Hello everyone!
We've just pushed a quick hotfix to address some of the most critical bugs reported and tweak a few balance values. Thank you all for the fast feedback!
Balance

Permanent Gold Upgrade: Now scales multiplicatively instead of linearly, reaching up to 300% base Gold earnings at max level.
Gold Ring: Increased from +3% to +8% Gold earned per upgrade, now also scaling multiplicatively.
Base Stamina: Increased Warrior base Stamina.
Precious Treasures: Changed from +1 guaranteed item per upgrade to +20% chance for an additional item per upgrade. Values above 100% can grant multiple extra Tomes.
Forge Boost: Reduced how much each upgrade lowers the XP required to level up.
Treasure Chests: Reduced max quantity of Tomes that can be found in a common Treasure Chest.
Bug Fixes
Multiplayer

Fixed players sometimes remaining input-locked after continuing into Endless.
Fixed Crafter items becoming desynchronized for joined/reconnected players, causing crafted Bombs, Arrows, and other items to be missing or invisible.
Fixed team-wide upgrades not being restored correctly when joining or rejoining an active run.
Combat & Upgrades

Fixed Bonus Projectiles not working correctly with magic staves below 100% chance.
Fixed team-wide upgrades not displaying correctly in the inventory.
Other

Fixed controller Sprint Toggle remaining active after the player stopped moving.
Fixed the new Max Health potion being unavailable on Dungeon.

We are super excited to release our first major roadmap update!
On top of all the big core features we originally planned, we worked extremely hard to pack in as many of your requests, suggestions, and feedback as possible. Your support and reports since launch have been incredible, and they directly shape the future of Stonewards.
Here is everything new in this update:
New Features
Mercenaries

You can now hire Mercenaries in the Hub to assist you during your next run.
Mercenaries can be especially useful for solo players who want some extra help.
Weekly Leaderboard

Added a new weekly leaderboard in the Hub, with scores earned from your runs.
New Equipment

New weapons: Mace, Legendary Bow, Legendary Small Axe, Double Small Axe.
New Rings: Explosion Combat Range, Magic Range, Heal on Block, Digging Speed.
New Upgrade Tomes: Compass Range, Team Attack, Team Max Health, Precious Treasures,Forge Boost.
New End-of-Wave Reward: Mercenary Damage.
Rogue can now use dual-wield weapons.
Added new Lore Pages to discover.
Crafter

Added a new powerful healing potion to the Crafter.
Added craftable wooden direction signs that can be placed to help navigate caves.
Daily Quests

Added Daily Quests, with a new set of objectives available each day.
Daily Quests can be viewed from the Quest screen, along with the time until they refresh.
Multiplayer

You can now reconnect to an active run after disconnecting, restoring your inventory, Health, and run upgrades.
Players can now join friends or public sessions already in progress. New players joining mid-run will start at Level 1.
The Lobby Browser now shows the current location and Wave for active sessions.
Hosts can now ban players from their lobby.
Improved public lobby discovery so more available sessions can be found worldwide.
Controls & Settings

Added input remapping for keyboard/mouse and controller.
Sprinting on controller now uses toggle behavior, while keyboard/mouse sprint remains hold-to-sprint.
Added separate options to invert the vertical and horizontal look axes.
Added separate horizontal and vertical look sensitivity settings.
Visuals

Added visible character hands to weapons in first-person view.
Added an option to hide first-person character hands.
Quality of Life

You can now press Tab in the Hub to view your character’s class stats.
Healers can now see teammates’ Health above their characters.
You can now hold the craft button to quickly increase the quantity instead of clicking repeatedly.
Added notifications when players connect to or disconnect from a session.
Balance

Gold Bonus now increases the amount of Gold earned instead of increasing the chance for Gold to appear.
Removed the Difficulty Ring from the upgrade pool while we rework it.
Added a small Gold reward option when there aren’t enough available Ring upgrades to fill all upgrade choices.
Artificer bomb damage now scales with the Artificer’s Attack.
Over-100% Scaling: Values above 100% can now trigger an effect multiple times. For example, 150% guarantees the effect once and gives a 50% chance for a second activation.
Stat rebalances: For Bouncing Projectiles, Bonus Projectiles, Critical Chance, Critical Heal, and Bonus Max Health.
High-value scaling rework: They can still be pushed higher, but now have stronger diminishing returns at extreme values for Jump Height, Movement Speed, Sprint Speed, Melee Attack Speed, Ranged Attack Speed, and Digging Speed.
Knockback Chance & Dodge: Once they reach their maximum effective value, they will no longer appear as upgrade choices. If there aren’t enough valid Ring upgrades left, Gold can appear instead.
Bug Fixes

