D.Mon isn’t the only MEKA Squad pilot showing up this season. During our Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania Event, you’ll get a chance to support your favorite MEKA pilot by completing challenges, earning rewards, and seeing which one is the most popular of them all.
Battle Passes are getting revamped this season by letting you choose which track to unlock rewards in first, and by letting you swap an eligible Legendary reward for something in the curated Swap Pool.
Competitive is also getting updated with the all-new Emerald Rank, Comp Rank Reset, and the arrival of Team Drives that reward you for teaming up and sticking together as a group.
And that’s just the beginning! Look out for brand new map reworks, Mythics, the return of a fan-favorite collab, and so much more.

In Season 4, the Junkers and Talon descend upon Busan, the MEKA base is called to action, and one long-awaited pilot finally steps into the roster.
Tomorrow will bring D.Mon to the fight, put the MEKA Squad in the spotlight, debut a more flexible Battle Pass, and add new ways to recognize teamwork. Plus, you'll find more opportunities to support, rally, and make an impact together.

Introducing D.Mon
Former pro gamer Yuna Lee has defended Busan from inside her MEKA, Beast, for years. If you've followed the MEKA Squad, you've met Yuna before. Now it’s finally time for you to experience firsthand what makes her one of Busan's best… not by watching from the sidelines, but by stepping into Beast yourself.
D.Mon is coming at Season 4 launch, and she’s bringing her sword, shield, and a whole lot of MEKA muscle to the Tank roster. You’ll be able to wield her Plasma Saber to cut through close enemies, take one for your teammates with a strategically placed Power Barrier, launch yourself anywhere with Propulsors, and trade close range pressure for the reach of a Fusion Repeater to keep your opponents on the back foot. Then, when the moment is right, unleash D.Mon’s Limit Break Ultimate and help your entire team push forward.
When the Junkers attack Busan and Talon infiltrate the MEKA base, D.Mon puts protecting the city first and rallies the resisting force around her. Time to MEKA Squad up!
Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania!
No matter what they might say, every fan always has a favorite. Maybe you've been down with D.Va since day one. Or perhaps you've been waiting for D.Mon to finally join the fight. Or Casino, King, or Overlord quietly became your primo pilot pick along the way.
The three-week Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania game show event will put the whole squad in the spotlight and let you put your support behind who you believe in. Choose a pilot pass, complete challenges, earn rewards, and cast your vote to push your favorite squad member up the global popularity rankings. Every completed pass casts one vote and unlocks more of the story, bringing the personalities inside the mech into focus. Can't choose just one? No problem. Finish a pass and jump straight into another. You can rally behind all five if you've got the time to be a true team player. As you complete passes, you’ll fill in the Star Tracker. Conquer them all and a surprise Prestige track will open for the most dedicated MEKA fans, with special rewards.

Battle Pass Revamp
The Overwatch Battle Pass has come a long way, but Season 4 is set to deliver the biggest update yet.
Instead of working through a fixed order, you'll choose which Legendary skin you want to pursue first after completing an introductory track, so you can prioritize the things you want most. Premium Battle Pass owners will also be able to use a Tier Hack once per Battle Pass to swap an eligible Legendary reward for another curated cosmetic from the seasonal Swap Pool. This season’s pool launches with returning favorites spanning all Hero roles to include Raijin Ashe, Mob Boss Junker Queen, Cardboard Reinhardt, Sakura Lifeweaver, and Crustacean Wrecking Ball.
Topped off with a refreshed interface that makes things easier to follow, the Battle Pass Revamp will put more choice into your hands and reward the way that you actually want to play. For a deeper detailed dive, check back later today for a new Director’s Take!
And we're not stopping there. Arriving at Season 4 midcycle, Unvaulted Passes will give you a second chance to catch up on rewards from select Battle Passes past. Once you pick one up (or if you already owned the original eligible Battle Pass), it will stay permanently available, letting you progress alongside the current season whenever it fits your schedule. There’ll be more to come on these in the midcycle blog!

