Hi everyone!

The work on the game continues! And today’s patch is big one, brace for impact.
The full changelog:
Fixed crashes because of missing screenshot in a save file
Fixed various AI bugs and crashes (combat start related mostly)
Fixed bugs related to saving NPCs into save file
Fixed rare crash when looting container
Fixed crashes when opening Save/Load menu
Fixed some minor memory leaks
Fixed modtool (upload to steam wasn't working)
Fixed crashes because of missing locale in OS
Feature: now bullets can fly through semi-transparent objects (the transparent part), previously was warning "CollideTri::CheckTransparentPoint not supported yet" in logs
Memory Watchdog, crash early prevention system. On low remaining memory tries to save game and show warning.
Fixed various errors related to dead NPCs
Support utf-8 encoding for save files (should solve some issues on some OS configurations)
Increased limit of loadout variants (80 => 255)
Fixed memory leak in shop/container, crashed fast with a lot of items
No log spam about "trade info" when opening cheater shop
No more freezes when entering and leaving main menu during game session
Borderless display mode and change monitor options
Option to run game in background
Fixed displaying map and mini-map on large screen resolution
Fixed making screenshots for saves in windowed mode
Fixed memory leak and lags when hovering items in shop
Separate mouse wheel handling for shop assortment and item info description
Fixed issues with mines after disarming (digging them out) and leaving sector
Fixed global map and mini-map markers positioning and scale
Fixed few issues with crashes related to items
Fixed crash when loading save game where one of the characters healing
Fixed saving proper smoke effect visuals
Fixed loading light state in sector
Fixed loading broken windows

Today we're releasing a small patch to the beta branch of the game. It includes the following fixes:
Fixed an issue where Steam Workshop mods could not be enabled from the game settings.
Fixed a crash that occurred when starting combat due to an AI error.
Fixed a crash that could happen in random situations when the game attempted to display a character’s dialogue.
These fixes were made based on your feedback. So, if you encounter any other issues in the beta version, feel free to share them in the comments so we can fix them quickly.

Surprise! Yeap, we are updating 7,62 Hard Life. Why? Because even though the game was released 11 years ago, we see that the community is going strong, with a passion that could rival even modern titles! The update will be available in the beta branch for now: we've noticed that
Surprise! Yeap, we are updating 7,62 Hard Life.
Why? Because even though the game was released 11 years ago, we see that the community is going strong, with a passion that could rival even modern titles!
The update will be available in the beta branch for now: we've noticed that it may fail to launch in some cases. If you encounter any issues, please let us know. We'll move the update to the main branch once we're confident it's fully stable.
Here’s what you’ll find in this beta:
Performance optimizations
Fixed crashes related to the context menu (right-click)
Fixed a crash related to weapon attachments
Fixed item icon generation (could previously cause freezes or crashes)
Fixed explosion and footstep sounds
Improved mod compatibility: fixed critical issues when using mods from the Steam Workshop and added support for custom XML configurations.
To access the Open Beta branch, head to your Steam Library, right-click 7,62 Hard Life, left-click Properties, left-click Game Versions & Betas and from the drop-down menu select the option "beta". Your Steam client will then download the Update.
But this is not all.There is something else we would like to ask your opinion about today.
We also want to add achievements to the game! We think it will give you a perfect reason to go through it again and experience it in its new form.
Right now, we are at the beginning of this road, trying to come up with interesting and original tasks for players.
And you can help us with your ideas! Just post them in the comments for us to review. We will do our best to implement the best ideas.

Our first update brings several fixes and the new configuration tool that lets you fine-tune the gameplay options. You now have an additional option on launch to run it. Please note that gameplay parameters were reset and you need to set them to your tastes again using this tool.
