0.4.5 — Hotfix Q works while your hands are full Tap Q to set a carried item down — the same as E, no fumbling. It used to do nothing at all while you were carrying something, which is how people ended up pressing left-click and hurling the thing instead. Hold Q to throw it , on
0.4.3 — Clap in the Dark Clap your hands Left-click with empty hands to clap. A real noise through the normal pipeline: a bright flash in your own colour, about a 7 m front, and the floor hears it. It is the light you have when you cannot or will not speak — and the creatures tre
0.4.2 — Hotfix The Core Hound guards It used to stand on the Core and let anyone walk up. Now it growls at anything inside 4.5 m and bites inside 2.6 m — one bite concusses, a second in the same window kills, and carrying the Core off still gets you killed outright. It guards the
0.4.1 — Hotfix First day of the camera update, first round of fixes. Thanks to everyone who sent reports. Sending photos and video "VIDEO LOST" is fixed. Large sends were flooding the network queue and quietly dropping — so a clip would upload most of the way and then die. Files
0.4.0 — Shoot What You Can See The tablet you already carry now has a camera. Point it at the dark and you get a photograph — and that photograph opens a page in a reference book that starts out almost empty. The bestiary and the encyclopedia are not handed to you. You take them,
0.3.7 — Hands Free The radio and the tracker beacon no longer compete with your tools for space — and the radio can be used without taking it out at all. Dedicated slots Your first radio and first beacon add their own slot to the bar when you pick them up — set apart from the ord
0.3.6 — Beacons, Clatter & Honest Hits One new piece of kit, a lot of new noise, and a melee rewrite that makes the client's screen the one that counts. New gear: the tracker beacon A passive slot item from the shop. Every two seconds it drops a point on the map for the whole
0.3.5 — Brand, Focus & Splatter A polish pass on everything you look at: the company mark is now part of the world, screens behave like real hardware, and the lab grenades finally leave a mess behind. The Echo Mates mark is in the world On the gear. The mark is worn into the
Melee finally feels like it hits The wrench and the boot had no weight to them, and the real reason was timing: the clang played about a sixth of a second before the swing reached anything, and on a client the kicking leg only showed up after a round trip. Both are fixed — the hi
Labs are leaking Lab floors now have permanent acid and cryo spills — normal-sized puddles, not corridor-wide lakes. Every one has a visible cause: a pipe dripping the same liquid from above, a tipped flask or cryo barrel still draining from its neck, or the shards of a broken on
Another round straight from your reports. Bodies go on your shoulder Carrying a teammate no longer means holding them in front of your face. They're folded over your right shoulder — legs down to your right where you can see them, and in third person your carrier's arm is actuall
Mostly fixes, and most of them came from watching your runs. Creatures can no longer hit what they haven't noticed A creature used to swing at anyone who came within reach, even someone standing perfectly still in the dark. Now it has to have heard you — your own voice, step or b
You told us a full crew dies on the first floor while a solo run gets to the fifth. Here's the first pass at that — with the noise rules intact, because sound being dangerous is the whole game. Noise is now a person, not a crowd Four people running is charged as one runner. A cre
Two new jobs, and neither one is about carrying something to the van. THE PSI EMITTER Somewhere on the floor stands a device that reaches through the dark. It does not need light and it does not need to hear you — only a clear line through the rooms. Everyone it touches is alread
A hotfix built almost entirely on your reports. Thanks for them. Your loot stops breaking for no reason This was the big one, and it had three separate causes, all now fixed. Walking into a flask, or simply standing on top of one, used to hand it your own momentum and shatter it.
The biggest update so far. The shop yard is now yours to build on, and what you build there stays with you forever. THE BASE Contracts used to leave nothing behind but money. Now every run also brings back materials , and the yard above the lift is where they turn into something
A quick hotfix based on your feedback. Mines no longer go off "by themselves" Creatures could set off a floor's mines, and then an unrelated noise from a player would detonate them. The blast, and the floor's anger, got blamed on whoever happened to be talking. Now a creature can
The job board is gone. From now on, the company hands you ONE order per shift, and you'll have to deal with whatever's on it. Shift orders Instead of picking a job from three, every shift comes with a random mixed order: 2–3 required tasks plus 1–2 optional ones that pay extra. T
Echo Mates — Update: Brooder Clutch, Cryo Haul & Loot Carts This update brings two new contracts, a new kind of room, loot carts, a proper payout screen and a long list of quality-of-life changes. As always: everything that makes noise can get you found. New contracts BROODER
New loot on every floor Floors now hide valuables you can bring back to the surface. Load them into the truck in the yard to sell them. You get paid for finds even if the contract fails, and deeper floors pay more. Folders, Hard Drives & Laptops: small finds that fit in a qui
