Much has happened over the course of 2017, and our Crash Wave Games team want to extend a special thank you to all of our players! Throughout the year your feedback has helped inspire changes like the model redesign of the Valkyrie, and get bugs that you have caught fixed. Keep in contact with us on twitter and in the Steam Discussions for updates, known bugs, and to give us your feedback.
Our latest patch has several fixes:

Fixed bug with click sounds playing on options window initialization.
Fixed bug with missing options panel reference in battle editor.
Added a few more side quests to the 3rd region, and a random great barge battle.
Changed some shipwreck encounters that couldn't be completed without picking up a viking.
Fixed a minor bug where all the vikings would play victory animations after killing a golem.
Fixed a UI bug: fire up skill was causing the character details window to show a regular crit chance of 100%.
Doubled damage from bleed effects. Figured it should be stronger since the damage can be avoided.
Achievements fix to battles won. Go out and show the world what type of leader you are with the “Warlord” achievement!
Looking Ahead
We’ve got big plans for next year! Features like more playable areas, questlines, and Vikings are all in the works. We know you want to get your hands on this content and we can’t wait to share it with you. Please stay tuned for more updates from us in 2018! We’ve been working hard on getting this game finished and your help and support will ultimately make it successful. We’re thrilled to have you with us as we continue to build what we believe is a great game and community!

Much has happened over the course of 2017, and our Crash Wave Games team want to extend a special thank you to all of our players! Throughout the year your feedback has helped inspire changes like the model redesign of the Valkyrie, and get bugs that you have caught fixed. Keep in contact with us on twitter and in the Steam Discussions for updates, known bugs, and to give us your feedback.

We've read through our discussions board and have a new set of awesome changes ready for build 1.64. This version of Iron Tides also includes a new tile-set (in addition to our custom level editor) that prepares our team for the next region (TBA).
Here are this week's changes:

The Beserker now wields two axes and does not have a shield. This makes him much more vulnerable to incoming attacks - keep a close eye on him! We've also increased his overall damage to balance out his new weakness.
The Valkyrie can now attack diagonally, which gives her more versatility as a warrior.
Two new skills have been added to the Hunter: Deadly Aim, Point Blank
One new skill has been added to the Beserker: Mastery of Arm
One new skill has been added to the Vanguard and the Beserker: Eye for Weakness.

We've read through our discussions board and have a new set of awesome changes ready for build 1.64. This version of Iron Tides also includes a new tile-set (in addition to our custom level editor) that prepares our team for the next region (TBA).
Here are this week's changes:

Thank you for playing Iron Tides and leaving us with a review. We learn a lot from what you have to say, and this week we are celebrating BaronVonPlay's epic victory. He uploaded a video of Iron Tides where he absolutely decimates all who stand in his way.
This week, we're adding features to help polish our overall game experience, and to help new players jump in and get started. We want to also thank warriors on the discussions board who have leaped into the fray to ask questions and post suggestions.
This week's changes are:

A NEW TUTORIAL: We noticed players were having a hard time with the original tutorial and needed help during their play session. We hope this new tutorial helps you ease into the experience and get to stabbing enemies in the face faster.
Poison and Bleed particle effects are now active at the beginning of your turn. This makes it a bit easier to know who on the field is the most vulnerable.
We re-balanced a few abilities on the Vanguard (Avenging Blow), and the Wolf Priestess (Remedy).
We also re-balanced the Trading Route quest making it is easier to complete.
We fixed a bug with the Vanguard. Big thanks to the discussions board for finding it.
FAQ
We are thrilled to read reviews and posts from players who want to better their gaming experience. Having said that, its come to our attention that we have yet to explain the finer features of our game.
Can I Move My Ship With the Keyboard?
Absolutely, use WASD to sail about the seas.
Is There a Hot-Key to End My Turn?
Great question, hit the SPACEBAR to end your turn immediately. **BE CAREFUL not to end your turn accidentally!**
Are There Hot-Keys to Select an Ability?
They are the numbers 1-2-3-4 above QWERTY on your keyboard.
Will There Be An UNDO Button?
We're giving this some thought as it is a sensitive feature to add in a strategy game with rogue-like elements. However, as mistakes do happen, we don't think anyone should be punished for making one. We are looking for a solution to help alleviate the stress of making the wrong move, and tentatively agree to include a limited UNDO move for testing in a later build. If you have a good solution that doesn't take away from the difficulty of the game, drop us a line on the discussions board or send us an email to [email protected]

Welcome back to all our warriors out to raid at PAX West. This week, we have some long awaited changes that you'll absolutely love:
This week's changes:

