Greetings Trainscapers: It's time to build to your heart's content. Introducing Sandbox Mode , which has no quantity restriction on trains, props, and all sorts of fun objects! To access the Sandbox Mode, simply use God-mote on the door. The building interface is the same and lay

It's time to build to your heart's content. Introducing Sandbox Mode, which has no quantity restriction on trains, props, and all sorts of fun objects! To access the Sandbox Mode, simply use God-mote on the door.
The building interface is the same and layouts saved within Sandbox Mode will have a little label on them. Use the door to return to Normal Mode, where you'd have access to your Steam Inventory objects.

It's time to build to your heart's content. Introducing Sandbox Mode, which has no quantity restriction on trains, props, and all sorts of fun objects! To access the Sandbox Mode, simply use God-mote on the door.
The building interface is the same and layouts saved within Sandbox Mode will have a little label on them. Use the door to return to Normal Mode, where you'd have access to your Steam Inventory objects.

Greetings Fellow Trainscapers! As hinted in Update 3, we were working on a new & complex system. It is by no means complete, but we felt it's time to let you have a run at it. Triggers are special objects that can be linked to any remote-controllable objects. An example of a

As hinted in Update 3, we were working on a new & complex system. It is by no means complete, but we felt it's time to let you have a run at it.
Triggers are special objects that can be linked to any remote-controllable objects. An example of a remote-controllable object is the Locomotive, which you turn on/off, blow whistle, and change the speed. Though the number of such objects are limited at this moment, we plan to add more as time goes on.
By placing a Trigger in the world and link it to a remote-controllable object, you can then program the Trigger to one of the commands of the linked remote-controllable object. For instance, turn the Locomotive on/off. Once that's done, whenever an object collides with the Trigger, it would fire that command to the remote-controllable object.
Triggers are handy when you want to conduct trains quickly without using the God-mote to point at them. 5 Triggers are available in this week's freebie gift box.

As hinted in Update 3, we were working on a new & complex system. It is by no means complete, but we felt it's time to let you have a run at it.
Triggers are special objects that can be linked to any remote-controllable objects. Greetings Fellow Trainscapers! Update 3 is relatively small but adds a feature that many of us wanted when we first shipped the game - multiple save slots! Now you can create new layouts without overwriting previous creations. We are also working on a big system for Update 4. It

Update 3 is relatively small but adds a feature that many of us wanted when we first shipped the game - multiple save slots! Now you can create new layouts without overwriting previous creations.
We are also working on a big system for Update 4. It is rather complex but a very exciting one. We will share details when we make more forward progress.

Access Save/Load menu via non-tool hand's Menu Button
Up to 7 save slots are available, in addition to auto-save
Save files can be found under Trainscape/Saves folder
Previous save file will be migrated to Save 1
Other Changes

Un-opened Gift Boxes can be found under the Goodies category with Mr. Claw tool
While taking screenshots, swipe non-tool hand's D-Pad to zoom in and out
Train audio will no longer play when Track Gun tool is active
Undo an auto-closed track will place resume markers (spike balls) correctly now

We are happy to release our first update. The most requested feature since launch was the ability to ride the train. Now you can do that!
Also, new content are made available through free Gift Boxes. At least one will be given out each week. You must login to claim your box. So grab the update and hop on.

Tool: God-mote

Ride the locomotive! Highlight a train with the God-mote and use D-Pad UP to jump inside the cabin. While riding the train, you can continue to swipe D-Pad LEFT/RIGHT to change its speed. Use D-Pad DOWN to exit. You can even blow the whistle with D-Pad LEFT!
Switch TV channels when there is more than 1 locomotive on the table
TV will automatically turn off when there are no valid locomotives in play
Tool: Mr. Claw

Highlighting a pose-able character will now give it a proper outline
Improved train placements, especially on elevated tracks
ALT (hold trigger on non-tool hand) allows trains to be placed on the table instead of being forced to stick to tracks
Fixed a bug which would occasionally prevent trains from being placed on highlighted track
Tool: Track Gun

ALT (hold trigger on non-tool hand) will hide spike balls from view, which makes selecting small track segments possible
Delete track segment button has been mapped to D-Pad DOWN to avoid accidental deletions
Improved track loop-closing assistant. Reminder that loop-closing algorithm only kicks in when 2 open ended tracks segments are within 90-degrees angle of each other
Improved snapping to existing guides
Preview track segment is now tinted blue
New Starter Marker will no longer inherit grade setting from the last track segment placed
General UI improvement while building tracks

Improved physics between world objects, especially between small objects such as placing a person on a bench. (Train physics will be improved in future updates)

Known Issues

Certain poses will cause the pose-able character to slide across the table; try placing them with ALT (hold trigger on non-tool hand)
Switching tools while holding an object would make that object harder to pickup
When coupling train cars together, sometimes the train car that is being connected to may do a 180 flip
Visual effects from unboxing Starter Kit and Gift Box may appear black
