this is hopefully the last update before the release of Chapter 11. That doesn't mean you can expect the release tomorrow, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel [insert train joke here].
To recap the section list from previous update:

Section 3: Released in Part 1
Section 4: Released in Part 1
Section 5: Released in Part 1
Section 6: 100% done
Section 7: 100% done
Section 8: 100% done
Section 9: 100% done
Section 10: 98% done
Section 11: 5% done
Section 12: 100% done
Section 13: 80% done
Section 14: deferred to chapter 12
So in the end, there will be "only" 13 sections, I decided to move the 14th to the next chapter, (because it will yield a better cliffhanger, haha).
So basically there's one big scene left to be done, plus little finishing touches here and there.
I would like to conclude the story in Chapter 12, but that will require multiple story threads, i.e. a lot of content. So I may end up dividing the final chapter into parts.
You can find some preview/teaser images attached to this post, but beware of mild spoilers.

You have played through Part 1, and you are probably wondering when the rest is coming. Rather than providing any estimates (as you know, I'm not good at those), I'll give you some solid numbers.
Chapter 11 will consist of 14 sections in total:
Section 1: Released in Part 1
Section 2: Released in Part 1
Section 3: Released in Part 1
Section 4: Released in Part 1
Section 5: Released in Part 1
Section 6: 100% done
Section 7: 100% done
Section 8: 100% done
Section 9: 100% done
Section 10: 98% done
Section 11: preproduction done, skipped for now
Section 12: I'm working on this one currently
Section 13: preproduction done
Section 14: preproduction done
Somehow, each new chapter ends up being larger than the previous one. Even now, with four sections remaining, the number of renders is greater than in Chapter 10. I may have gone a little overboard. Again!
I've attached some previews, but it was harder to choose them this time because a large proportion of the existing scenes are quite explicit and I can't post them here. This is also the answer to those who thought there wasn't enough 'action' in Part 1 😅

We are starting the new year with the release of the first part of Chapter 11. As I mentioned before, I decided to divide this chapter into parts, because it was getting too long and I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer.
This release is kind of a prelude to our protagonist's life in Maidenburg Prison (spoiler!).
We will take a close look at the judicial system of Queen's Isle and explore the main character's subconscious a bit.
I have already finished a lot of artwork for future segments, so hopefully the next part will arrive soon.
While finalizing this release, I came down with a nasty flu. If the writing is poor, I'll blame it on the fever. :)

Second, I'm sure you're all wondering about Chapter 11 of Gynocracy. I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that I decided to split Chapter 11 into two parts, because it was getting too long. The good news is that Chapter 11, Part 1 will be released very soon. In fact, I was originally aiming to release it before the holidays, but I wasn't able to finish it in time due to the end-of-the-year craziness. However, it's very close to completion and my new deadline is the end of the year 😅

1) I made a lot of text fixes to the English version of the game. MagicMan753 collected hundreds of fixes and improvements, for which I am eternally grateful ❤️
2) I added translations in nine languages:
German (AI)
Spanish (AI)
French (AI)
Italian (AI)
Simplified Chinese (AI)
Portuguese (Brazil) (AI)
Czech
Polish (AI)
Turkish (AI)
Most of these were created using AI. Let me explain. I was always a firm believer in manual translations and disliked machine translations. However, two things have recently changed my mind. Firstly, several people told me independently that any translation is better than no translation if you don't understand English well enough to enjoy the game. Secondly, advances in AI have made it possible to create translations that take larger contexts into account, yielding much better results than "old school" machine translators.
Additionally, AI translation is more flexible, because I can e.g. translate a new chapter in a matter of hours. And last but not least, it's significantly less expensive.
That said, the result is not perfect. I'm well aware of that. There are inconsistencies, and some of the translations will undoubtedly sound strange to a native speaker. I consider this an experiment. If you test any of the translations, please let me know what you think. I'm curious to hear your reactions.

And I'm pleased with the results, if I do say so myself.
Attached to this post are some teaser previews, and as usual, there may be some mild spoilers, so be careful.
I know some of you are very impatient by now, the anticipation is almost palpable 😅 I was really hoping to be done in April, but unfortunately that didn't happen. But I'm fairly sure that Chapter 10 will arrive in May (unless I get hit by a meteor or some other cataclysmic event). Please bear with me, we're almost there!

In the meantime, I have released a small update to the current version of the game. The update fixes some minor issues (some images in the gallery were never unlocked) and adds a new "feature": the game now displays a detailed portrait of the key characters when you first meet them and at other key moments in the game.

- Added a new conclusion to the dinner scene for gentle Kalie

This is actually the same situation as the previous chapter. Of the 11 segments, 7 are completely rendered and one is partially done. Which unfortunately means that there's still a lot of work to be done. For this reason I won't give you any release dates, except for the vague "sometime in September". Development is progressing smoothly and steadily, just not as fast as I'd like.

My goal with chapter 8 was to create a kind of "fan service" chapter and to include some optional scenes that were requested by the players. In the end, there are four optional scenes (with some variations). The side effect is that I had to do a lot of renders. Not that I complain, I enjoy working on them, but it takes time. So I apologize for taking so long. In terms of the number of renders, chapter 8 is currently the biggest - by far!
