Race Control
An early version of a multi-class multi-pace car race start system has been implemented, and will be testable by you in an upcoming limited-time “iTested” Official iRacing Series!
Participants in this Series will receive the coveted “iTested” account Award badge, and will help us collect test data on how this feature is operating. Once analyzed, this test series results may give us a better time estimate on when you can expect a full system-wide roll-out of this feature.
Fixed an issue where the Simulator could incorrectly present team and driver lap counts for driver-swap sessions if you connected somewhat late into the session, while the Server was keeping accurate counts. This could falsely indicate you have met the driver-change requirements, when in fact your team has not done so.
Race Servers
Fixed an issue where timing ghost drivers were completely invisible - that was too spooky and made it difficult to compare yourself to them.
Fixed a crash that could occur on the client when transitioning from Open Practice to the Race Session.
Graphics
Fixed an issue where AMD graphics cards could be overly aggressive with mip texture tossing, and visuals could look suboptimal.
Spotter/Crew Chief
Some spotter code has been adjusted which may fix a current issue where the spotter potentially quits his job after a driver swap.
Updated the timing for spotter calls at race starts for when you have car(s) high or low around you.
A new Japanese spotter pack "Japanese-COEIROINK_Aoba" is now available in iRacing!

Pit stop times have been improved to more closely reflect the 9 to 10 second four-tire pit stop times seen in the real world.
TCR Cars (Touring Cars)
The splitter ride height limit now obeys the adjusted ride height limit for wet tires.
Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO
Fixed an issue where the dash display ABS was incorrectly offset.
Fixed an issue with an incorrect brake master cylinder size reference.
BMW M4 GT3
Increased the size of the gearbox intercooler, TGEAR on the in-car dash will now show lower temperatures. There is no performance change as a result of this fix.
BMW M Hybrid V8 (EVO)
"(EVO)" has been post-pended to this car name to correctly reflect its status.
Added a missing IMSA endurance decal to the right side of the car, and removed extra electrical shutoff decals from the Neutral Inception livery.

Fixed an issue where car paints would not render accented characters when painting a driver name onto a car.

Fixed an issue where having accented or some non-english characters in your Windows username could prevent the Simulator from launching.
Race Control
For the race control rules governing pit speed limit, the rules will now have a notion of how far ahead of where the car is now it should be within given timeframes regardless of speed. This should provide a brief and small relaxation for physical oscillations of the car when vehicle speed is very close to the strict speed limit.
For the recent Pit Speed Limiter changes, added some additional preventative measures to the system for stopping inadvertent overspeed.
Updated some of the race control systems governing pit speed limits to provide a bit more leeway for vehicles entering pit lane.
Fixed an issue with Heat Racing where if a track had its "maximum allowed cars on track" value set lower than its "number of starting grid locations", it could fail to generate enough heat sessions to work correctly.
Fixed an issue that would prevent an event Admin from rewinding to the start of an event that only had a Qualify and Race session.
User Interface
For the Weekend Rules display, the qualifying scrutiny rules are now always displayed in all sessions.
For the Weekend Rules Widget, re-added the Pace Speed and Pit Speed values back to the display.
The Incident Tracker and Session Rules UI elements are now always at 100% opacity.
For the Settings menu, fixed an issue with the 'Only Show Controls for Current Car' behavior.
For the Fuel Calculator widget, fixed a Simulator hang that could occur when a calculated stint length was incorrectly estimated as zero milliseconds. No one is that fast!
For the Fuel Calculator, fixed a crashing issue with both the Mercedes-AMG W12 and W13 E Performance cars.
For the Fuel Calculator widget, fixed an issue where the stint calculations were not running correctly.

Dry traction control intervention at the most restrictive end of the range has been reduced - TC1, TC2, or TC11 remain unchanged, based on the vehicle. Wet TC intervention at the low end of the range has been reduced, max assist remains the same. These changes are scaled across the entire Dry or Wet range, so most settings have been fine tuned.
BMW M8 GTE
Fixed an issue where the rear anti-roll bar stiffness selection was not working correctly.
Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTE
Fixed a text error in the pit stop black box.
EURO NASCAR V8GP
Fixed an issue with the spoiler color for the fixed paint scheme.
Removed the ability to alter fuel level during fixed setup events.
The appearance of scrape damage on the side panels has been tuned based on vehicle damage.
Opponent vehicles should now appear to have the correct spoiler position and tire compound equipped, based on what the driver is actually using.
Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020
TC settings for all setups have been updated.
Modified - SK
(BOTH) - Increased effectiveness of FFB Low-pass filter to try and stop high-strength FFB oscillations when the cars are stopped.