NEW CHARACTER -The Wolf Priestess: a healer type class with range to deal magic damage from afar.
NEW CHARACTER -The Iron Breaker: a tank class with high block chances to leave your enemies feeling humiliated. Also, a hammer to bash their skulls in!
A MAKEOVER - The Valkyrie now has a new look. A few streamers had compared her to a lovely lady ready to serve "a fancy a cup of tea". *Developers flip the table*. The Valkyrie now looks like a Viking ready to floss your bones with her spear.
Added one new enemy called: the Master Assassin.
While in combat, we added an icon next to your health bar, so that you can see how many move points your crew has left.
Further game balance tweaking with dodge and critical hit chances.
You can also spend Glory to re-roll the warriors in the Great Hall.
Looking for Linux Testers
Unfortunately, we've experienced some hiccups in development that leaves our friend Linux behind in the dust. If you are a Linux user, we have a post in the discussions board where you can work with us to be help us be a beta tester in preparation of Full Launch.
We're Connected to you through Twitch
We noticed a live stream of Iron Tides this weekend happening through Twitch. If any warriors out there have a Let's Play account on Twitch, feel free to add us as CrashWaveGames! We're happy to stop by during your stream and check out what you're up to.

Anyway... vikings don't get emotional - let's keep this ship sailing.
This week's changes:

You can now store your vikings in the Great Hall (thank you Elvoc and Rickytan253 for spear-heading this on the discussions board).
You can shuffle your party of vikings around and prioritize your strongest warriors.
Fixed a few bugs in the level editor (send us a level so we know it works).
Coming Soon...
We're producing a new character to join your war band. The Wolf Priestess is designed to bring an element of magic and healing into Iron Tides and will be ready for testing at the end of this month. You can help us shape her abilities by jumping on the discussions board and leaving us with a suggestion.

This week we have several new features and tweaks we know you'll enjoy:

Every battle has a fast forward button that hustles your warriors (and your enemies) to the end of their turn.
In addition to that, enemies are now faster when taking their turn.
Added a new BRUTAL difficulty that leaves you close to death at every battle.
In response to the discussions board: 6 new side quests are now available for completion.
Also in response to another discussion board: the Valkyrie's leap ability now costs 2 Fury instead of 1.
Deathmark and Resist has been nerfed to 25% from 50%. To make up for the change, the duration of the status effects have been extended to 2 turns instead of 1.
There are 2 new battle locations: the Armory and the Citadel.
One new enemy has been added: the Pirate Captain.
Tweaked the way deployment is done so that it feels more intuitive.

This week we have several new features and tweaks we know you'll enjoy:

Every battle has a fast forward button that hustles your warriors (and your enemies) to the end of their turn.
In addition to that, enemies are now faster when taking their turn.

More Hotfixes v1.55

We're experiencing high volumes of support emails and comments from our discussions board; we are doing everything we can to respond in a timely manner.
Thank you for your patience - we've implemented a new game build with hot-fixes addressing some of the topics we've been reading about:

A new cool down has been implemented for the Bomb Throwers.
Another pass on game balancing has been issued (it is now easier to level up your vikings. Please see the discussions board if this is still an ongoing problem for you).
We fixed a freeze bug that only occurs in Norhaven.
Re-did our intro text to be more concise and to the point.
More custom music has been added to the experience.

We're experiencing high volumes of support emails and comments from our discussions board; we are doing everything we can to respond in a timely manner.
Thank you for your patience - we've implemented a new game build with hot-fixes addressing some of the topics we've been reading about:

Launch Week + Hot Fixes v.153
Hail Warriors! Thank you for playing Iron Tides. This will be the first of many announcements as we hope to launch this game with your input as our guidance. At the moment, we've been deep in development and reading your discussions. Here's a shout-out to the Vikings who have lef

Thank you for playing Iron Tides. This will be the first of many announcements as we hope to launch this game with your input as our guidance. At the moment, we've been deep in development and reading your discussions. Here's a shout-out to the Vikings who have left us a review and are talking about the game.
We also want to praise our Kickstarter backers for helping us get this far and welcome new warriors from Steam. Stay ruthless!
Hot Fixes

Thanks to the discussion board, we were able to isolate a strange saving issue which we believe has now been fixed.
After reading additional reviews, we've included an adjustable difficulty setting: EASY, MEDIUM, HARD. This can be found in the OPTIONS menu. For the record, the game will always start on HARD.
We've added new tunes to jam out to during your sailing adventure.
We refined our level-editor so that you can try making your own levels! *Note, this will become relevant as we draw closer to full launch*
Do you like winning contests?
Throughout our future updates, we will be hosting contests which can also be found on our Kickstarter page and our website. We are doing this because we are a small team and we rely on the support of the community. Getting your friends to play our game and leaving us with a review (good or bad) is the first step. We're engaged and ready to listen to you all the way to Full Launch, and are giving back to our fans where possible.
We hope you'll take a minute to help us spread the word!
