Animations
Taming now triggers a new animation where a jar clunks down over the target Insectile.
Morphing now triggers a new animation where the target Insectile wraps itself in silk.
Glitches
Fixed a glitch where a lily pad in the Muddy Poppy Patch would disappear.

Maps and Menus!
Version 1.2.0 of the Insectile Demo is here! There is very little new content this time around. Instead, this update is mostly quality of life changes related to the user interface. I’ve also included the patch notes for the previous two versions, which seemed too minor to featur

There is very little new content this time around. Instead, this update is mostly quality of life changes related to the user interface. I’ve also included the patch notes for the previous two versions, which seemed too minor to feature on their own.
User Interface Changes
All sections of the inventory have been remodeled.
Insectile and item icons now cast a slight shadow behind them in all menus.
When opening the inventory, it will now jump to the last tab you were in.
The “Insectiles” section has been broken into pages.
The “Map” section has been added to the inventory.
Please note: If you have previously played the demo, the map will start blank. Rooms will need to be traversed to reveal them on the map.
The “Bestiary” section has been broken into pages.
The “Bestiary” section now shows silhouettes of all missing entries.
Gameplay Changes
The Fiery Form Caster now changes shape after each usage.
Glitches
Fixed an inconsistency in the Soothe tutorial. (1.1.1)
Fixed a glitch with the Tame Gauge in multi-phase encounters. (1.1.2)
Other
Changed the placement order of Insectiles in the Scare tutorial, for clarity.
Adjusted the color of the silhouette when taming an Insectile slightly.
Fixed a coloration error on the Crawling Olives.
Adjusted the mixing in the track “Powerful Pincers” (boss battle music).
Compressed audio files.

Variants, New Faces, and New Game Plus!
Version 1.1.0 of the Insectile Demo is here! Gameplay Additions Added 2 new Insectiles. Added a new room off of the pumpkin patch. Added 3 Insectile variants which are recolored versions of existing Insectiles with different encounter effects. Every sparkly encounter now contains

Gameplay Additions
Added 2 new Insectiles.
Added a new room off of the pumpkin patch.
Added 3 Insectile variants which are recolored versions of existing Insectiles with different encounter effects.
Every sparkly encounter now contains a variant.
Sparkly encounters now respawn, but will not continue to drop Soft Silk after the first encounter.
The previously named “Blossomed Raindrop” is now a variant of the Apex Raindrop.
Added the “Smash” effect which can clear shells, lemons, and rocks.
Jam Drops now use the Smash effect.
Great Walking Geode now uses the Smash effect.
Added a rematch with the Great Walking Geode which can be triggered by the "?" mushroom within the boss room after completing the demo.
Added New Game Plus which is a quick way to hop back into the demo with extra options, making many potential challenge runs now possible.
Please note: if you have previously completed the demo and cannot access New Game Plus, try opening up the completed save file and grabbing a save point radish.
User Interface Changes:
Added 4 additional save files.
Added toggles for sound and music.
Reorganized some menus in the game to now use tabs with icons.
The “capture” button is now called the “tame” button.
Added the tame gauge, which shows the probability of successfully taming an Insectile. It appears alongside the “tame” button.
Removed the “melee” button.
Added the “panic” button, which places a few random mushrooms for the player.
Damage pop-ups now bounce a tiny bit.
Every enemy attack is now telegraphed by a black thought bubble beside the opposing Insectile's health bar.
Glitches
Fixed a glitch where the Apex Raindrops would get stuck swimming on the overworld.
Fixed some other small glitches.

Insectile Placing Has Never Been Easier!
Patch Notes: Insectiles now have a dotted outline when placed. Insectiles now preview their effects when hovering above the board. Both of the above can be toggled on and off in the settings. Glitch fixed where NPCs may get stuck and soft lock the game.