Barney, Legendary Flagman, is now equipped with a proper flag - he no longer needs to only use his hands to signal race control correctly.
Charlotte Motor Speedway
(Legends Oval) - Fred's pace car pit entry technique has been upgraded so he gets onto the "Apron" part of the track faster, and prevents "passing the pace car" penalties.
Qualcomm Circuit (Naval Base Coronado)
Fixed an issue where crowds would remain when the grandstands were set to be invisible. These were some devoted fans!
The aircraft carrier number and name have been corrected.

Fixed an issue where iRacing was not correctly prompting the required installation of Microsoft VC redistributable packages that are needed by iRacing to function.
AI Racing
AI Drivers have completed boot camp, and are now fully trained and ready for racing at Qualcomm Circuit (Naval Base Coronado)!
Fixed an issue where AI Drivers could incorrectly apply brakes when being bump drafted.
AI Drivers have improved their overall skills with the EURO NASCAR V8GP.
User Interface
Fixed an issue where Keybinds for other controllers were shown when activated. For example, now if two devices with the same button ID are bound to different actions, they will both work, and correctly show up as distinct Controls when the buttons are pressed on the Settings > Keybinds screen.
For Control Profiles, fixed an issue where loading a car with a Legacy car-specific profile, when you've already defined a global default, does not import the old profile data.
For the Session Entries and Black Boxes, tire compound indicators are now correctly reset when leaving a Session, and are hidden when a participant leaves the event.
For the Relative Widget, fixed an issue with overlapping time and license on the large template.
Updated the UI positioning logic when using a VR device.
Fixed an issue where the focus driver display was not loading the default position correctly in VR.
Race Servers
Fixed a spooky issue where ghost and reference lap cars were completely invisible.
Controls
Fixed an issue with controls and H-pattern calibration, where the same control/button could not be used for incremental versus absolute gear shifting. iRacing once again allows for both types of controls to use the same buttons/gear positions on a wheel or H-pattern shifter.
Spotter/Crew Chief
Some vehicle damage calls from the Spotter have had their priority upgraded.
Fixed an issue where the spotter text messages would not fall back to the hard-coded defaults if they were missing from a spotter pack.

Telemetry
Telemetry may now optionally log ALL cars in a Session.
A new app.ini switch, [Misc] irsdkLogAllCars=0. When set to 1, all the CarIdxXXX arrays will be allowed to grow to the actual size of the entries table.

The iRacing 2026 Season 3 Release Build is on the grid and ready to fly! This is one of four major annual releases for iRacing, and it adds new content, features, upgrades, and more fixes than an expert pit crew could apply during a 24-hour special event. iRacing 2026 Season 3 officially starts on June 16th at 0000 UTC!
The wait is over - AI Racing has arrived at Dirt Ovals! AI Drivers are ready to challenge you in the dirt at TWELVE of our Dirt Oval tracks with either the Dirt Street Stock or the Dirt Legends Ford '34 Coupe! Two brand new vehicles arrive on our service, including the BMW M2 Racing (G87) and the EURO NASCAR V8GT. We have also added two new body types for the Formula Vee; Cutlass and Conqueror, which capture the worldly spirit of grassroots racing. Get ready to spend some time in California, as Qualcomm Circuit (Naval Base Coronado) is ready for its world premiere, and we have fully rebuilt WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca using new scan data and artwork.
On the track updates front, Charlotte Motor Speedway receives a new Dirt Road config with Rallycross - Dirt Road. Two tracks also receive major artwork updates, including Chicagoland Speedway and Oran Park Raceway, bringing much of their visuals into the modern age. We have also deployed fully 3D modeled curbs which will enhance the realism at two other tracks, including: Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, and Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Also, we’ve made some updates to the Dynamic Track System, including tuning some dust parameters, water drainage systems, and how solar energy behaves on the asphalt.
As for car updates and features, the NASCAR Whelen Tour Modified and SK have received full vehicle refreshes and brand-new tires. Seasonal class-wide updates continue with the GT3 and GTE classes, making them as real-to-life as they can be. Drafting improvements have been applied to short track asphalt oval race cars after a lengthy series of testing and tuning. Also, we have updated the pit speed limiter programming and rules for a more precise pit stop experience.
The 2026 Season 3 Release also includes some brand new features, including a new routing option for our Race Servers! This new option adds Anycast-announced endpoints to our Race Servers, which allows the simulation to enter our network at an endpoint close to you, even if the Race Server is very far away. This bypasses routing your connection halfway around the world on public infrastructure and plugs you directly into the iRacing network. With the addition of AI Racing for Dirt Ovals, we knew we needed to get Heat Racing for AI ready, and it is! The Sim UI continues to expand, and this season we’ve added three new UI Widgets including: Track Map, Fuel Calculator, and Incident Tracker. The Sim UI will also now be able to utilize Controls Profiles where you can set up, save, and load various different control configurations quickly from within the Sim.
The iRacing Launcher is how you explore all iRacing has to offer and find events to get you racing. With this season, we have added a new Series Discovery interface to help you browse and target your interests so you can find more of what you like. Another new feature is Series-Specific Sporting Regulations & Branding, which allows an additional layer of real-world rules to be in effect for some events. We have also added language support for Simplified Chinese to the iRacing Launcher, 欢迎!

