It took quite some time since or last update to VoidExpanse, but thankfully now v2.1 is finished and deployed!
We hope you can enjoy a few new features, stability improvements and other small changes!

This update also includes improvements to our backend infrastructure which was a prerequisite to release our next game - CryoFall. We hope you enjoy this game as well! Plus CryoFall will be completely free during the initial alpha phase and everyone is welcome to participate!
And as per our tradition, here's a detailed list of changes!
New features & changes

New game option - static camera (the camera won't follow the mouse cursor, as you guys asked us to add!)
Reduced "Big party!" achievement requirement changed to 4 players online (was 10)
Better algorithm for selecting the default video settings
Better detection of HiDPI/Retina screens and automatic selection of the according option to improve rendering on such screens
Modding: can create devices to interact with space objects (such as debris)
Modding: added multiple new scripting API methods

Fixed (Pariahs' Bane expansion) Pariahs ship was appearing in the store on stations of other fractions
Fixed local game server connection dropping issue (on a low spec PCs)
Fixed scripting API npc.GetSystemAsteroidsByDista nceToNPC() not working properly

Fixed crashes due to OGG loading
Fixed Render texture creation issue
Fixed chat in 4K scaled incorrectly

New features & changes

Added option for selecting active display to graphics options.
Added important networking feature! Now you can connect to people on the same network using local address, rather than external. This will solve numerous problems like "I started the server, other people can connect to it, but I can't!".
Increased avatar size in Decks/Dialogue windows.
Fixed

Fixed EMP/nova effect not rendering properly.
Fixed many issues related to localization.
Fixed faction relations screen when there are more factions than in vanilla game.
Fixed freezes under certain conditions.
Fixed null reference exception bugs.
Fixed game starting on incorrect display (Unity).

Greetings, VoidExplorers! Today we have released an update for VoidExpanse, which includes following improvements: Substantial UI performance increase: all loading is now done faster. Improved pathfinding in Autopiloting mode. Ships are now less likely to collide with obstacles.
Greetings, VoidExplorers! Today we have released an update for VoidExpanse, which includes following improvements:

Substantial UI performance increase: all loading is now done faster.
Improved pathfinding in Autopiloting mode. Ships are now less likely to collide with obstacles.
Option "Pause on minimize" was moved to the pause screen.*
Fixed seldom launching issues on Mac systems.
Fixed seldom launching issues on Linux systems.**
Fixed minor gameplay bugs.
*This was done according to our players' feedback regarding traveling with game minimized. Previously the option was located in the settings tab, but in order to improve the experience we decided to move it. Now you can simply un-check the option right in the pause menu and travel with your game minimized. Of course, this change is only applicable to a Single-player mode, as Multiplayer doesn't have pause.
**Some issues may still remain due to a vast variety of Linux-based OS. Please check this topic in Steam Discussions in case you still have launching issues on Linux.
