Some games have no randomness except the actions of the human might (such as Chess) whereas others are only games of chance (many card games). However, most games exist in the mid-space exploring the use of dice/randomness yet giving the player some control over events. This panel explores that middle ground of gamic chance as exemplified by the roll of the dice!

Here is the latest additions and bug fixes for Ogre!

Added the combat results table to display when clicking the odds tooltip on the attack summary
Updated premade formation 1 in scenario MkIII Attacking

Bug fixes

Fixed AI deploying units incorrectly in scenario MkIIIs Attacking
Fixed bridges not having correct strength value
Fixed replay screen speed dial being capped at 1.9x
Fixed nuke effect not displaying correctly
Fixed the "Delete" deploy action not highlighting correctly on right click
Fixed units being selectable when unable to move
Fixed being able to deploy more than 5 infantry to the same hex
Fixed tanks with infantry riding it being selectable for movement after all movement points are used

Ogre - The Language Update (& others)
We've updated the game with some new additions and the requested language switch option. Updates; Added languages; French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese & Japanese Added Language Options (separate to computer OS) in Settings Spillover fire

Spillover fire misses added to combat log
Bridges have correct defence of 8
Added concede popups for Ogres/CPs
Other minor fixes with popup layouts.
Note: We've disabled Mac creating a custom MP game - there's an issue currently with the combination of Unity/Steamworks versions and we need to investigate further. Can still join games/play ranked fine!
We're looking into this now.

With two factions to choose from – the North American Combine and the Paneuropean Federation – and a whole host of different unit types from Light, Superheavy, and Missile Tanks, G.E.V.s, Infantry, Marines, Howitzers, all the way to Ogres (Mark I to Mark VI), you’ll be able to play your way, a different way, every time.

Ogre’s gameplay has withstood the test of time for over forty years since it was first released on tabletop and then more recently on PC.

Take control and compete for power on the irradiated battlefields of the future as you play your part in an endless world war. Console players will now get a chance to play the definitive version of Ogre, which includes the expanded G.E.V. rules.

With the console editions come achievements! Xbox and PlayStation players will be able to collect achievements as they play Ogre again and again.

We have been hard at work updating the PC version of Ogre for our community.
🏆Added 5 new achievements🏆
For all those achievement hunters out there, we have added new achievements for you to find;

Ready Fire - Have 10+ units (armour or infantry) fire on the same turn
Demolition Ogre - Destroy an enemy Ogre in Overrun
Steel Rain - Destroy 3 units with spillover fire
One Ping Only - Deploy reinforcements when down to one remaining unit
David and Ogreliath - Destroy or disable an Ogre using only Infantry or MBS units
✨Added localization for the following languages✨

French
Italian
German
Spanish
Brazilian Portuguese
Simplified Chinese
Japanese
📚Added custom and premade formations for deployment📚
This is a new feature we wanted to bring into the game. For any scenario that requires manual deployment, we now have formations!
Each of these scenarios will include 2 premade formations of units, so now you'll be able to jump into the action so much quicker.
Each scenario also has 3 custom formation slots, so you can save your perfect formation ready to re-use whenever you jump into that scenario in the future!

Refined Audio and Bug Fix Update

As well as Improving the Audio there is also a bug fix and feature we've added into the game:

We have fixed the game screen issue bug, which was causing some people to not be able to play the game.
Spinning Timer icon has been added, to Show when the AI is thinking when playing the AI.

We've just added an update to Ogre that improves the speed and process of the AI, so your Ogre games should play much smoother now and be more fun. As well as updating the AI, we've also made a number of other changes to the game: Updated the game to a current version of Unity Fi
We've just added an update to Ogre that improves the speed and process of the AI, so your Ogre games should play much smoother now and be more fun.
As well as updating the AI, we've also made a number of other changes to the game:

Updated the game to a current version of Unity
Fixed a couple of edge case loading bugs.
Fixed; Scenario Description text not updating Steam Workshop Description
Save game fix for edge case for a weapon type status
Improved game stability for game running for long periods
Clarification on video game rules for Submerged Marines

Learn to play OGRE with one of our awesome community members and mod
These will be 2-player sessions so they can have 1-2 people at a time. The sessions will be 2 hours long focusing on the basic mark III. Depending on numbers for the sessions there will be walk throughs for both sides or chances to swap sides. The sessions will aim to simulate having 2 people playing the boardgame at a convention.
