New Cosmetics
To supply you with new cosmetics, we are introducing the Paw Pass! Every month, the pass includes themed skins, hats, emotes, and cosmetic/emote chests with up to legendary rarity. This month's theme is Circus! There is also a paid version of the pass to support further development for upcoming features and improvements (there is a lot planned!). It includes more cosmetics, chests and emotes. The pass also drops Bongo Coins in both lanes, free and premium, 100 coins per lane. These coins can be used later to buy the premium version of the pass for 500 coins or cosmetics from the supporter items, so that you can earn it for free as well. You can also gift the pass ticket to friends by using Steam's trading feature
How to get the rewards
You can earn the Paw Pass rewards by just playing the game as you always do and reaching its milestones. When claiming a reward, no taps are consumed. The Paw Pass is not like any other pass, as the rewards are claimable forever and do not have a deadline. To automatically claim your free pass ticket, open Bongo Cat at least once a month.
Starting to play Bongo Cat after multiple passes have already been released is also not an issue, as you can always get a Paw Pass Ticket to unlock past passes.
The Pass can be accessed through the ticket button at the bottom of the inventory. To unlock any premium track, click on “Get Pass”, get the Paw Pass Ticket in the Steam Store and then redeem it in-game by clicking “Get Pass” again. 🎟️
If you’re not connected to the internet, you will not be able to redeem Paw Pass rewards, but your tap progress will still count towards the pass.
Events
Events like the summer event, lunar new year, april fools or the winter event will still happen. The pass (free and premium) will then also drop event chests to make collecting those easier :)
Other improvements:
added a search bar to the Bongo Dex :o
added a filtering and sorting window to the inventory (funnel icon)
added a tutorial
separated the settings into more structured sections
added a unique rarity. These items are not droppable and are claimed through special events like the advent calendar.
added an emote speed slider (multiplayer settings)
added a “sync bobbing” option (settings > performance)
clicking your own cat can be fine tuned, you can now turn off emotes, the patting itself and the “Meow Meow”
supporter items are now marked as checked instead of vanishing
option to not automatically rejoin a lobby on start-up (multiplayer settings)
longer shortcut list (settings > other)

You can access via the Multiplayer tab using the “Spawn Settings” button.
Use 1 of 8 patterns to automatically align your friends' cats
Every pattern has an anchor that defines where it starts
Cat slots can be disabled so that certain screen regions can be kept free (click on a preview cat to enable/disable a slot)
Rotate all cats at once
Swap two cats by dragging one onto another
Snap Cats lets your cats snap into the pattern-defined slots
The “Recalculate” button lets you re-evaluate the layout instantly. All cats you placed outside of the pattern will remain in their positions
Use F6 when in a lobby to show a preview of all current slots
And some more pattern-specific settings!
Quality of life:
Open and close your inventory with Esc, M (Bongo Cat needs focus) or the middle mouse button (while hovering over your cat)
Patting can be turned off (Settings > Interaction > Pat Cats)
much shorter white flash on startup (we tried everything, looks like we cant fix this fully :< )
Translucent On Hover is back (Settings > Interaction > Translucent On Hover)
Bug fixes:
Fixed inventory sometimes not refreshing correctly
Fixed randomly resetting emote wheel
Fixed “Multiplayer Popup” setting where players couldn’t be gifted when the setting was turned off
Fixed BongoDex hiding items from a fully hidden collection even though you have some of that collection
Holding Enter doesn’t spam the chat anymore
Fixed tooltips staying on screen although the menu was closed

I’ll have a look at some performance improvements next. And there is an even bigger update in the making :)

We also added some requested features:
Added feedback to opening chests for others, so you know whom to thank <3
You can open up your friend’s emote chests now (it costs you 1000 clicks, for your friend it's free; both must update their game)
With the new Cat Randomizer, you can manually randomize your cosmetics! (inventory → dice button)
When hovering over other cats, their names are now shown without the need of focusing Bongo Cat first
Brought back emotes to singleplayer (sorry on that note)
Many bug fixes (thanks to all the bug hunters <3)
Quality of life:
Rotate and flip you friends with the buttons R and F when hovering over them
Right clicking other cats makes them transparent for a short time (clicking on their label shows the options to flip/rotate/scale)
Moved the presets into their own little window, so your inventory is kept clean (inventory → cat with hat icon)
Moved the inventory settings to be accessible from the inventory (inventory → settings icon)
Don’t forget to update your game!

