The world has ended - again. But you, Alloy? You are the one rebuilding it.
We are excited to announce that Project Thea is now available in Early Access. Step into a dark, Slavic-inspired post-apocalypse where fate, folklore, and forgotten magichines collide. As the Alloy, you will rebuild the last surviving colony, explore the Wasteland, gather resources, and face enemies using deep, tactical card-based combat.
What awaits you in Early Access right now
The current build features hours of gameplay and a complete playable loop. You can:
Explore a retro-futuristic world scarred by the Fall
Craft tools, cook meals, and manage your supplies
Rebuild your city and unlock new buildings and research
Meet companions with their own stories and skills
Make choices that steer branching narratives
Fight foes using tactical decks, skills, and quick decision-making
There is already plenty to do, experiment with, and survive through.
What is still coming
While the game is fully playable and filled with content, some features are still in development or planned for expansion. Early Access is the beginning of the journey, not the end.

Project Thea October 2025 Demo Update
Camping Redesign End Turn is now separate from Camping , allowing you to end the turn without performing any other actions. Camping actions now require assigning party members to specific tasks — rest, cook, scavenge, repair, and more. Scavenging added: you can now assign units t
Camping Redesign
End Turn is now separate from Camping, allowing you to end the turn without performing any other actions.
Camping actions now require assigning party members to specific tasks — rest, cook, scavenge, repair, and more.
Scavenging added: you can now assign units to gather materials anywhere on a cleared hex. (Resources appear after clearing a POI — i.e. after all its floors are complete.)
Crafting Card Booster Packs added: craft a booster pack and choose 1 of 3 cards to add to your deck.
Healing updated: each End Turn now heals d3 Wounds (if you have Supplies). Camping can improve healing for the most wounded unit, with no risk of regression as before.
Equipment Screen redesigned for faster, cleaner access.
Group View now displays which cards belong to which NPCs — so you’ll know what you lose if someone doesn’t make it home.
Many new crafting items added, along with material rarity tiers.
Meals now have their own screen, clearly showing bonuses and effects.
⚠️ Note: Because the Research/Tech Tree is not yet implemented, all item rarities are currently available from the start — this will change once the system is in place.
City Upgrades
3MD Printforge is now part of the Core Development Room.
Tower of Commerce offers rotating trade items that change with each season and expand with higher tech levels.
Research Lab added (non-functional for now).
Council System streamlined: the PC Main and their Alloy Twin now preside at the head of the Council, with three Advisors drawn from the population.
Council Skills are calculated like group skills for event checks.
Each Councillor’s Domain determines their bonus type.
Map & Exploration
Enemy list accessible at the bottom-left of the UI.
Remote Access to the Project unlocks after your first visit.
Scavengeable resources appear on cleared POIs.
Hide Markers button now works — perfect for those cinematic screenshots.
Battle
Run Away / Pause Menu option implemented — live to fight another day.
Enemy cards are briefly displayed during combat; hovering over them extends viewing time.
The Main/Expert Hand and Side Hand are now visually distinct — the side hand (MAX 3 cards, drawn each turn) includes Minions.
Skill Challenges
Option to pay Supplies to increase success chance removed.
Option to pay Supplies for a re-roll added.
Morale
New events trigger when party members grow deeply unhappy — some may decide to leave.
Added info pop-ups when morale changes due to personality traits (Believer, Progressive, Idealist, Pragmatic).
Additional morale systems still WIP.
Other Updates
You can now dismiss party members while out in the Wastelands.
HUD warnings improved for clarity and readability.

We have some exciting news for you - we've been working on another cool DLC for Thea 2 and we hope to get it finished for you later this year.
It is too early to disclose the full scope of this endeavour, but here are just a few things we've been working on so far:

a new human class based on the Destiny stat, as you've told us the stat seems unloved and there's never enough new human options, right?
a new and cool class for dwarven women - time for the men to let the world see why they keep their awesome women secret ;)
several new quest lines and events
rats have a new quest too, because there never are enough rat-centered stories in Thea...
some new pets, perhaps even a new race
tweaks and fixes in existing events
As we are a small team, this project may take us extra time as we fit it around our new commitments, but we hope to deliver something fun for you to enjoy when we're done.

Today's patch brings a couple changes to events:

Fix to the red cave, mental bandit challenge route (not all paths were taken into account in the previous fix),
Halloween dlc, Forefathers; added a clone of adv node 14 and an extra win condition to node 13 to avoid an exploit,
Added an option to change into the blue dragon as reward for Gosk,
Added the young sniezynka to the list when you advance your chosen, so that the young one can also become elder now,
Tweaked the light vs dark event (KS Events) to reduce its repeatability.

Today's update is mostly a bug fixing one:

Fixed groups staying in the same hex getting events not linked to them,
Fixed the orc chosen advancement option where only male orcs could become warriors, also added a bloodtracker option for orcs (VOLH DLC; Chosen Advancement Id37; Node 9 &53),
Fixed KS Events; Sea Haven 4b; added log10 in start node so that the event will now be marked as done in the logbook,
Added a surrender dialogue option for the red cave bandit quest, so that you can avoid the challenge altogether, by accepting some mental damage (mChapter1;Id19;node109),
Fixed Alpha Occupation and Slav Occupation events, where the Gosk quest could become looped,
Fixed arena event where at one stage you could not invite other players/groups to join (Post Water DLC, id140),
Added missing character variants for Human Zerca and Young Zerca (HumanClericM4) and Orc Slugger and Elder Slugger (OrcWarriorM6),
Balancing changes to Net Shot skill,
Fixed a number of spelling mistakes.
As announced last week, this update will break games saved in the previous version. If you have a saved game you would like to continue, the previous build 0660 is available on Beta branch. Player profiles and god points are not affected.
