This is also a month-one update and besides all the languages I made some final polishing changes:
once again I tweaked the save system. Now the game looks at what is in your save folder and doesn't throw a fit if something is missing, but just calmly omits that missing thing and moves onto next savefile. Even if you still have some old savefiles from the demo - the game ingores them and is only looking for new ones, made in the official release version.
I heard that it is hard to find all the small Deus Ex cogs in chapter 3. I made it a little easier to find the one on the Ra Square...
After the egg theft in chapter 2 museum someone also decided to switch around some paintings on walls. Now they're in their right places, story telling wise.
-
I think this is it. I don't see nothing else to fix or tweak to make it better right now.
But I will be on a lookout for your suggestions that might appear in comments or discussions. Maybe you'll find something else to fix.
If that happens - more updates will follow.
If not - see you in year-one update? :D
Cheers!

This was a busy week. Which is normal after the launch. I was updating the game daily, we're at build 1.1.8 as of today.
//
I've fixed multiple smaller bugs and oversights reported by you guys. Thank you so much for letting me know.
//
There's also one bigger change to the story / logic / lore that I decided to patch, since it was a bit confusing as it was in the initial build.
//
I'm talking about you, the player losing your inventory items after finishing chapter two.
//
Now, the story beat was that you crashed your balloon and you lost your items, maybe they were lost in the fog, maybe stolen, who knows.
//
The problem was that many players considered this a bug of sorts, a softlock, and were wondering if further gameplay was even possible.
//
You see, none of those items you lost were crucial for finishing the game. They were optional and used for two endgame achievements. I knew that, but you haven't. I understand the concern.
//
Therefore I decided to give you back your lost items. As you land in the hospital after the balloon crash - you can find your lost items safe and sound sitting in the cupboard next to your hospital bed.
//
Anyway, we're just one week in. I'm staying vigilant and checking discussions daily in search of possible bugs to fix. Don't hesitate to post any issues you have while playing. Even if you have some QOL suggestions, I'm listening.

If you haven't played the game on release day - you're good to go, game is patched and ready to play.
If you have and already have some savefiles that you want to keep, keep reading.
To restore your savefile from 15/9/2025 follow these 3 steps:
1.
go to saves folder:
C:\\Users\\your_user_name\\AppData\\Local\\daymare_town
2.
change your latest savefile (with highest number) to:
from:
dmt_1.old
to:
dmt_save_1.sav
3.
and your latest inventory save file:
from:
dmt_1.oldi
to:
dmt_save_1.inv
Done.
Now:
If your highest savefile number isn't 1, change the names to 1 anyway.
You have to have savefile with number 1 in it.
If you want to preserve more saves:
rename them as 2, 3, 4 and so on in a sequence.
You can't have for example:
dmt_save_1.sav
dmt_save_3.sav
without
dmt_save_2.sav
You're all set.
Explanation of what happened:
Old demo files from 2024 were interfering with the file game system.
Now the game renames them to .old and .oldi and puts them aside and the game creates brand new batch of savefiles with different names.

I will be showcasing the first chapter of the game, originally known as Daymare Town 1. There are few changes to graphics, mechanics and puzzles, so tune in! :D