Familiar Battlegrounds Refreshed
Busan will now bear the scars of the Junker assault and Talon's attack on the MEKA base. You’ll see the aftermath everywhere, from damaged streets and burning wreckage to fresh graffiti, MEKA repairs, and quiet details tucked throughout the city. You can even step inside D.Mon’s room to find her weapon collection, posters, plushies, personal touches, and the mech upgrade room first teased in Season 3.
Elsewhere, Paraíso will be getting ready to party, filling the streets with colorful decoration despite Domina looming over the city (figuratively and literally as a giant statue). Meanwhile Lúcio has some plans of his own, as he’s upgraded Clube Sinestesia with music, frogs, a dance floor, and DJ booth. Plus, there's an interactive surprise to discover… but it will only be revealed if you're playing as Lucio! And there’s new routes, shortcuts, and high-ground access around Points A and B to help open troublesome choke points and give both teams more options.
Eichenwalde will also open new routes and traversal options. We've added new ways to break through the first chokepoint, including a quaint little piano shop that gives attackers the high ground… and you know what they say about having that particular height advantage! But overall, the update focuses on navigation and flow, making the map feel revitalized while preserving that which you know and love so you can play smoother.
Team Drives
Team Drives turn Competitive into a three-day run where this time, the team you find might just become the team you keep. Queue solo or bring friends, win your match, and matched teammates will automatically stay grouped for the next one. Keep the chemistry going to accelerate your progression through Gladiator Ranks, with the usual Hero Bans and Map Voting raising the stakes along the way. Take on Team Drives from September 4 – 6!
World Cup Cheer Rally
The road to the Overwatch World Cup Finals started long before the first match at BlizzCon, and now you can help cheer your favorites all the way there! From September 1–14, the World Cup Cheer Rally event will let you celebrate ten years of unforgettable Overwatch esports by supporting the conference you call home. Earn Cheer through in-game challenges or by watching eligible OWWC broadcasts, then decide where to send it. Rally behind AMER, EMEA, or ASIA, or applaud across all three as every Cheer helps advance that conference's reward track packed with Battle Pass XP, Loot Boxes, Esports Loot Boxes, regional Hero skins (Venture and Sierra for AMER, Freja and Hazard for EMEA, Wuyang and Juno for ASIA), and titles! The World Cup Cheer Rally is another way to be part of the action as the competition builds toward the biggest stage of the year. Rep your region, make some noise, and we'll see you at BlizzCon.
In Combat Feedback
The difference between winning and losing often comes down to information. In Combat Feedback features will set you up for success with a new Team Status Indicator, a Tank Hero Protect stat that identifies life-saving mitigation, multi-kill icons that celebrate a proper streak, clearer healing recognition, and damage contribution in the Activity Feed. You'll get all the info you need about what's happening around you, so you'll know when your team has the advantage, recognize the plays that turn things around, and better understand every impact on the fight.
The new Team Status Indicator lives above the Kill Feed, showing how many teammates and opponents are alive while highlighting when allies return from spawn.
Tanks gain a new Protect stat, recognizing moments where damage mitigation saves a nearby ally from what could have been a lethal hit.
New multi-kill icons recognize everything from a double elimination through those glorious quad and beyond moments.
New healing visual effects and health-bar feedback make it clearer when you're receiving healing, affected by healing buffs or debuffs, carrying Overhealth, critically wounded, or eliminated.
The Activity Feed shows how much damage you contributed toward securing an elimination, making the teamwork behind every takedown that much easier to recognize.
Mythics
Koi of Duality Genji Hero Skin
Genji has spent much of his life reconciling the pieces of who he is, making Koi of Duality a natural Mythic choice. Contrasting elements meet across four levels of customization inspired by balance and connection, with hairstyles and colorways that let you shape the duality yourself. Complete the transformation with luminous koi circling Genji, carrying a little good fortune into every fight.

