Dear Polynauts!
Hello, Jan here from Broken Rules – the studio who published POLYCRUSHER. Since we are first and foremost game developers ourselves, publishing other games has never been an aim we actively pursued. For this one it made sense though, since Julia – one of the team members of the developer Atomic Pond Studios – also worked on our game Old Man’s Journey and asked if we were interested in partnering up, to launch POLYCRUSHER on Steam. We saw the charm in the game and liked its humorous approach and decided to go for it.
Now, almost 9 years after it’s release, we unfortunately have to inform you that we’ll retire the game from the Steam store. Since we plan to continue publishing only our own games in the near future, we would like to also reflect this in our Steam catalog. In other words, we’ll return the full publishing rights of POLYCRUSHER to Atomic Pond and will stop selling the game here on Steam.
Now, what does this mean for anyone who bought the game?
Retired games will remain in players' Steam libraries. Those players will continue to be able to download, install, and launch the game. The Steam Community remains visible and accessible for players to post and share in. [Source]
We talked to Atomic Pond and they might upload the game somewhere else to conserve history. If this is the case, we’ll also inform you here.
If you have any further questions, please let us know here or reach out via support at brokenrul dot es.
Sincerely, Jan
