)
We hope you like this (really!) final update for the Prologue, as we move on full force towards Infinity's Edge.

Heyo Stellar Explorers! After our big Traps & Translations update, we've got another follow-up for you! This one includes a whole bunch of fixes to issues reported by our awesome community, like finally reducing the Breaker's frontal AOE attacks (the Asteroid level miniboss),

After our big Traps & Translations update, we've got another follow-up for you!
This one includes a whole bunch of fixes to issues reported by our awesome community, like finally reducing the Breaker's frontal AOE attacks (the Asteroid level miniboss), so they're now challenging but still fair to dodge. We've also reduced trap HP by a good bit, so now it's possible to decide to quickly take them out, before the room gets too bullet-hell crazy. 💣💥
And one more big one, we've now added that you drop your old weapon when collecting a new one. Lots of players were asking about this, and although it makes some situations a bit more messy we tested it and think it is actually better this way. Thanks for pointing that one out to us, and not letting us off the hook for it! :D 💪
That all being said, here's the full changelist:

We are still trying to build up a decent number of wishlists for our launch later next year, and we're now only about 30% of where we will need to be, so every bit helps immensely! 🙌

Added and improved rewards after completing Challenge modes
Made Power UI stack with overlay, instead of going into second line
Improved Bouncer enemy attack animation
Added better ending animation to Challenge Modes
Improved Player accidentally jumping to next room after room clear
Add text feedback on Backstab damage
Improved Sanctuary NG+ selector effects
Longer lasting debris from enemies
Improved SFX and collection of Orbs and Shards
Add Screen Settings for Fullscreen or Borderless (Resolutions are WIP)
Balance

Increased attack startup for Bouncer and Breaker (first level Mini-Boss)
Reduced Bullet speed on a few enemies
Reduced aggro time for Stinger enemy in the Forge
Made some powers trigger on wave spawns instead of entering room: Cloaking Device, First Impression, Guns Akimbo
Fixes

Fixed Portal in Sanctuary sometimes not working
Fixed Hyper-Skythe sometimes didn't fire
Fixed EMP not hitting very close enemies
Lots more minor fixes, including Challenge mode reset, dialogue, Void Ring, and others

We hope you've been enjoying your journey through Galactic Glitch: Prologue! Today, we've implemented a hotfix update to address some bugs and improve your gameplay experience.
Here's what we've fixed:

Secondary icon: No longer remains visible after a jump.
Grab icon: Now properly disables when grabbing an enemy and a survival wave ends.
Rare power duplicates in shops: These should no longer occur.
Bargaining Skills Power: This now affects the current room correctly.
Shield and certain powers: These now reset properly when leaving the Challenge arena.
Item pickup from Random Shop: The issue preventing item pickup has been fixed.
Stuck in Jump Gates: We've added another fix to address this issue.
"High Roller" achievement: This should now unlock correctly.

We’ve absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of positive feedback we’ve had on the demo. So for starters, thank you so much to everyone who streamed the game, tweeted us, made videos, and tried the demo out. It was great to see all of you having so much fun enjoying the game as we had making it! 🥰
As we announced over on our Twitter, the Galactic Glitch demo isn’t going anywhere for the time being. In fact, we just updated it and released a new patch!
In this version "1023.1" you’ll find a few new changes:

We made some improvements to the game's performance. So hopefully no more stuttering! Experience fast and fluid controls as the game was intended! 🧈
We've also added new graphics options, so lower spec systems can play smoothly 🥔
More variance in level generation. Experience new layouts full of things to shoot and fling!
Some rebalancing of enemies: Sniper, Projector and Drone Controller
New visuals for “brittle” rocks, to make them easier to distinguish. That’s the ones that don't leave smaller parts, so don’t get upset when you shoot them and nothing comes out!
New visuals for "hidden" rocks, so they're not quite as hidden. 50% less hidden, 100% more rewards 🤑
Lots of bug fixes and improvements based on community feedback!
The new demo will be available by the time you read this, so go and check it out! (You might need to restart Steam to get the update)