Sojourn doesn't need much help making a railgun look dangerous, but Eternal Crystal certainly makes the point... sharper. The crystal and gilded metal contain an otherworldly energy that reacts to your eliminations, fracturing and surging with power as the fight rages on. Unlock new flourish animations featuring a matching crystalline dagger, then finish the Mythic with a kill effect that cracks the world around your target.
Level 1: Wield Eternal Crystal in its base form, pairing luminous crystal and gilded craftsmanship with the precision expected of Sojourn.
Level 2: The weapon reacts as you secure eliminations. Its crystalline barrel fractures, the animated orb grows larger and sharper, lightning dances across the weapon, and diamond-like details build beneath your Ultimate charge.
Level 3: Unlock two Flourish animations featuring a dagger crafted from the same crystal and gilded metal, triggered by continuously pressing reload.
Level 4: Final blows unleash a crystalline kill effect that cracks across reality to shatter it around your defeated foes.

Get ready to give credit where it’s due; Post Match Accolades are back!
Post Match Accolades let you recognize impact beyond the battle. After Play of the Game, you’ll have a short window to vote for the teammate or opponent who really stood out, with the MVP getting a dynamic, animated spotlight before the match wraps. You can even choose to join voice chat once the victory lineup appears, for a communal handoff into that MVP moment. Vote for things like great sportsmanship, team player, clutch saves, game-changing pressure… the little things that win matches but don’t always show up in the raw stats and deserve some time to shine too.
It's a unique feature that makes matches feel more personal, prestigious, and more than a score screen.
Antarctic Peninsula Map Rework
The Antarctica Peninsula has been reworked to create cleaner engagements, smooth out team pushes, and make meaningful flank routes throughout the arctic tundra.
Icebreaker now features stronger ship theming, streamlined flanks, and new alternate paths that move naturally toward the point.
Research Station opens its main choke and adds a new backside flank, for better options to push and apply pressure.
Underground has been updated with higher ceilings, simplified layouts, and clearer staging areas to improve visibility and overall fight flow.
Mythic Skins

Level 1 unlocks an Ability VFX Toggle that adds a biotech feel to your arsenal.
Level 2 adds two additional hairstyles, for you to dispense justice in style.
Level 3 introduces red/black and white/blue colorways, augmenting your cybernetic details so you can glow with dangerous intent or bright appeal.
Level 4 unlocks the Ambient VFX Toggle, making sparks fly to solidify your Mythic battlefield presence.
Sumi-ichimonji Genji Weapon Skin
Wield ink and steel with Genji’s Mythic Sumi-ichimonji Weapon Skin, the ultimate symbol of strength to cut down your enemies! Blending traditional ink-calligraphy influence with Genji’s classic dragon identity, you'll flaunt a style that feels disciplined and deadly. Four levels will deepen the Mythic, adding movement and reactivity as you become a battlefield blade master.
Level 1 unlocks the weapon, establishing your Mythic presence through unique ink and dragon details.
Level 2 adds reactivity, bringing your weapons to life with flowing splatter effects.
Level 3 unlocks two flourish animations to celebrate your eliminations, by spinning your shuriken into two variations.
Level 4 lets you master the blade with a kill VFX where ink follows your command as you slash through enemies.
Stadium Report
Stadium will keep its evolution going as Ramattra punches in, and Juno gets reworked for better balance and reliability. Plus, Lijiang Night Market lights things up as a new Control map, full of sharp angles to shake up your strategies. Seasonal resets are being replaced with a decay system for smoother competitive transitions that should feel a bit better overall.
And… Jetpack Cat will be flying into Stadium at midseason, ready to dfjab%srwe8#b$eg!

Perks Mini Refresh
A handful of Heroes will pick up new Perk options this season, giving you a few more ways to play, with a little more flexibility and some fresh options to explore:
Ramattra gains Prolonged Barrier, a Minor Perk that increases Void Barrier’s size and duration by 25%.
Pharah gains a new Minor Perk that lets Concussive Blast deal up to 50 explosion damage.
Reaper gains Trigger Finger, a new Major Perk that refreshes Dire Triggers cooldown when using an ability and reloading.
Soldier: 76 gains Agility Training, a Major Perk that increases Sprint speed by up to 60% after two seconds of sprinting.
Mercy gains Double Dose, a Major Perk that gives Flash Heal an additional charge.
