Greetings Voidlings! It has been a long time since our last announcement since our focus has been on developing new and old environments as well as the multiplayer feature. Here is a peek at the new map Electro Caves where Lorenzo Tatagilas goons have been busy building their hideout. This new dimension will bring with it the following content and more:

New dimension with it's own unique theme and content
New enemies
New boss
New player items
New music

Tatagila and his goons have been busy building their headquarters over at Electro Caves
(new) Foes
Stonk rat

This tanky new foe can be found around the kitchen
"what has he been eating?"
A powerful and tanky rat that you have to shoot from afar or you will realise how hard he hits
Bodyguard rat

Another heavy unit equipped with military weaponry and an armoured vest
"I don't think he works for the military"
This new plated rat seems dangerous equipped with armour and heavy weapons that your gonna regret messing with
Wizardo rat

Don't let this skinny magicians looks fool you
"He just scammed me out of 50 bucks!"
This rat street performance artist carries only a magicians wand, looks innocent enough.
Gunner rat

The most common foe found around Electro caves
Your typical rat goon, most of Tatagilas group concists of these gunners which are weak alone but their strength lies in numbers.

Lorenzo is the leader of the rat goons for a reason as you will find out..
Equipped with two light machine guns he will leave you looking like swiss cheese if you let your guard down during your visit through his domain
Overall the next playtest update will be bringing along a lot of new content and variation, especially for all of the warriors who played Nightmare a bunch of times during the first playtest! Electro Caves exclusively features it's own unique foes and environment which gives the game a completely different vibe, so stay put for the next big update!
Before the big update that will be in the playtest 2.0 we will be updating you on all the major features we have been working on so far. We will also be holding polls and making your suggestions into reality over on our discord. So head on over if you want to choose what is added next!

Now that we've unveiled our first map, the Nightmare Dimension, which will be the playable map in the closed alpha, we want to update you on what we've been working on. Visual Overhaul: We've undertaken a major visual overhaul, as showcased in the before-and-after image below. Sh
Now that we've unveiled our first map, the Nightmare Dimension, which will be the playable map in the closed alpha, we want to update you on what we've been working on.
Visual Overhaul:
We've undertaken a major visual overhaul, as showcased in the before-and-after image below. Shifting from a pink to a more purple color scheme, we've darkened the overall atmosphere of Nightmare to align with our envisioned aesthetic. The addition of a perfectly fitting skybox, though time-consuming, has proven to be well worth the effort. We've also introduced extra detailing, such as torches, and implemented a day/night cycle that enhances immersion. Looking ahead, we might incorporate a weather cycle. Additionally, we've adjusted visibility with fog, enhancing immersion without negatively impacting gameplay.
Gameplay-Related Content: Events:
Introducing events, which occur both inside sections and between them. Closed-quarters events include:

Camps: Tribes of huts with enemies and loot. Beware, as entering their territories will enrage them.
Teleporter Portals: A chance of being broken, these portals connect to random locations on the map, allowing free movement back and forth.
Boss Altar: This self-explanatory feature summons the largest and most fearsome Nightmare entity: Zahir, the incarnation of terror and anxiety. There's only one altar per dimension, and its location is random.
Between Events or Gate Events:
Guardians of gates, these events act as obstacles for moving from one place to another on foot. A few gate events added include:

Turret Event: Defend turrets from hordes of enemies to pass through this gate.
Crystal Event: Search and destroy crystals to charge open the gate.
Gatekeeper Event: These keepers defend gates with their lives!
