New "Survival" game mode available when starting a new game, I will keep releasing new updates for this new game mode throughout 2026.
This new game mode will be more demanding for the player, the weather and time of day will greatly affect your calories consumption and energy levels. If your available energy reaches a critical state you will pass out and a heavy resources penalty will be applied, the same applies if anybody on your gaming session (coop) passes out. A lot of systems were rebalanced for this new game mode (without affecting the normal game mode) and I will keep calibrating them based on feedback. Below you will find the changelog, most of these changes only apply to the new survival game mode.

-Player 2/3/4 locations and individual resources are now successfully saved when the host sleeps.
-Solar panels will sometimes need fixing.
-Increased player calorie spending.
-Increased dogs calorie spending.
-The player reaching a 0 nutritional value will trigger a crisis that will cost half of your most valuable resources.
-Being in the elevated terrain will affect calorie spending.
-Being out at night will affect calorie spending.
-Placing a fire place with the misc builder will relieve you from the cold.
-The fire place has no extra cost now.
-Increased ammount of energy the player spends when running.
-Adjusted player movement speed loss from low energy levels.
-Added slight vision issues when player's energy is low.
-The weather changes at night.
-The player can now eat raw fish.
-Fishing spots will be usable every couple of days.
-Fishing spots number of tries left are now synched in coop.
-Adjusted ammount of fish that fishing spots yield.
-Adjusted how much energy raw and cooked fish will restore to the dogs.
-Falling into water with your dogs will affect your nutrition.
-Falling into water with your dogs will affect their nutrition.
-Limited ammount of water that the player can consume per day.
-Limited ammount of water that you can give to your dogs.
-Adjusted how much energy giving water to your dogs restore.
-Adjusted crop production in some plants.
-Decreased the ammoun of calories dogs spend while sleeping in the garage.
-Changed map position of the unlockable auto drill (now underground).
-Fixed light green appearing while using inventory and scrolling after equiping the drilll.
-Fixed fast travel option confirmation UI position
-Fixed Steamdeck hunger UI issue on the inventory.
