Lately we have secretly been working on a new game title. This time it’s a pure PC game as we need a little bit of a breather before developing another VR title.
It’s a cute and colorful co-op survival craft game with procedural maps, using Unreal 5s powerful nanite and lumen tech. We call it; Under a Rock.
Over the coming months we look forward to share much more about the game, and if time and capacity allows, we will also invite to closed beta testing before finally going early access.

Hi everyone! It finally happened, after a long time in Early Access we are now doing a full release of Karnage Chronicles. It has been quite a ride creating a VR Action RPG of the depth and size it turned out to be, much larger than originally planned, but so much more fun. Some things were cut along the way, some things were changed and others added, but the original vision remains which was bringing to life a dungeon crawler you can feel you are really inside, fighting for your life at every twist and turn, looting and killing, questing and playing together with friends in an adventuring party, or run it alone if you so prefer.
Development of Karnage Chronicles will continue after release.
What to expect: Level 3 revamped into a brand-new handcrafted area with hours of gameplay, new monsters, and challenges. In this update you will leave the caves and spend more time under the open sky. It replaces the old level 3 which may return in a different form in the future.

This will also be the last content update before full release. We have been set back like so many others due to the challenging times we live in, but we managed to pull through in the end and deliver an experience we feel proud of. This has sadly affected our ability to add additional classes before full release, and though we would really have loved to introduce them, we simply do not know at the time of writing if or when this will happen. What we do know with certainty is that development of Karnage Chronicles continues after release.

Same time as we are working on the next major content update we are also fixing old bugs and adding more polish, and whenever we have an opportunity to do so we will push these improvements to live.
What to expect: Fixed all broken achievements. Other stuff: Fixed a bug that re-armed the portcullis trap in Wyvernscale each time the level was reloaded. From now on it should stay as solved until the level is manually reset with an effigy.

It has been a long headache for us to implement Vive Snap Turning, and full support for Index Controllers and Windows MR. A lot of this has been due to Unreal 4 not properly supporting the devices for a long time, and when there has been a version other things was broken beyond repair that made it impossible for us to patch. Finally we have a version of UE4 that is stable enough to be released to public.
After this update, we would really appreciate your feedback on any issues you may encounter and especially if the new controller settings is to your liking or not. ISSUE 1 - no one can find your game session
If a game session is being hosted but no one can find it, then something have gone wrong between Unreal Engine and Steam. This problem is on the side of the person hosting the game session, and in order to fix the issue the host should follow these steps in order depending on HMD:

If searching for a game session to join or trying to host a game session results in an indefinitely spinning wheel with a text saying searching, then something have gone wrong between Unreal Engine and Steam. In order to fix the issue follow these steps in order depending on HMD:

Fixed an issue that was causing weird flickers for Oculus users in multiplayer if they joined as guest and used smooth turning. Fixed an issue that was causing weapons to show at an off-angle for Oculus users in multiplayer if they joined as guest.
2-4 player co-op is here! Play through the campaign together with friends or with random people. Karnage multiplayer comes with full drop-in/drop-out support and can be started at anytime after creating a hero and going through the tutorial. Monster strength and number of spawns

Monster strength and number of spawns scale automatically based on how many players are in the party, so feel free to go about your adventures while at the same time hosting a multiplayer game, monsters won't become tougher or more numerous until someone joins your game and it will scale down again when someone leaves.

Thanks to great contributions by members of the community we have been able to quickly find and fix issues we were not aware of and at the same time focus on known issues according to what came out high on players wishlist during play.
Starting the coming weekend, we are opening the beta branch for everyone who owns a copy of Karnage Chronicles and would like to give 2-player co-op an early spin, and to help us find any remaining issues that might exist.
