Expeditions: Samurai Now Available in Early Access!

It's been a bit of a whirlwind for us since we announced Expeditions: Samurai two months ago. It's somehow already been 4 years since Expeditions: Rome was released, and it was an incredible relief to finally be able to talk about some of what we'd been through since then, the new studio we had built to continue the Expeditions series, and above all the what the new game would bring to the table: a rich and colourful setting in Feudal Japan, a dynamic gameplay loop with lots of room for player creativity, and above all full 2-player campaign co-op.
Today we have released the game in Early Access, and you can now buy it at a generous discount for the first week if you want to help support our project and have an opportunity to give your input on the game while we still have time to act on it!
We're unbelievably excited to share this game with you and collect all your thoughts and suggestions.

Campfire Cabal
Having noticed an enemy ambush in the forest ahead, players have split their party and snuck them one by one into position to start combat on their terms and execute a devastating counter-ambush.
Enemies have heard a gunshot, and have moved to investigate the source of the disturbance. Line-of-sight indicators display how close the player is to being identified as a threat.
A group of enemies have found the dead body of an ally, and in response they have formed up around the entrance to a ruined Buddhist temple where they are prepared to face the player.
A player has told their party to stay put while they've snuck ahead with Ishiko, and now consider executing a stealth takedown. Ishiko's Shinobi class abilities are ideally suited for stealth, and the tatami floors in this wealthy manor dampen the sound of her footsteps.
The Preparation Phase from Conquistador and Rome does make a return in some scenarios. When tackling this work-in-progress encounter in co-op, players can split up and each handle one side of the fight. Whoever captures the elevated cliff can provide fire support to their friend below.
The 4 classes depicted here are the initial classes available to the player. Additionally, each of the 8 companion characters has their own unique main class that fits their identity.
If you think this menu looks overwhelming, we agree. It is work-in-progress and will be tidied up during Early Access.