Added additional ground detection checks that should help prevent players from falling through terrain or being teleported into nearby cave rooms while mining.
Added additional physics checks when releasing Chests, which should help prevent them from clipping into terrain or being launched unexpectedly.
You can now climb a ladder with a chest.
Fixed some Dungeon props dropping Iron instead of Copper.
Items can now be dropped in the Hub.
Chest upgrades are now generated from each player’s own unlocked upgrade pool instead of the host’s.
Fixed additional projectiles spawning from an outdated firing position.
Fixed the Lore Bookcase sometimes disappearing in multiplayer.
Normally we included everything, but with everything we packed into this patch, we might have forgotten a thing or two!

Hi everyone!
We’ve just deployed Patch 0.1.8 with several Quality-of-Life improvements, anti-stall mechanics, save security upgrades, and a bunch of bug fixes.
Here is what’s new in v0.1.8:
Features & Improvements

Temporary Multiplayer Pause Between Waves: After everyone has selected their End-of-Wave upgrade, the game now stays paused until any player presses Continue. This works alongside the 60-second auto-select from the previous update, so one AFK player can’t block the run indefinitely. (This is a temporary solution for now, and we’ll keep improving multiplayer pause options in future updates.)
Anti-Stall Measures for Enemies: Added a first anti-stall measure for enemies. If combat stays at very low intensity for too long, enemies may disengage from the player and return to attacking the Wall or King. (This is only a first step, and we’ll expand on it in future updates.)
Expanded Save & Backup System: Expanded the progression backup system with up to 20 local backup saves, stored separately from Steam Cloud. If the main progression save fails to load, the game will still automatically attempt to fall back to a backup. The additional local backups should give us more recovery options if a save is lost or corrupted, including cases involving Steam Cloud. (We plan to add an in-game interface for viewing and restoring these backups in a future update.)
Bug Fixes
Combat & Enemies

Fixed an issue where enemies could continue targeting and attacking the Wall or King from across the map.
Added a minimum speed for bounced projectiles so they no longer become excessively slow after repeated rebounds.
Fixed an issue where Staff rarity did not correctly affect Healer healing and Mage damage.
Bombs

Fixed an issue where Artificer bombs could merge or become stuck together when thrown close to each other.
Fixed an issue where other classes could take Artificer bombs left on the Crafter.
Multiplayer

Fixed an exploit where hitting teammates could trigger Life on Crit healing.
Fixed an issue where dying while dancing/emoting in multiplayer could leave player input blocked after revival.
Fixed the Unstuck / Teleport Back button for dead players so it now works correctly.
Fixed an issue where a player disconnecting while being revived on a Bed could leave the Bed permanently unusable for revives.
Fixed an issue where damage numbers could fail to appear for some attacks in multiplayer.
Environment & Collision

Fixed another invisible collision/blocking issue on the Dungeon Map.
UI & QOL

Adjusted the ? room indicator so it no longer disappears before players have enough time to reach the room.
Fixed an issue where items could be moved into dedicated special slots, allowing those slots to be used incorrectly.
Added a 2-second delay before the Return to Hub button becomes clickable at the end of a run, helping prevent accidental clicks.
What's Next?
We are now full focus toward our major September update, which is currently in active development!
On top of the big main features we've already announced, we’re also exploring a broader range of community-requested improvements. If we manage to find viable technical solutions in time, we're looking into further refinements across gameplay, balance, system tweaks, and overall polish.

We still have a lot of bugs to fix and feedback to process, but we’re working hard to update the game properly. Thank you so much for all your reports, they help and motivate us immensely!
This patch brings another round of fixes, balance tweaks, brand-new weaponry, and a 60-second timer for multiplayer upgrade selections.
Here are the patch notes:
Quality of Life & New Content

Added a 60-second timer to multiplayer upgrade selections, with auto-select when time runs out.
Added new playable Crossbows!
Balance

Rebalanced Gold earned from digging. Digging should now reward noticeably more Gold and feel fairer compared to combat. (We will keep tuning it as we go!)
Rebalanced the following Rings:

Jump Height: Reduced the amount gained per upgrade.
Knockback Chance: Reduced the amount gained per upgrade.
Life Steal: Reduced the amount gained per upgrade.
Companion Damage: Increased the amount gained per upgrade.
Enemy Item Drop Chance: Reduced the amount gained per upgrade.
Movement Speed: Increased the amount gained per upgrade.
Sprint Speed: Reduced the amount gained per upgrade.
Improved the Hunter and their Companion:

