Alright! That's it for SLOP FIGHTER for now. This is a significantly large update because I've once again swapped the LLM that was running the game. This is a good thing. We're now using Gemma4 E2B QAT version, which is half the size of E2B standard and just as capable. It feels
I wanted this update to cover more than a few small fixes, because most of what I'm dealing with grammatically right now are small edge cases. I'm aware it's a little bit of a download in order to receive a full update. Firstly, I've updated the about/credits page. I'm still not
Good news, I have improved narration quality significantly across the board. Besides adding a bit of movement and energy to the prepositional phrases by shifting their positions in the sentences and converting some to participial (an old trick), I have done something I probably s
On the narration side I have reduced the frequency of certain words appearing, like channeling, which wasn't accurate for enough contexts. I've also addressed some confusion with body parts, so one body part won't feed incomprehensibly into another body part. There was a sentence
I noticed the movement narration was messy so I cleaned it up a bit. Not all mammals swim, so now creatures like EARTH leopards won't use the word inappropriately.
Fixed some dangling participles (not comma splices, as I initially thought) Refined some TECH vocabulary Updated README to explain that new CPU rosters are created daily
I have improved the vocabulary specifically for SHAD, EARTH, and WATER types, who have different ways of expressing their actions. Where types like FIRE and AIR are very outward-focused, other types have more passive battle styles. SHAD, for instance, shouldn't be attacking "thro
I was noticing with the recent updates to monster voicework the ability for the LLM to contextualise information was becoming stressed, so I retrained the datasets so voice guidance is built-in and not produced live. Animal traits are factored in differently now too, with varying
I have strengthened the way each eight mutation types expresses its personality. The LLM is given more information on how to speak from the perspective of its mutation. This improvement was mostly made to help the LLM conceptualise SHAD types and even further differentiate person
I have made the README more accessible from the main menu and expanded it to give hints and tricks for working with the language-based game engine. I have included a list of keywords which trigger special attacks. Using those words for CUSTOM COMMANDS will produce unique results
This improvement ties one thread I've been unsure was able to be tied. Now, animal body parts and biological traits are better contextualised for the LLM's understanding. This means they can, and will, narrate the way they use themselves more effectively. A monster with camouflag
Fixed a crash which was triggered by commands that interfered with the way Steam runs the game
