ver 1.3.0 Beta Update

This update introduces a critical data protection system for save data, so we have decided to release it as a Beta version, separate from the official update.

Update Details

・Implemented a system to detect data corruption caused by interruptions during save data writing and automatically recover from backup data.

With this feature, the folder icon previously displayed on the title screen has been removed. In the unlikely event of save data corruption, players will no longer need to manually restore save data from a backup.

・The reset button in the settings screen now resets the window scale and height to their minimum values, moves the window to the zero position (top-left corner) of the display, and initializes it.

This adjustment addresses an issue where players with low-resolution displays could not adjust the vertical height of the window, providing a solution for such cases.

・Added a time limit to the popup confirmation for transitioning to the ending replay after clearing the game.

This update improves a situation where players had to interact with the ending replay popup unnecessarily if they did not adjust depth after clearing the game. A countdown of approximately five seconds will appear in the popup, after which it will close automatically, and players will return to fishing. If you wish to view the ending replay, please press the OK button during the countdown.

・The game now performs an achievement unlock check every time you load a game if the conditions for unlocking achievements are met.

This is an enhancement of a previous update. While most achievements were addressed, some remained unhandled. This version ensures all achievements are covered.

Updates automatically applied separately from ver 1.3.0 Beta

Corrected the wording for hidden conditions of some achievements.

How to Update to the Beta Version

Note: The Beta version is a test build that may contain potential bugs due to major updates. Although internal testing has been conducted, please refrain from updating if you are concerned about encountering issues.

1. In your Steam library, right-click on the "Fishing The Abyss" title to display the pop-up menu. 2. Open the "Properties" menu. 3. Select the "Beta" tab, then choose "beta - Beta version build" from the drop-down menu under "Opt into Beta," and close the window. 4. The update will be applied automatically (if it does not proceed automatically, please press the Update button manually). Confirm that "[beta]" has been added to the title name to complete the process.

If you want to revert from the Beta version to the official version, follow step 3 and select "None" instead of Beta.

Note: Automatic translation may result in slight differences in wording from the original text.
