You can learn a lot about someone from their favorite Final Fantasy games, and there are certainly those that get the bulk of the attention from the wider audience. But then there are those that don't always get the immediate shout-outs, but deserve your attention because, if the
Final Fantasy 7 has Midgar, one of the greatest locations in RPG history, or maybe videogame history in its entirety. FFX is a wonderful story, Final Fantasy 9 has that terrific opening, and I wish they'd bring back the FF5 job system. But despite all of these various highs and a
Hello there, a whole bunch of games are set to leave Playstation Plus next month. There are 25 of them, to be exact, and some pretty big names are on that list. A smorgasbord of Final Fantasy titles, for example. Though, that's not what you should be most concerned about. Monster
Final Fantasy 8 is now 25 years old, and in a recent interview, the game's director spoke about quite a big change he would make if the game received a remake. While Final Fantasy 7 Remake has proven to be pretty popular, overall, the idea of other games in the series getting the
Call me an empath, but something tells me that remaking Final Fantasy 7 as a trilogy of slick, high-budget modern games is taking its toll on poor Naoki Hamaguchi, the remake's director. In a recent chat with IGN , Hamaguchi and Final Fantasy 8 director Yoshinori Kitase were pres
The director of Final Fantasy 8 has shot down hopes that the next numbered Final Fantasy might see a remake once the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy comes to its conclusion. The reason? Simply that it’s a lot of damn work. Read more
Video game music has been garnering more recognition in recent years, but despite that surge of interest there are still few series’ that garner as much attention or praise in the musical space as Final Fantasy - and now, fans have another example to demonstrate exactly why in th
It was Final Fantasy's 35th anniversary over the weekend, and a Japanese poll on what the best games are has basically officially given us the top 10. Despite the name (haha, get it, because Final Fantasy?) there are a whole lot of Final Fantasy games. There's pretty much a new o
One Off The List is our weekly list feature. Is there something you think doesn’t deserve to be on this list? Comment with your reasons why, and next week it may be struck off. Howdy pardner. Spittoon? Take it, we got a whole crate of them right here. Every god-fearing outlaw nee
Another month, another big video game publisher puts a great big dollop of video game music online for zero pennies. This time, it’s Bandai Namco, who have just uploaded every single Tekken soundtrack onto Spotify because, well, apparently everyone loves Tekken. I’ve never partak
Whenever someone asks me what my favourite Final Fantasy game is, the answer is always Final Fantasy VIII . It’s getting on a bit (20 years, in fact) but its tale of time-travelling witches, lovestruck teens, cannonball dogs and bonkers floating military schools is still, for me,
For all the decades of ha-ha-hilarious jokes about a final Final Fantasy as the numbers kept climbing higher, we hadn’t predicted that Square Enix would keep it going from the other end too with remakes and remasters aplenty. Up next is Final Fantasy VIII Remastered , a fancied-u

Square Enix are but a fading spectre of their former glory. Square Enix can tie a crate of Final Fantasy trading cards to themselves and get in the sea. Square Enix are all horrible bastards who don t understand what makes a good RPG anymore. Never again will I have to say any of
