Hello Knight Squad players!
Our game has been out for almost 4 years now but we have a bit of a news for you today. Steam has a new feature in Beta called "Remote Play Together". Using the power of streaming, this feature allows you to play Knight Squad with any of your friends online, even if they don't own Knight Squad! It's almost exactly like playing on the couch. You might experience a bit of latency but that depends on many factors such as the strength and stability of your internet connection.
It's a pretty cool feature. It fits perfectly with the spirit of Knight Squad. We have tried it internally and it works fine. Now, we would love if some of you could also try it and leave us some feedback. It's not a Knight Squad feature, it's a Steam feature so we probably won't be able to fix anything, but we like to know where we stand.
If you want to try it out and have a remote party with your friends, here are the steps.
First, you need to opt-in to the Steam Beta Updates. You'll find the drop-down menu to do so in your Steam Settings, under the Account subsection.
Second, you need to also opt-in to a specific branch of Knight Squad. You'll find the drop-down to do so in the Knight Squad Properties, under the Betas Tab.
Now, you are ready to try it, follow these steps to launch a Play Together Party :

Open Knight Squad
Open the Steam Overlay (default shortcut is shift+tab)
Click on the friend you want to invite from your list.
Select “Remote Play Together.”
Ensure your friend accepts the invite.
The system will automatically connect everyone. You can also voice chat with them using Steam’s built-in communication features.

We have a pretty big update for you this week. The long awaited Sinister and Salmon are joining the Knight Squad and the Spiked Shield has been stolen by the trolls and put in the hands of the knights.
Changes

Added two new unlockable knights: Sinister and Salmon

Changed the controller manager to fix all remapping issues
Passwords for online games are now set in the lobby
Minor bug fixing
Sinister is unlocked by completing the Extermination (7 kills) achievement. Salmon the fishy knight is locked behind a very well known code for all the old school gamers out there. Does the Konami code ring a bell?

Well, part or this update isn't for the masterful ones that you are. Our newest update on Steam adds an Easy difficulty setting to the challenges as well as the option to remap all the controls and new polished visual feedbacks. View the full changelist at the bottom for more infos!
Update Knight Squad now and face the slightly less unforgiving challenges!
Features

Added an easy mode to the challenges. The original difficulty is still available under the Insane difficulty
Added the possibility to remap the controls however you like!
Completely overhauled the in-game UI feedbacks to be 60 fps.
Added the possibility of adding a password to your online game.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue with the Trolls challenge
Fixed the issue with the dark knights challenge where the waves upwards of 20 wouldn't save in the leaderboard
Changed the way online leaving works to avoid issues.

It's time for an update as the launch is getting closer! This update is mainly fixes and tweaks but we managed to squeeze in another challenge. Plus, we changed the challenges to be locked in a certain order if you have not finished them yet!
Here's the changes breakdown :
Changes

Added the names of the players in the result screen.
Added the new Crystalor challenge
Challenges are now locked if you didn't complete the previous one.
The dark knights challenge is now the last challenge as it's the hardest.
Fixed an issue in online multiplayer with grails/flags/juggernaut pickables
Fixed an issue with the scores not being the same on different clients
Changed how the boomerang works, you can now throw multiple at a time if you're skillful enough.
Also, keep in mind that when the game fully releases (Nov 16), all Early Access backers will receive 4 additional game modes to fiddle with.

Hey folks! We may have looked very dead in the last couple of months but we were hard at work on the Xbox One version! With a small team, it's hard to do all at once! So here it is, update #17 : Change list FX trails on sword hits. Spin it and look at that cool trail! Names of th

We may have looked very dead in the last couple of months but we were hard at work on the Xbox One version! With a small team, it's hard to do all at once! So here it is, update #17 :
Change list

FX trails on sword hits. Spin it and look at that cool trail!
Names of the players are now shown in the UI. Know who you're up against!
Changed the way the menus work. Only the first player has control over them and can go back even when there is other players in the character selection menu.
Fixed the sound on the main menu intro
Added the random mode
Changed how the soccer is played to make it networkable.
SOCCER IS NOW PLAYABLE ONLINE!
Bots showdown is now pausable and quittable
Modified the dark knight challenge to remove the explosive arrows power up.
Changed how the leaderboards work to add in the milliseconds for more challenge precision!
Added 3 unlockable knights! The dark knight is a super easy one to unlock with how the challenges are setupped at the moment.
Added achievements!
Lots of online fixes and tweaks. It should be infinitely more enjoyable to play online as of now.
Mac and Linux builds should hopefully be fixed. If that's not the case, make sure to throw a couple stones our way so we can fix this ASAP.
Bots will now try to unfreeze themselves
Bug fixes in the nest and troll challenges where you could walk off the face of the map.
We also resetted the leaderboards since the score format has changed and that all the previous scores are now bad.
I'm most likely forgetting something but yeah it's a pretty big update nonetheless!

We're back from GDC/PAX and we just wanted to get a build up with a couple fixes that were bugging us (and most probably you as well)! Here's the short list of fixes that were done coming back :
Fixes

OSX version should now be correct and work properly!
Dark Knight Challenge is operational once again.
Changed the Trolls challenge to cap at 8 kills.
Fixed the grail issue where a player could respawn bearing the grail and capturing it.
Tweaked the online capturables (Grail, Flag, Juggernaut) to be a lot less buggy
Resetted the Dark Knights and Trolls challenge leaderboard since they were fixed.
If you find other bugs or something we might have missed, let us know so we can rectify it!
