Hello everyone, it's been a while.
Thanks to your incredible support, Fishing The Abyss has been purchased and reviewed by many players. As my first release as a solo developer, this experience has been full of learning and growth for me.
I truly appreciate all the feedback you've provided.
(And of course, I’ll always be happy to receive more reviews in the future.)
As a token of my gratitude, I'm pleased to announce the release of a free downloadable content, Fishing The Abyss AQUARIUM.

This DLC was created both to fulfill requests from players who wanted to view the entire bodies of the creatures, and to express my appreciation to those who continue playing far longer than I ever anticipated.
Fishing The Abyss AQUARIUM is a standalone DLC that launches independently from the main game.
Note: Launching it together with the main game requires a few additional steps. Please refer to the bottom section of the DLC’s store page for details.
To display the full bodies of the creatures, it was necessary to use a 16:9 screen ratio.
Making it a standalone DLC allowed me to implement this feature, although it might feel quite different from the main game and cause some confusion at first.
For more details, please check the store page or simply try it out—it’s free to download and enjoy. Key features include:
A gallery mode that allows you to carefully observe each creature’s full body
Integration with your save data: record and store the sizes of the creatures you've caught
Register saved creatures in an aquarium and enjoy watching them swim
Feed your favorite creatures to make them larger—or smaller, if you prefer

If you’re a player with a large collection of catches, I hope you'll enjoy crafting your own personalized aquarium.
For new players, combining this DLC with the main game from the start might offer a fresh and enjoyable experience.
Alongside the DLC release, the main game has also been updated to version 1.4.1.
This update mainly includes support for the new DLC and some bug fixes:
Fixes:
When the music window was open, the loop toggle button overlapped with the rain control button, causing frequent misclicks. This has been fixed by disabling rain controls while the music window is open.
Fixed an issue where both loop and random playback could be activated simultaneously upon loading a save file.
There are still some music-related issues that have been reported, but I’ve been unable to reproduce them in the development environment. As such, they are not fixed in this update.
I also wanted to implement cloud saving, as requested by many of you.
However, during testing, I found a critical risk: if the initial sync occurs in a version with cloud saving enabled, it may overwrite local save data with an empty cloud state—essentially wiping existing saves.
While there are workarounds, the potential for irreversible data loss was too great if anything went wrong, so I’ve decided to withhold this feature.
If I release another title in the future, I plan to support cloud saving from the beginning. But for Fishing The Abyss, cloud saving will not be implemented.
I sincerely apologize for this decision and ask for your understanding.
Thank you again for your continued support of Fishing The Abyss and the brand new DLC, Fishing The Abyss AQUARIUM.
