Take on the role of a spaceship captain. Lead your crew across the galaxy, where the ultimate goal is up to you. Fight for peace or piracy as you explore new worlds, improve your ship, recruit crew members and engage in intense ship-to-ship battles.
Space Rogue combines strategy, tactics and adventure in a game that gives you complete freedom to explore the galaxy and choose your own goals. In Sandbox Mode, you even have the ability to fine-tune various game parameters (enemy strength, random event frequency, weapon power,etc).
Keep cannons at the ready! Nearly all the random events have several different outcomes.
OTHER FEATURES:

Every playthrough is different from the last — the entire world is generated, from scratch, each time you start a new game

6 races with distinct features and battle tactics

Fast and exciting space battles

More than 200 random events and quests (and that's just the beginning!)

"Buy all tritanium" button – now you can buy all tritanium ore at the stations in just one click;

Today is the day of the promised Release 1.1 update. A few great new features and a lot of tweaks and fixes according to your feedback are waiting for you.
Captain's Perks
Captain's perks give permanent passive bonuses. We designed them to support various in-game tactics and playstyles.
For example, you can choose "Sergeant Ripper" perk, if you like boarding enemy ships. This perk gives a special mordren warrior for your team and increases damage dealt by your crew.
If missiles are your weapon of choice, consider "Missile engineer" perk to drastically increase missile effectiveness.
Want an easy start? Became "Favorite" and your high-society connections will provide several benefits. Like additional credits and tritanium at the start of the game.
Perks unlock in small packs as you level up your captain's profile (expect two-three perks per each unlock).
To activate a perk, you must put it into an active perk slot before starting a new game. At first, you gain access for one perk slot only. You may unlock additional slot later and even further customize you in-game experience.
Perks unlock a little bit further in the game.
New Playable Ship
If you have to do some serious stuff, those defective meatbags as chax, humans or oaklana are not suitable for this kind of work. Take command of a team of cool-headed and ruthless robots on the innovatively designed ship.
The ship is available after reaching level 11.
Balance tweaks and technical improvements
According to your feedback, we made the game more balanced and comfortable.

New captain's order: "Block the bay"
Now there's a chance of 2 space stations in a sector;
Now you can't receive damage during mining;
Other numerous balance tweaks;
Fixed a lot of bugs that caused crashes and other problems.

Just to remind you how much Space Rogue has been changed since the start of Early Access, there is a short list of cool features have been added to the game with more than 10 key updates:

Global progression system — unlock new ships, missions, and other possibilities

New ships — different vessels set up for different playstyles

New stories — 4 different main missions where you can decide the fate of the galaxy

Dynamic events — the galaxy is full of spaceships and monsters, floating or hunting luckless strangers

Space news — global temporary events affecting the whole gameplay

Terrible Magnapods and Crystallids — new types of enemies, unique battle gameplay for the genre

Plenty of new weapons, cartridges, and drones to make the most powerful spaceship in the Universe

...a lot of other features and changes
Of course, the story of Space Rogue doesn't stop. We're already working on the next content update. It will bring to the game brand-new captain's perks system and other features, changes and fixes. The update will be available in a few weeks for free.
If you like the game, please, left your feedback on Steam. We read all reviews and improve Space Rogue according to your requests.
Also, the 1.45 hotfix is live. Here are the quick patch notes:

"Random game" – if you want to play Space Rogue immediately without horsing around the sandbox setting, just choose this option. It will create a completely random galaxy. "Random game" replaced always default "Quick game";

Fixed a lot of major bugs and problems.