The Companion now moves faster and can travel farther.
Increased the Companion's health and slightly increased its damage.
Poison and Fire damage now scale with the player’s attack damage. Reduced Poison duration to compensate for the increased damage.
Artificer bombs can now roll for Gold Coin drops on each block destroyed, instead of being limited to one coin per explosion.
Bug Fixes
Environment & Collision

Reworked collision across the Dungeon Map, fixing invisible projectile blockers, oversized prop and rampart colliders, and walls that did not properly block projectiles.
Fixed incorrect blocking zones on the Bastion battlefield.
Fixed an issue where enemies could clip into dead bushes.
Gameplay

Fixed an issue where Chests could be duplicated when given to the Chest Opener NPC.
Recycling items in the Dungeon now grants the correct resources.
Fixed an issue where Status Effect upgrades could not appear for some classes.
Fixed a softlock that could occur when the player died just before the King defeated the boss.
Resources dropped by Artificer bombs should no longer spawn inside terrain geometry.
UI

Fixed an issue where controller input could bypass requirements and unlock purchasable items.
Fixed an issue where players could continue moving while the Pause Menu was open after Map Selection.
Classes & Abilities

Hunter’s Companion can now be healed at the Fireplace with the Fireplace upgrade.
Hunter’s Companion can now be healed by the Healer.
Improved the collision area of the Healer’s healing projectile and the Mage’s Fireball, making hits more reliable.
Healing projectiles now deal a small AOE effect on impact. This fixes edge cases where a player might not be healed upon impact and allows Healers to shoot at their feet to heal themselves! 👀

Updated the Character Screen to show the missions required to unlock each character.
Balance

Reworked Endless Mode difficulty scaling to use a non-linear progression.
Slightly reduced the Archer’s ranged attack damage and charged attack damage.
Added Projectile Bonus upgrade support for the Mage and Healer.
Bug Fixes
Missions

Fixed an issue where collectible missions could fail to progress correctly, affecting Pet and Lore Page collection.
Gameplay

Fixed a resource duplication issue that could occur when throwing Artificer bombs at a specific distance from terrain.
Fixed an issue where player velocity was not reset on death, which could cause players to be launched into the air after being revived.
Fixed an issue where player input could become blocked during End-of-Wave or regular upgrade selections.
Environment

Reduced the hearing distance of Pet sounds so they no longer carry from excessively far away.
Removed colliders from terrain bushes that could incorrectly interact with and stop arrows.
Reduced the intensity of the white terrain layer on Map 2 to make it easier on the eyes.

Fixed an issue where some missions could be progressed or completed in the Hub, including headshot and player-death missions.
Fixed an issue where the Toggler would not unlock immediately after completing its requirement and could require restarting the game.
Fixed an issue where blocks destroyed by Artificer bombs were not counted toward missions or the end-of-run recap.
Input

Fixed an issue related to the Steam Overlay that could cause menus to scroll continuously without player input.
Fixed an issue where players could continue depositing resources into the Blacksmith or Wall Builder from any distance by holding the interact button.
Map & Interactions

Added missing out-of-bounds protection to parts of the Dungeon map.
Fixed an issue where dead players or companions could keep gates open.

Features

Added a new optional setting to reduce the game's low-resolution effect, which may help players experiencing motion sickness.
Added more detailed descriptions for Rings and Tomes in the shop, making their effects clearer before purchasing them.
Visuals

Reduced the brightness of hit effects when damaging enemies.
Balance

Rebalanced Gold Coin missions.
Increased the Attack and Health of the Hunter's Companion.
Bug Fixes
Resources & Mining

Fixed an issue where Platinum Ore was missing its icon, causing errors that prevented it from being picked up or used.
Fixed an issue where some props on Map 2 could drop Map 1 Stone instead of the correct resource.
Fixed an issue where Artificer bombs could destroy resource veins without dropping all expected resources.
Multiplayer: Fixed an issue that could cause digging textures to appear differently between players.
Combat

Improved projectile collision detection against enemies.
Fixed an issue where blocking while holding a charged magic attack could cause the charge effect to remain stuck.

We’ve just deployed a new update for Stonewards! This patch brings a fresh round of fixes and improvements, with a heavy focus on multiplayer progression and combat issues. We're continuously working to refine and polish the game based on your feedback.

