Get ready for a new in-game toy universe EXO-CLASH!. Set in another galaxy where giant robots fight colossal monsters. Captain Hera Scarlet and Lt Leo Satomi have landed in the game complete with their own unique unlockable items, taunts, and Action Files.
There’s now even more reason to jump into Hot Lava regularly with the weekly course. Compete with others for top global positions on a new course and ability each week. Earn a reward for placing on the leaderboard then try again when it cycles to a new course each Tuesday.
Splash into summer with water balloons and more when you visit the Playground in the next few weeks. Challenge someone to a water balloon fight, or hit all the targets around the level for your chance at earning a reward. These activities will only be around during summer so hit your mark while you can!
You can enjoy all the features of this dynamic new update right now. Meanwhile, we’ll keep working on ways to make our game even hotter. So stay tuned, stay cool and stay off the floor!

During last year's Klei Fest we announced Rotwood, our 1-4 player hack-and-slash dungeon crawler. For this year we're going to be opening up a single-player combat focus test so you can check it out for yourself!
In this single-player combat focus test you will try out four different weapon types and fight through two dungeons, each populated with a unique set of Rots and a large Boss Rot at the end. As you delve into the ever-changing Rotwood, you'll also meet a handful of villagers who will support you by using the materials you've gathered to craft and upgrade sets of armor & weapons (and maybe even cook you the occasional delicious meal!)
While you will get a small glimpse of our weapon, armor, and other work-in-progress systems, this playtest is entirely focused on combat. So sign up now so you can join us next week and let us know what you think!

As seen in our last update, our Rocco’s Arcade Level is rollicking good retro-arcade fun. Well, good news, we added four - count ‘em four - new courses hidden in Roccos’ back rooms! Plus a plethora of new trials - jetpack, pogo, buddy and tiny toy. AND all new collectable cards just laying around for anyone to grab. You’ll have to explore all over this map to find it all!
With the new courses comes a host of new challenges to complete - pick up more than 30 new stars! Level up!
We’ve also added new collectable accessory sets, including G.A.T’s new K.A.P.O.W. mech armor, and a sweet VR headset and suit combo! The more you play, the more you collect, so jump back in and check out all the new stuff!
There are always plenty of daily challenges and oodles of online opponents to race against. So we’ll see you all there! Stay cool, stay safe and stay off the floor!

Hold onto your pizza slices, it’s a brand new Klei created map! Rocco’s Arcade is a hotbed of hopping set in a retro-arcade pizza place. Check out two new courses! Take on the pogo and tiny toy trials! Interact with gobs of retro-games like Flamly Ball, Zeet-ball and Thump-a-Raccoon!

Get ready for Mutant Mayhem! A whole new in-game toy universe set in a world that’s been transformed by an evil alien mutagen bomb. Rambull and Stinkbomb arrive in this update, complete with their own unique unlockable items, taunts and Action Files. Jump in and try them out! (psst - there will be more Mutant Mayhem arriving soon!)
Keep your eyes peeled for an amazing new trial we’ve sprinkled into all of the main levels. Much like the Pogo and Tiny Toy trials, entering a Jetpack trial will launch you into whole new gameplay where you zoom through a unique new area with a high-powered jet engine strapped to your back.
We have refreshed the main menu making it easier to access the choices that matter! Over time new features have been added to the main menu, with this update we took the time to reorganize it so each option is easier to find.
We’ve also thrown in some free new Night Fight camouflage skins for all your favorite G.A.T. characters. Additionally, the ever-helpful Sue will now lead you from course to course in the level overworld so you’ll never get lost finding your way to the next challenge. And we’ve added plenty of bug fixes and optimizations to improve your Hot Lava experience.

New ‘Daily Challenges’ give you even more reason to jump into Hot Lava on the regular. New rewards are up for grabs - Every. Single. Day. Complete the challenges for some fantastic daily rewards. If you get doubles, don’t fret, we’ve got an exciting new system that addresses that...
With this update we’ve given our items system a major upgrade - an amazing new feature to ‘recycle’ doubles, or items you don’t want, for tickets you can use to get gear. Instead of just winning items at the completion of level challenges, you can now earn them through this new tickets system. Some super special items will only be available this way! It’s never been easier to get the accessories you want.
Speaking of items we’ve also added a lot of new challenges to every ‘Curated by Klei’ Map so it’s even easier to pick up some new accessories. Over 99 new challenges to complete, which not only gives you more chances at in-game swag, but also means that Max Player Rank has gone up by a-lot! Jump in to outrank your friends before they beat you to it!
As if all that wasn’t enough, we’ve also added a brand new, Klei-curated Community Map ‘Journey’! Travel through 6 different locations from City to Farm, Harbor to Forest, all with their own unique challenges. Explore these all new Levels and pick up some new items along the way.