After installing this Patch, customers with NVidia GPUs should expect a Windows Security popup related to allowing public and private network access for iRacing.
This is appearing as a result of preparations for the release of the Apple Vision Pro device support, coming soon!
If you do not have nor intend to use an Apple Vision Pro device, you can disregard this request.
Race Control
Fixed an issue where the pace car could speed out of the pits at an unrealistic velocity, only to pick up the wrong lead car.
This was most often triggered in sessions with AI Drivers. Fred, Flawless Wheelman, has improved his ability to identify the lead car.
Fixed a “ghost tow" issue where in extremely rare circumstances could cause a driver who had been black flagged for a connection quality issue to potentially gain a lap on the field with the right timing.
Race Servers
Fixed an issue where the host of a session using AI Drivers could potentially connect to their session inside an AI vehicle. Initial studies indicate there should be no long term adverse effects for temporarily embodying an AI driver, but we’d like to see these humans again in 6 months for a follow-up!
AI Racing
AI Drivers have improved their racing line at Watkins Glen International - Boot.
User Interface
The raceline toggle keybind (Ctrl+Alt+L) may now be used in Replay mode.
Fixed an issue where the Weather Radar displayed incorrect track map dimensions upon loading.
Fixed a crash-to-desktop issue that could occur when advancing to a next Session while on the Drive screen.
Fixed an issue where tire checkboxes were getting double-clicked when they had previously been mouse clicked and the user was using the default space bar binding to toggle them.
Tracks

AI Racing
Fixed an issue where AI Drivers could fail to post Qualifying times if the player advanced the event too quickly. The AI Drivers now operate at simulated lightning speed, and will post Qualifying times.
In AI Solo events, when the player quits the race between the green and checkered flags, the AI race results are estimated. An error in lap counting resulted in an underestimation of the laps completed by the AI. The error had no impact if the player quit during the first lap, but the effect was exaggerated the later into the event the player quit in the race. This error is fixed.
AI Drivers have improved their opening lap times - they are better able to handle the tire and surface temperature changes throughout the course of their first laps.
AI Drivers have improved their racing skills at The Milwaukee Mile.
Physics
The Engine Power Adjustment for Balance of Performance (BoP) setting may now be set to values greater than 100%, increasing the car's engine power. Previously, only values less than 100% were allowed.
Allowable Engine Power Adjustment range is now between 90% and 110% of the original vehicle engine power.
For Official Series and Sessions, the engine power percentage may also be adjusted within the same values, and the value should appear in the BoP for the event.
Hosted Sessions can now also select an engine power percentage from 90% to 110%.
During a test Session, the Engine Power Adjustment may be selected in the Garage.
The Vehicle Weight Adjustment for Balance of Performance (BoP) setting may now be set to negative values, decreasing the vehicle’s mass. Previously, weight was only able to be added to vehicles.
Allowable Vehicle Weight Adjustment range is now between -50Kg and +250Kg of the original vehicle weight.
For Official Series and Sessions, the vehicle weight adjustment may also be adjusted within the same values, and the value should appear in the BoP for the event.
The ability to select vehicle weight adjustments between -50Kg and +250Kg while creating Hosted Sessions will be added shortly.
During a test Session, the Vehicle Weight Adjustment may be selected in the Garage.