Bug Fixes & Improvements
Multiplayer

Fixed an issue where progression was only awarded to the host in multiplayer sessions. Map unlocks are now correctly shared.
Character unlocks are now correctly shared.
Mission progression is now correctly tracked for connected players.
Fixed an issue where players who had not yet unlocked Infinite Mode could become stuck on the end-of-run screen when the host continued into Infinite Mode.
Fixed an issue where a client's current health could exceed their updated maximum health, causing the health bar to overflow.
Combat

Fixed an issue where enemies could get stuck near the cave and stop properly attacking players or the King.
Fixed an issue where Archers near the stairs could enter a state where they could neither hit players nor be hit by projectiles.
Fixed Trebuchet projectiles sometimes failing to explode when hitting the ground.
Fixed Slow and Fireball spells failing to collide correctly when hitting the ground.
Balance

Reworked Ring rarity scaling so higher-rarity Rings provide stronger effects.
Swapped the rewards for the 10 Missions Completed and 30 Missions Completed milestones, which had been accidentally inverted.
Adjusted the cost of additional slots.
Other

Fixed an incorrect resource requirement for the Parchment on Map 2.
Reworked several collision areas on Map 1 to prevent players from getting stuck or clipping outside the intended playable area.
Fixed various minor bugs and errors.

Gameplay & Rewards

Overhauled the chest rarity system.
Hub & UI

Added a player count display in the Hub.
Added previously missing localization text.
Added missing animations to some UI buttons.
Fixed an issue causing info bubbles to render off-screen.
Bug Fixes & Stability

Fixed an issue where NPCs could slide outside their designated areas.
Implemented various other minor bug fixes.
Important Version Notes

Hello everyone! We just released a new update for the Stonewards demo. Thank you to everyone who reported issues and shared feedback with us! This update focuses on fixing progression issues, improving solo play, and addressing several bugs and crashes reported by the community.

This update focuses on fixing progression issues, improving solo play, and addressing several bugs and crashes reported by the community.
Missions & Progression

Added a fix to restore previously earned missions that were lost when updating to versions 0.1.6 and 0.1.7.
Added new missions to earn more coins.
Gameplay Fixes

Time is now frozen again during a run when playing solo.
Fixed a bug where charging an attack could get stuck.
Added a collider to prevent players from digging under the ladder.
Items & Environment

Fixed a bug where items could fall through the ground when dropped on top of the castle walls.
Fixed an issue where items could get stuck on the player revival rug.
Bug Fixes & Stability

Fixed various crashes, bugs, and errors.
Important Version Notes

Matchmaking: You must be on the exact same version as your friends to play together!
Not seeing the update? If you do not see v0.1.8 in the bottom right corner of your screen, please restart Steam to force the download.
We are continuing to fix bugs and improve the demo with each upcoming update.

Hello everyone!
We just released a new update for the Stonewards demo. Thank you to everyone who reported issues and shared feedback with us!
We are continuing to fix bugs and improve the demo with each upcoming update.
New Hub & Multiplayer Flow

Added a new player Hub area.
The Hub is now the main place where players gather between runs.
Players can now use the Hub to prepare, change characters, select missions, choose levels, and visit the shop.
This new Hub is the first step toward a place where players can get ready, relax, and hang out before heading out to help a Bastion defend itself.
Missions & Rewards

Reworked the global mission system.
Missions can now appear in the mission list without being directly linked to an unlockable.
Added an end-of-run mission summary screen.
Completed missions are now claimed automatically.
Added in-game notifications when a mission is completed.
Added mission rewards, including meta currency and unlockable content.
Items & Gameplay Balance

Added item info support for rings and relics.
All items can now be added to slots.
Fixed TPS camera issues in the mines.
Improved weapon rarity drops based on cave distance.
Increased archer arrow stacks to 99 arrows per slot.
Reworked stamina drain speed.
Reworked stamina recovery speed.
Improved campfire healing.
Bug Fixes

Fixed duplicated chests.
Fixed a sound bug when clicking Continue in the pause menu.
Fixed a brief frame of gameplay appearing before the character selection menu initialized.
Fixed a DX12 crash.

We just pushed a small update to the Stonewards demo to clean up a few bugs and audio issues. Thank you to everyone who reported these!

Patch Notes (v0.1.5) :
Fixed a broken material on the Fire Sword.
Fixed an audio bug that caused healing sounds to play excessively.
Fixed an audio bug where the Crafter sound would loop and play multiple times simultaneously.
Fixed an issue preventing the mission to reach 400 HP from being completed.
Implemented various other bug fixes.
Patch Notes (v0.1.4):
Reworked the Craft Speed upgrade to reduce crafting time by a percentage rather than a flat amount.
Reworked the Craft Speed upgrade to now function as a multiplier.
Added missing localization text.
Fixed a bug that permanently blocked player attacks if the player defended while charging an attack.
Reworked the Armor upgrade so it no longer allows you to take 0 damage.
Implemented various other bug fixes.