Patch notes:

Right clicking the cat makes it translucent for a few seconds so you can interact with things behind it
We had to disable the incentivized rewards (f.e. collab with Nightwater or the wishlist ones) and moved them to owning the full game or removed them entirely, because it was against Steam Guidelines to incentivize this, sorry for that.

First things first, because i know a lot of people are waiting: THERE WILL BE A LIMITED SUMMER EVENT SOON! Because of sickness this will take a bit longer.

I now use another library that helps us/me to write WAAAAY less code for all the stuff. This took quite some time, so sorry for the long wait. But it should make everything a bit easier to implement in the future

Linux update will be out soon (for X11). Wayland will take more time.

STUNTBOOST is a fast paced fingerboarding game if you are looking for some arcady fun!
Mothkeep is a cute moth documenting game if you are looking for some cozy nature adventure
Moldrise is a crazy horror game ... honestly its tricky to describe. Just play it! (graphical warning!!)
To grab their exclusive items you need to check their demos out for 5min, just take a look if you like it.
(Sometimes it needs a bit until you get the items, close the other game (so Steam syncs your playtime) and wait a few minutes sometimes starting a Demo the second time can also help <3)
The demos and items will be available until Friday 12th of June. After that you can't get them anymore.

I will respect the 27% and for them there won't be another community poll shown (until they enable it again in the settings). But overall i really appreciate all your feedback on this.
And yes it was ugly :D it was me bashing the assets together and not let Lars (who did the UI) do another pass here haha.
Additional Patch notes:
Added a language filter!! (shame on all of the bad kitties out there, i thought i didn't have to do this)
Various fixes regarding the AFK timer + chat
You can now disable the Discord integration (sorry :D i thought Discord respects your settings)
Future Patch:
Small info here: Iris and me, will try to get a small UI update out soon. We will try to make everything a bit more usable and not that cluttered. There was also an amazing idea in the Discord from "Manoni". They suggested a lovely idea how the new collection could look like! <3 Thank you!
We also set up a PC in our office with Linux, we are on it. But it takes time especially with all the different sub-OS.

I found a way to "enable" (aka me creating all the prices haha) regional pricing for all the items in the supporter shop:

This means you should either see the same price (for EUR/USD) or a significant decrease in price for some regions. This is something we already do with our own games but never found a way to do for the item shop in Steam. Now i found a possible solution.
Bear in mind please if there is ANY mistake that you see, i will open up a thread for you to report these issues. Because of how the calculation works it might be that i miscalculated something and it now costs 100x more (i really hope it doesn't, but i found no way to check it myself). So please report any issues with it here:

Experimental Mac Support
I know a lot of you want to play with your friends (that are on Mac or Linux). With this update we will launch an experimental mac build that you can try out. Iris did some amazing work here, so thanks to her!
For all the Linux users: i'm on it. We are preparing a PC in our office so we can actively develop on it and test with it. I hope to get something ready soon <3

Additionally Iris got some nice quality of life changes in the game:
You can ROTATE your cat!! (with R while focused or in the settings)
Slider to change how many items per row get displayed (we will add an option to disable this slider with the next update)
Event collections without any item in it will be hidden from now on, to reduce the amount of items displayed in the collection tab

Cosmetic Preview
You can now preview cosmetics before getting them. Just head over to the collection where you can click on cosmetics to showcase them on your cat.
Private Lobbies
A lot of you requested this, you can now set your lobbies to private which means invite only via Steam.
Two new supporter items
We also added two new supporter items, Yin and Yang that you can grab here:

We will now run a limited event to celebrate Winter and Christmas for the next 4 weeks (until the 31st of December).
During this time you can drop 20 exclusive winter items! For this event, I moved many items to lower rarity tiers so that you will see a wider variety of items! I'm still not entirely satisfied with this solution, but it's only a temporary measure while I think about future events.
After December 31st the items will no longer be dropable.
So exchange, exchange, exchange and open your chests!
Advent Calendar & Deluxe Calendar 🎅🎅🎅
To get you in the Christmas spirit, we've added a free Advent calendar. From December 1st to December 25th, you can open a door every day (at 8am GMT) to get your hands on an exclusive item!
The calendar will be available until December 31st, which means you can also open doors from the past. So don't worry if you don't have time on a particular day.
In addition, we will be releasing another calendar (which will replace the supporter bundle in this event). It contains a whopping 25 premium items!
If you purchase the Deluxe Calendar (until December 31st), you can still receive your rewards even after the event ends, so nothing will be lost!
We don't want to give too much away, but here's a sneak peek at some of the items you can expect:
