I was renting a small office desk in Stockholm at the time, me and five other people crammed together on 25 square meters on two floors. Nowadays I think it's a science fiction bookstore. Anyway, I was mostly alone in that office, the others had steady jobs, freelancing on the side. I'd been sitting there 6 days a week, 12 hours a day for two and a half years by now. I'd learnt Unity and built a game at the same time, and now I'd just pressed the green button on Steam. Almost immediately I got a message from someone, telling me he was unable to pick up the very first item, basically breaking the game after the first 30 seconds of playing. I buried my face and broke down in the tiny wooden stairs we had leading up to the second floor. So much work, so much pressure and built up impostor syndrome, I've never had that feeling of melting brain before. After a while I managed to pick up what was left of my head and check the game myself, and of course I was able to pick it up, and so were apparently some other people too, because I'd started to receive some reviews.
It took me on some adventures this game, going to the TIGA awards, receiving reviews and articles, juggling a simultaneous port and release to XBOX One and PS4, and finally getting to create Sylvio: Black Waters with Dread XP.
I'm not going to write long, what I really just wanted to say is thank you for playing, and thank you to you all for the encouragement and interest you've shown along the way.
Stroboskop has a couple of different projects in the pipeline, and stuff will be revealed when the time is right. In the meantime, have a great day / night / whatever you're having.
