Iune spent hours navigating the Aleph flow. As the Anhauarii, she could visit remote times and places, periods and stories not even known that anyone would find fascinating. But she’s not just anyone. Unlike other Weavers, Iune never stopped to observe anything in particular. No. She simply wandered through time, letting the voices of the past, present and future –the Distant Ones, as she called them– combine and become pure noise. Anyone would have called her reckless. Playing with Aleph this way was dangerous. But Iune never cared too much about the unwritten rules of the Weavers. In the end, they were all hermits and lived alone. Who was going to tell her what she could or could not do?
One day she decided to go further. Navigating where no one had gone before. Iune let the flow drift her without a course, but always in the same direction. The voices of the Distant Ones became echoes, and then whispers. Until they could no longer be heard.[[CR]]With no sounds to guide her, Iune decided to look. Nothing. She was in the most absolute darkness. She wasn’t even able to feel time. It was like... she didn’t exist.
And then it happened.
- Iune…
The Weaver jumped.
- Who are you?

Humans have all learned to use the Aleph in certain basic aspects:
- Exposure to the Aleph provides greater resistance, physical strength and, in some cases, the development of special skills or the strengthening of existing ones. Because of that, the elite soldiers carry small containers of Aleph that enable them to fight for hours without becoming fatigued at all.
- The enormous energy potential of the Aleph also serves to improve the performance of the nuclear fuel of some of the vehicles and facilities. The Aleph is even used as a plasma substitute in large-caliber weapons.
The locals can't do much to expel the humans from their dying planet. They left their aggressive traits behind thousands of years ago and, despite their vast knowledge of the Aleph, they never used it to defend themselves or to attack. Only a few, led by Harec, resist the invader precariously.
They lack resources and must steal everything they need from the different human factions, which are usually busy fighting among themselves. Harec trusts that he can inspire his countrymen by example, but the truth is that the conditions in which they fight are highly precarious and the possibility that they are all killed is very high. He and his men hide in a sub-orbital fragment of the Broken Planet. The situation does not look good and doesn't seem like it will improve.
Harec has a plan and a list of names: They are unique human warriors, legendary mercenaries who came to the Broken Planet to make their fortune, but who now might have reasons to change sides and fight with him. All Harec has to do is find them and convince them to join him.

When he awoke, Me'er descended in silence into the uncharted depths of the temple. Something inside him guided him. Hours later, Me'er stopped in front of a giant bas-relief carved on the wall. In the middle, a disturbing organic figure extended its tentacles left and right, with scenes of the ancient ones’ daily life. At first glance, it seemed that each scene had an almost perfect reflection on the other side. Me'er wanted to look at one of the scenes more closely, and that was when he saw a dark Figure lumbering towards him.
The Figure stopped very close to him and stood level with his head, making a vaguely anthropomorphic form. Me'er was not afraid and he felt that the creature was trying to communicate with him. A familiar voice seemed to come from the being: "Give me your hands, I need to see your memories." Me'er obeyed and as soon as his hands touched The Figure, it pounced on Me'er like a powerful boa constrictor. Me'er closed his eyes involuntarily, but he could still see his entire life in an instant. Memories, experiences and feelings welled up from the very depths of his being... And a second later, nothing. The Figure had let him go and returned to its place. The entire process lasted no more than a second. Me'er opened his eyes and saw The Figure take on a human form... Me'er feel to his knees on the floor when he saw who it was.
It was his son standing before him. Me'er jumped up and hugged him tightly. It was like waking up from a horrible nightmare; an instant of intense, overwhelming happiness at once again touching and smelling someone who had gone forever. Me'er let himself go and lost all sense of time. But the whirlwind of emotions began to fade, giving way to reason and his senses. A few moments later, a shiver ran through Me'er's body as he realized that his son had not hugged him back... Me'er took a step back; the boy wasn’t even looking at him. Then something shone on the mural. A strange light flowed from inside the stone and slid through the bas-reliefs, showing details that had been hidden before. The boy shifted his dead stare towards the mural; Me'er did the same and stifled a shout of horror when he realized what it really showed.
Now Me'er clearly saw what he only sensed before in the semi-darkness of the temple. The scenes shown on the left of the mural were repeated on the right. But if on one side a figure was plowing a field, on the other it was mutilating the animal. If a figure looked to be caring for a beggar, on the other side it disemboweled them... Stunned, Me'er looked at his son who, for the first time, looked back and spoke to him in his own voice: "Don’t worry, Dad, close your eyes..." The boy repeated the phrase while his arms, which had turned into tentacles, stretched out and slithered towards his father. Me'er didn't care anymore. There was nothing left for him in this life. The dark Figure had returned his son's voice to him for an instant, and when one of the tentacles pierced his heart, Me'er wasn't really there anymore.

Me'er-Yaak entered the ruins of the forgotten city of Uras-Is'Ku. Despite having happened long ago, he could still smell the blood, gunpowder and fuel that the cruel attack of the Hades Division had left in the air. With Harec missing and all the others dead, Me'er was still in shock, unable to see anything but the body of his only son, riddled with bullets, in his arms. All that Me'er wanted out of life now was to hear the voice of his child again. On the Broken Planet, in the ancient city of Uras-Is'Ku, that was possible... Me'er remained completely silent for months in the cathedral of Uras-Is'Ku. That was the only way he would hear the voices of those who had passed, as told in the Nihtü-niyo Scriptures. Some people heard those voices in their dreams just once or twice a lifetime. But Nihtü training granted the ability to feel the Aleph while awake and perceive all of its dimensions, especially time, where the souls and voices of beings that have existed travel. Me'er wanted only to hear the voice of his lost son, to feel his presence again. He never thought the Aleph could bring him other voices. Following years of solitude and ascetic discipline, Me'er was able to hear hundreds of voices in the Aleph flow. "Ah, the whispers! They're shouting at me!", a young woman exclaimed somewhere in space and time. "My lord, it's time...", uttered a deep voice from another time... Trying to find the only voice that mattered to him, Me'er turned his thoughts to the place where his son died under the fire of the Hades Division. The voices immediately turned to screams and the screams hurt like spears, tearing at the tortured mind of Me'er until he fell unconscious. Then a single voice spoke to him: "I know what you seek. I know how to get it. Come and my apprentice will show you"...
