Hello everyone, and thank you for playing Ontotis.
The following game and performance improvements have been added in Patch v1.4:

The game was upgraded to Unreal Engine v5.4.1, resulting in improved overall performance, particularly in outdoor environments.
Fixed an issue with the collision of the drawer containing the Huxley house key at the start of the game, making it easier to interact with.
Changed the interaction method in the second part of the keypad puzzle to now use a freecam input system.
Enhanced the visual effects for weather, adding more fog and rain to create a more immersive outdoor atmosphere.
Fixed a bug where the flashlight and the axe wouldn’t have shadows.
As mentioned in the previous patch notes, the game is now available in 6 languages: English, French, Japanese, Turkish, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazilian).

Patch v1.3 - Various Game Improvements

Hello everyone and thank you for playing Ontotis.
The following game improvements where added with the Patch v1.3:

Added hit decals for the axe.
Randomized the sounds for missing and hitting with the axe.
Slight reduction in the volume of rain and thunder.
Added a subtle sway when turning and holding a wieldable such as flashlight/axe in order to seem more realistic.
A very small overall perfomance increase after tweeking some weather effects and particles.
Small increase in the hit size of the forest monsters and 2 placement changes.
Some translation and bug fixes.
As mentioned in the previous patch notes, the game is now available in 6 languages: English, French, Japanese, Turkish, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazilian).

The following updates and game improvements where added with the Patch v1.2:

Added support for 2 new languages: Japanese and Turkish making the game now available on 6 languanges (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese(Brazilian)).
Changed the IES texture of the flashlight and added a small delay when changing directions with flashlight wielded in order to make it more realistic.
Aim dot is now a bit bigger and more visible, additionally a new circle dot will appear for interactable objects like doors, drawers, etc.
Added a short hand animation when picking up items when nothing is equipped (axe/flashlight).
Various small fixes and improvements.

This marks one month since the release of the game and the following bug fixes and game improvements where added with the Patch v1.1:

Added support for 3 new languages: French, Spanish and Portuguese(Brazilian).
Added a new achievement for completing all the house chores.
Added flies particles on the fallen peacock frame event upstairs in order to make it easier for players to find out where the noise came from.
Fixed a bug where some planks won't be destroyed after coming back to the house.
Improved the collision and the popup text for the "close windows" objectives.
Slight decrease of the flashlight's brightness in order to make it easier to see items when the flashlight is on.
Increased the size of the aim "dot".
Increased the pickup icon distance of the battery after the statues gate and hour hand clock item.
Improved the collision of the interactable tealights(candles).
Small decreased on stamina consumption (you can run a bit longer).
A very small outdoor performance increase.
Added a small outline shadow in the subtitles text to make it easier to read.
Fixed a bug in which the first forest monster won't move/follow the player for the first time.
Fixed a bug with the spawning text wall in the living room after obtaining the electrical fuse which if not triggered correctly would block the players.
Added a custom interaction text on the watch chain in the office and the mirror hand found in the basement, indicating the use of a wedding ring and a pocket watch. (Note in order to be able to interact with the hand that comes through the mirror, something needs to happen first inside the house).
Added official "Xenoplasis Games" logo.

Patch v1.0.8 adds more improvements to the game and fixes various issues and small bugs, in more details:

Changed the description for some items in order to make it easier for players.
Fixed a small sound bug with video cassette 1.
Changed the sound after picking up the wooden plank upstairs.
Fixed a typo on Journal page 8.
Fixed an issue in which after collecting to many batteries a new stack will appear and it won't be deleted after returning home, new stack can now go up to 20 from 10.
Fixed a bug in which the text to close the window will display only once.
Improved the text displayed on the fuse objective, it now indictates that both fuses can be found inside.
You can no longer open any drawers or cabinet doors from the kitchen counter (the one where 2 kitchen chairs are located).
Added a new tutorial pop up text on how to combine items, after picking up the Top Half Axe.
A small change on the light layout in the office room and the location of the basement key.
Added a few candles to make it easier to find the holywater fonts in order to light them up.
Added a voice line when the player tries to open the warehouse door and it's locked.
After placing the ring or the pocketwatch, some lights inside the house will turn on.
Added few more decals outside the church and an arrow pointing to the 4 candles outside the locked door.
Made the aim dot slightly more visable and bigger.
Slight increase in player's stamina regeneration.
Fixed various small bugs.

The following patch fixes a few bugs that have been reported by the community and also improving on the overall game by adding a few pop ups tutorial text at the starting area, in more details:

Added 3 new short trigger events that will happen in the game.
Added 3 tutorial pop up text at the start area and at the house.
Added a new checkpoint after entering the house for the first time.
Fixed various item descriptions to make it easier for players.
Fixed a bug in which the candle in the PC room won't appear after returning from the forest after loading a checkpoint.
Increased the pickup area of the pocketwatch and cassette 3.
Increased the pop up time objectives will stay on screen (from 2 seconds to 4 seconds).
Increased the light distance from the forest lamps.
A small upgrade to the flashlight duration (total +360% increased duration since launch)
Fixed a bug in which the top half of the axe will disappear after loading the first checkpoint,
Thanks to everyone that reported any bugs and added feedback for improving the game.

Based on the feedback received from the community here are some game improvements:

Added 5 new batteries (+7 new batteries added in total since launch).
Increased the flashlight duration by another 100% (350% total increase since launch).
Changed the second floor key location to be easier to find.
Increased all items pickup icon distance.
Improved some item description in order to make it easier for players to figure out where can be used.
Reduced the sound of distance and close lightning sounds.
Character's default body/model ambient light is now 30% stronger and has 10% more range in order to illuminate dark areas even if players have no flashlight as a light source.
Slightly reduced volumetric fog and rain particles for better outdoor performance.
Increased the light that eminates from all house lights.
Fixed a bug in which Joann's model would stuck and won't perform any actions.
Fixed a bug in which after loading a checkpoint there will be invisible walls blocking you from going upstairs.
Fixed other minor bugs.

Here are some more improvements and 2 new events added to the game:

Flashlight lasts further 50% , in total 150% more than the original version v1.0.2 of the game.
Increased overall brightness.
Added 2 more ingame events.
After the second visit on the house, added new objectives to make it easier for players to figure out what needs to be done.
Increased the distance of the pickup icon for important items slightly more.
Fixed the bug which the ambient music won't loop.
Lighter item has now new text to make it easier as to what players can use it for.
Fixed a bug where after leaving the starting area subtitles would stuck and stay on the screen.
Fixed a bug where the text "interact" will pop up in some drawers and wardrobes.

Thank you everyone for playing the game, based on feedback received by players here are some quality improvements:

Flashlight lasts 30% longer.
Added 2 more batteries.
Player's stamina regenerates slighly faster.
Changed the locations of the small fuse and one of the wooden planks in order to be easier to find.
Increased the distance of the pickup icon for some items.
Reduced the rain particles and slighly reduced the volumetric fog to increase outside performance.
Added 2 more sound triggers in the game.
Lastly note that the game is build around Lumen which is demanding realtime lightning/shadow/reflection technology, so it is strongly recommended to use TSR for performance increase. (50%-70% values for lower GPUs and 70-90% values for higher GPUs).
