Description of the book
The alternative Soviet Union of 1975 made a breakthrough in the study of energy of unknown origin and is experiencing its best days. People who are able to control this energy are called psionics. Their capabilities significantly exceed human ones.
The main character of the story, Vladlen Vernadsky, a gifted but lost psionicist, returns from military exercises. He hides one secret from everyone - the ability to travel through time. "Is it a gift or a curse?" Vladlen wonders.
The train in which he was traveling is being attacked. Vladlen repeatedly dies trying to find out about his opponents and finds himself involved in events that decide the fate of mankind.
