As part of our next step of Scarlet Record development, we've implemented several extra features as well as improvements on the existing ones.
Branching storyline: While Ruby's journey moves toward one certain outcome, your decisions along the way may affect how the story goes: different interactions, unforeseen reveals, restricted access of certain things, etc.. Rewards at the end of the chapter are also affected by your choices;
Japanese language option is now available;
Revamped UIs;
Several adjustments and bug fixes i.e.: Beryl's Bubble Wrap CTD when it hits certain enemies, Beacon Guardian's behaviors at the Beacon Site trial, and missing tutorial information; and
Minor housekeepings.
More improvements and adjustments will follow as we proceed to the next chapter's content. You can check our progress on Twitter as well as on Bluesky and our Discord server.
NOTICE: It's advised to start a new game. Old savefiles are not compatible with the current version of the demo.

We've pushed another small patch for the demo to address several issues present in the current build:
Fix: Fatal crash when selecting an empty item in Skill selection from menu
Fix: Crash/freeze at the end of Slab Site boss encounters (either by destroying the summoned resin or by killing the construct at the time summoned resin is still present)
Adjustment: Minor tweak on Ruby's orb animations
Adjustment: Beryl's Bubble Lens no longer ignore anti-repositioning properties on some enemies (i.e. Beacon Guardian)
More improvements and adjustments will follow as we proceed to the next chapter's content. You can check our progress on Twitter as well as on Bluesky and our Discord server.

We've pushed another small patch for the demo to address several issues present in this build:
New: Shared Stash is now accessible in certain maps where Luna would appear
New: Load/Save screen now uses a new UI
Fix: Summons (Ruby's orb, Beacon Guardian's spirit summon) sometimes cast a shadow beneath them
Fix: Summons mirage effect doesn't reflect the summoners' mirage effect
Fix: Occasional crash before entering an encounter during exploration in Numidium domain
Adjustments: Minor language fixes

With this announcement, we've just updated the demo in order to address several issues that have been reported by players in our Discord server, such as:
Softlocks that may occur in specific situations, such as dodging Jello attacks in combat;
Incorrect teleport coordinates in Numidium Slab Site A which may cause player to be sent into the wrong map;
Fixes and rebalances around character stats and equipment (i.e. incorrect MP values in certain augments);
Glitches that make some characters unintentionally immune to knockbacks; and
Content improvements (dialogues and UI)
In the meantime, we're working on the next chapter's content, some of which are ready to be implemented.

Greetings! We're happy to announce that Scarlet Record has received a new demo. The demo includes some new and improved features that will be part of the game later. There were several setbacks during the development, and lately we've decided to rebuild the game in a slightly new

We're happy to announce that Scarlet Record has received a new demo. The demo includes some new and improved features that will be part of the game later.
There were several setbacks during the development, and lately we've decided to rebuild the game in a slightly new direction. The result is the demo, which you can grab after this announcement goes live.
Demo Highlights (these were planned at the initial phase of the development, but for some reason were postponed till now):
A branching storyline that can affect the outcomes of later chapters;
Improved Grid Battle System based on the feedback from players during playtest sessions;
Reworked Level and Perk systems with incorporated Ranks that allow a unit to unlock new and powerful abilities... at a reasonable cost; and
Several visual updates, fixes, and adjustments.
While this is a big milestone for us to reach, we admit we had to take a few steps back before moving forward into the next one. Despite this, we're looking forward to your support on Scarlet Record project.

New and improved node exploration system--now it comes with narrative that grants boons or curses to your party.
New enemies that can be found in certain area
Added two additional difficulty setting: Story for those who wants to follow the story while having a bit of kick in combat; and Challenging for those seeking for challenges against various enemies throughout Ruby's journey
Several visual updates as well as QoL features

Thank you for playing Scarlet Record!
An update for Scarlet Record demo has been implemented. The update covers:

Fixes for several minor glitches including scanline functionality, status buildup and Cure Pill doesn't clear ailments in combat;
Minor tweaks on current node maps--now boss encounter nodes will show a proper icon
Minor tweaks on several characters, including Hazel's visual animation fix and a crash involving one of Verde's perks; and
A small revamp on several dialogue lines

Scarlet Record Demo is now Available (Steam Next Fest Oct 2023)!
A demo version of Scarlet Record is now available on Steam! It has a much shorter content since welp, it's a demo after all, but the sauce is still there. Bear witness to Ruby's first journey outside the Great Library in the upcoming demo which will be available on Steam Next Fes
