👋 Hello, and welcome 🎉 If you are reading this, you are one of the first people outside our studio to play PeekaBlock. Thank you — genuinely. Come in, mind the wet paint. Here is the pitch, in case you clicked "Play" before reading anything: you are a block. Hiders paint themse
Everyone should update The network version went 31 → 47 — sixteen steps in a week. An out-of-date client cannot join at all. Restart Steam and update before you organise anything. The map list is almost entirely new Four brand-new maps are playable: Zoo , Battlefield , Egyptian T
Everyone must update The network version went 29 → 31. An out-of-date client cannot join. This one matters more than usual: a mismatched player's lowered body would be treated as standing by the server while they believed they were hidden, so shots would land where neither player
Everyone must update The network version went 25 → 29 — four steps in one build, including a change that renumbers how every character is spawned. An out-of-date client cannot join, and the server refuses it by name during the join. Restart Steam and update. Crouch is real It has
⚠️ Everyone must update The network version went 24 → 25. As before, an out-of-date client cannot see or join your lobby — but this time the server checks it during the join itself and refuses by name, so a mismatched player now gets a clear refusal instead of connecting and quie
⚠️ Everyone must update — again, and this one is a double break The network version went 22 → 24. An out-of-date client cannot see your lobby in the server list and cannot join it. Please make sure every single person restarts Steam and updates before you organise a session. If s

⚠️ Everyone must update — this one breaks compatibility The network version changed (20 → 22). Unlike the last few updates, an out-of-date client cannot join you — it will not even see your lobby in the server list. That is deliberate: it is far better than two builds quietly dis
Late joiners no longer permanently miss part of your paint If someone joined while you were painting, the strokes you made during that moment were counted as already saved when they were not actually in the image yet — so they were dropped, and that person never saw them for the
If you were still building when the round started, you never left the lobby Reported by Zack and reproduced here: keep building as the round begins and you simply stay in the lobby for the entire round, watching a match you are not in. Fixed. The cause turned out to be two separa
The big one: shooting actually works If you ever shot a hider dead-on and nothing happened, that was real and it is fixed. The hit check used a thin line, and when your aim was fractionally off it re-tested the body at a point far down the camera line — several metres from where
What this build is This is a networking-focused test build. Last session with ~10 players fell apart: people turned invisible to each other, guns stopped working, and the connection quietly corrupted itself. We found the cause and this build is the fix. Please play it in as big a
Joining a game in progress is fixed If you joined a lobby that was already running, your game could end up blind: stuck on WAITING, no host visible, no build tools, no reticle as a hunter — for the whole session. The cause was that everything the server sent you arrived while you
Vote for as many creations as you like The end-of-match showcase no longer makes you pick just one. Every card is its own toggle — like everything you thought was good , change your mind, untoggle. If three people built something great, all three can hear about it. The build menu
Spectators get to join in Caught? You're not just watching any more. Throw things at the players still in the round. Bananas leave a peel on the ground — whoever steps on it goes down. Aim well. Splats and slips have their own sounds, so everyone knows exactly what just happened
The lobby is a real place now No more menu screen: you spawn INTO the level before the match and walk around with everyone else — build, paint, pose, taunt and chat while you wait. The controls are physical: walk up to a station to start the match, change your body (it changes on
Quick follow-up to today's big update The results screen and kill feed now show players' REAL names — you finally know who caught you. Hiders: the Forced Taunt setting now actually makes you whistle on its interval. Stay quiet at your own risk — the lobby's match settings decide
Matches, reshaped A match is now ONE round with the scores shown right away — and when it ends (or the host ends it), the whole group lands back in the lobby together. Rematch is one START away. Joining a session mid-match now takes you to the lobby properly instead of a phantom
Countdown to the hunt Starting a match now kicks off a short countdown everyone can see in the lobby — no more instant yank into the level. The host's START button becomes CANCEL during it. Cancelling keeps everybody in the lobby like nothing happened. Players joining mid-countdo
Voice chat: fixed in the lobby, moved to V Voice chat now works while you wait in the lobby room — both talking and hearing. Sorry about the silence! Push-to-talk moved from U to V . Same hold-to-talk, new key. Muting a player from the list works in the lobby too, and voice hands