For the Throttle/Brake UI Widget, a new Graph Length option has been added which now supports up to 30 seconds of playback time.
For the Throttle/Brake UI Widget, a new "Graph Horizontal Lines" option has been added to help better read telemetry values. When toggled on, it replaces the moving vertical lines.
Fixed a crash-to-desktop issue that could occur when users were trying to set a HUD Profile as the global default, but that key did not exist in the “app.ini” file yet.

The iRacing 2026 Season 2 Release Build is revving its engine and waiting for the green to drop! This is one of four major annual releases for iRacing, and adds new content, features, upgrades, and more fixes than would fit in an iRacing Arcade campus grid. iRacing 2026 Season 2 officially starts on March 17th at 0000 UTC!
iRacing adds two new garage bays to the world’s best racing simulator, featuring the Audi RS3 LMS Gen2 TCR and the NASCAR Truck RAM. The legendary street course, St. Petersburg Grand Prix is now also fully available for racing. Barber Motorsports Park has been fully rebuilt from scratch, utilizing new scan data, and sweeping art updates have been completed at Lanier National Speedway, Langley Speedway, and USA International Speedway.
The iRacing in-Sim interface (HUD) continues to bloom with new features and updates, including: HUD Layout Profiles, The Visual Spotter, a Throttle & Brake Timeline, and two new standalone Widgets. HUD Layout Profiles will let you customize, save, and even share HUD layouts specific to individual cars or classes. The Visual Spotter acts as a different way to be informed about the vehicles around you, serving up the same data provided by the traditional spotter. You may now also visualize your throttle and brake inputs as a timeline, and use a few new Widgets: Session Info, and Session Rules.
In our unstoppable commitment to vehicle excellence, several full Series of vehicles have received massive updates, including the IMSA Vintage Series, GTE Cars, TCR Cars, NASCAR O’Reilly Series Cars, and the Lotus 49. These updates push the realism and performance of these vehicles to the next level. Asphalt Oval Refresh projects continue with improved rubber pick-up and distribution. Formula Cars at short tracks have also received some focused improvements.
Our graphics engineers have found a way to squeeze some additional performance gains from mirror rendering. Rain tires are ready for racing with the new Audi RS3 LMS Gen2 TCR, as well as the IMSA Vintage vehicles (Nissan GTP ZX Turbo and Audi 90 GTO) and the Lotus 49. Our AI Team has been hard at work in the dirt, with big plans for next Season - but for this Season we’ve added the ability for AI Drivers to complete Qualifying and finish race events without any humans present. All new content also comes AI-enabled right out of the box.

AI Racing
AI Drivers have improved their racing skills with the following vehicles:
NASCAR Truck Series
Mercedes-AMG W13 E Performance.
User Interface
Fixed a critical issue where the interface was blurry for some VR users.
Fixed an issue where certain dropdown selections would be blank in the Options menu.
Fixed an issue where the FOV calculation was not being saved correctly.
Fixed an issue where some widgets were not responding to opacity changes correctly.
Fixed an issue with license data overlapping the delta time in the large Relative Standalone Widget.
Fixed a few issues with the rows for the Standings and Relative Standalone Widgets.
Horizontal scrolling should no longer occur when the UI scale is greater than 100%.
There is a known issue where extra driver names may populate the Entries table or the Driver Focus selection while viewing replays.
They are being carried over from Open Practices to Races in Official Sessions. We are still investigating the cause of this issue. This issue has no impact on scores and results - it is visual artifacts only.
Graphics
Improved the draw distances for a variety of trees at a variety of tracks.
Fixed a Simulator crash or hang related to rendering that could occur when switching between Session types.
Audio
Added a feature to mute certain audio categories when at minimal volume.
Engines, tires, chassis/wind, and in-car audio are excluded.
Volume level slider descriptions have been updated to improve results in Options Search.
Fixed a UI bug where some audio controls were hidden.
Fixed an issue in the UI for the Spotter and Voice Chat audio units.
Fixed an issue for the Master Level showing 0-100 in the UI.

