Hello Dungeonfans! It's been quiet on this front for a while so I just thought I'd check in. 1) Dungeonmans is on sale and Halloween is coming What a great gift for a friend who likes classic roguelikes with powerful 2010 aura and spooky Halloween content with riddles, candy, and
Yeah come on over and say hello if you're at MAGFest! I'm in the MIVS hall, which is hall C, showing off Eye of the Commando. Big news for that game here: View game page Say hello and I have a real life Proof of Stremf just for you. It looks like this:
Quick update! Auto explore should behave better with your pets and with enemies that are charmed to you. All you Lizardman Popes out there should see an improvement as well. Updates to auto explore in locations that aren't full of monsters. Tweaked input code. Some players were s
A couple of issues fixed, hopefully! Autoexplore walking into revealed teleport traps? It shouldn't happen anymore. Weird save states happening to like 2 out of all of you involving Daily Danger? Also should be ok. But we shall see!
Along with some minor bug fixes, I've tried to improve the autoexplore behavior. In general: If you try to autoexplore and can't because there's a monster in line of sight, the game should helpfully point that monster out to you. Specifically, exploration has improved in Towers,

The game shouldn't crash when returning to the main menu from the death screen anymore. Added a new UI for Salford's Sealant, because that could break the regular dialog boxes.
Still trying to figure out why some machines crash on fullscreen. Did some more work to try and fix that. Also tried to fix audio errors for older boxes. There's been a very helpful supply of gameplay bugs being submitted and I'll be getting to those soon as well.
Some people are blowing up when launching into fullscreen, I took a swing at fixing that, but the root cause is still a mystery. Even the error code says "maybe". Should also have fixed the bug with disappearing hotbars.
Fixed a crash involving clicking on the Discord link. Maybe really finally fixed the .Net issue, good grief. Fixed some silliness with alt-tabbing, fullscreen, and various resolutions.
Took a swing at a rare crash involving inventory item sorting. Fix for the Pay2Lose advertising shill crashing when clicked, that's cute. Might have fixed a crash for that one dude with the audio error on launch. Another attempt at fixing up the .Net issue people are having. Thes
Fixed the crash in the crash logger, yeah it's one of those days. Fixed the Beachball crash. Because surely there's only one.
Zoom view option sticks around Bird Eggs can no longer be cursed by Nurphe Bats or Scrolls of Curse Gear. Scroll of Eat Curse will remove curses from Bird Eggs, be they equipped or not, as long as they are in your inventory. Autoexplore has been added to the context sensitive men
Fixed a lot of silly issues with bird pathing and autoexplore. Autoexplore will not try and pick up items laying on revealed teleporters. Fixed a janky as heck issue with cloned Dungeonmens appearing when you bounce between floors in Daily Danger. Should, probably, hopefully, hav
Quick fix to some issues: Beachballs shouldn't get stuck in walls. They also probably won't get stuck in walls. Hotbar items you consume the last of will remain slotted as translucent icons, and light back up when you find more. Fixed some weird behavior with charging monsters mi
Slayer's Summer: Dungeonmans 1.4 Adventure for Everybody! A big update with some meaty changes -- all additions, we're not finally banning all Rangermens. Let's dive in! New Difficulty Modes When you start a new Academy you'll have a choice of four difficulty modes: Heroic Advent
Dungeonmans is moving to MonoGame! XNA is magic, and I have deep gratitude for the two operations (FNA and MonoGame) who work towards keeping the magic alive, years and years after Microsoft closed the book on their API. After a lot of fiddling, researching, multiple attempts --
I wanted to post an update on the state of the Dungeonmans mod tools, since there's been a little confusion, which is mostly my fault. For years the only modding was via heroskins or editing game .txt files. The heroskin stuff remains unchanged. The .txt file editing was always s
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making December 2024 one of the most joy filled Dungeonmonths in memory. The 10th Mansiversary Celebration was a delight to hold, and I really appreciated those of you who engaged with the new Crushmas holiday content. Let's take a look: "What
* Once again, multiple item turnins at the Academy have been fixed. * Starshards should work again for recipes and the starshard orb. * Boomerangs should show up in Mysterious Objects from History, and the Blacksmithing Blueprints menu respects them now too. * You can use a Boome