The launch RPM limiter logic has been rewritten.
The system will now 'arm' when the car is stationary. Once the car begins to pull-away, the system will be 'active' for up to 10 seconds or until 2nd gear is selected, after which the launch is considered complete and the system disarmed. This will allow the system to 'arm' again when a pitstop is made or the car is brought to a stop but should avoid accidental activation of the system in normal driving.
Removed a harsh high-pitch frequency artifact from the left channel of the in-car sounds.
For the paint template, added C-pillar windows to the body texture, and updated the decal and mandatory textures.

The iRacing 2026 Season 1 Release Build is out of the paddock and on the starting grid! This is one of four major annual releases for iRacing, and adds new content, features, upgrades, and a toolbox-full of fixes for 2026 Season 1, which officially starts on December 16th at 0000 UTC!
We have wasted no time in advancing our new Sim UI towards the next level of awesome and have added several new features for this release, including: Options Search, four Black Box pages have been repackaged into standalone Widgets, and substantial UI customization is now available via the new Widget Editor feature! Standalone Widgets are read-only UI elements you may place anywhere on your screen to monitor important data, including: Lap Timing, Relative, Standings, and Weather. Options Search will let you short-cut navigation and control of all of your iRacing Options. Additionally, with Widget Editor, nearly all UI elements can now have customized size, position, and transparency.
The iRacing stable expands with two new bays for two brand-new cars: the FIA Cross Car and the Porsche 911 Cup (992.2)! We have updated the aerodynamics model for the NASCAR Trucks using additional real-world data to keep the simulation authentic. The Dallara IR18 has completed an ongoing Hybrid System update, and the art team has refreshed the car to match. The Toyota GR86 has also had a bumper to bumper physics and systems update based on the latest real-world data. The GT3 Class Cars also demanded another suite of updates continuing from last season to really optimize that racing experience.
iRacing’s newest track offerings bloom in South Australia, with Adelaide Street Circuit, and in Florida with Miami International Autodrome! To go along with our brand new FREE Dirt Road car, we had to add two New Dirt Road Configs: Lucas Oil Speedway - Off Road and Winton Motor Raceway - Rallycross! Rockingham Speedway - Oval has been remodeled to the modern age with new laser scan data, while the historic 2012 track remains preserved for continued use. Mount Panorama has received a comprehensive art upgrade.
Our simulation engineers have worked hard this season to optimize the initial parameters and properties tracks start their existence within the Sim, including water, puddles, and wetness, and dust, debris, and driving lines. The Oval Refresh project returns with advancements to rubber density and distribution, thermal flow, and ultimately improve lane dynamics and multi-groove racing. And finally, new languages have been added to the non-in-Sim iRacing application, including: French, German, Italian, Portuguese (European), and Portuguese (Brazilian)!
Grab your raincoat, as the Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) is ready for rain racing. AI Drivers have also been fully programmed to race for the gold with the Porsche 911 Cup (992.2). AI Drivers have already mastered all of the new pavement tracks (Adelaide Street Circuit and Miami International Autodrome), and also notched Rockingham Speedway - Oval in their belts with their spare time.

This Patch Release contains important updates as well as fixes for issues with the 2025 Season 4 Release.
Special Demo Drive Note:
During this maintenance period, there will be intermittent connectivity to the Demo Drive launching/setup service for roughly the first 30 minutes of downtime. Customers who enter a Demo Drive Session during this period will be unaffected by the ongoing work. After the Demo Drive work is complete, and our patch deployment process continues as normal, Demo Drive will be fully functional again as usual.
Since Demo Drive will not be fully available during this maintenance period, Demo Drive will be left up for 24 hours once maintenance is complete.

Track splines are now aware of their relative altitude and may factor this parameter into predictive and estimated calculations related to car types for things such as estimated laptimes, race control gained time yield behavior, penalty balance, and more. This will improve timing functionality not only at a high altitude track, like Mexico, but will also improve a track that has significant altitude variation throughout its run, like Mount Washington.
Parameters for vehicle turbo and boost have been adjusted to correspond better with the latest updates for realistic engine operation at altitudes. These changes impact the following vehicles:
