Hello everyone. Hope you're all doing well. Let me update you on where things are at with Day 21.

Included are 3 preview images of the final day, and a few images of the new Paige v1 Overhaul. I hope you like them.

First, let me refer you back to this post I made about an upcoming patch I have planned. In that post, there are a ton of improvements and features I wanted to add to Stranded in Space. I'll list them below.

• 3 Elysium scenes (will be playable in-story or from main menu)

• Writing improvements/consistency/editing for all days, but particularly Days 2-13

• Translations for Simplified Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and French.

• Complete Paige v1 visual rework.

• Added 1 sex scenes pre-Day 10. I won't detail it here, but it's not a true retcon, nor does it change the core story in any way. This is for sex to non-sex content balance.

• Escape Room puzzle, logic, and game flow improvements + visuals reworked.

• Paige Trivia Battle minigame completely changed/redesigned

• Render reworks for a handful of select scenes pre-Day 10

• Animation reworks/improvements for various sex scenes, most of which are pre-Day 13

• Option to skip entire scenes with a small recap of what happened in said scene if chosen to skip. Due to Story & Major Decisions, this wouldn't be an option for every scene, but if there's a character you don't like or care about, you could skip at least some of their scenes.

The bolded bullet points are the ones I expect to make it into the next release of Stranded in Space, and I'm hoping to have the time to re-work the Paige Trivia Battle minigame, as well.

All told, with the Paige Rework and other pre-Day 21 improvements, there are hundreds of improved renders being swapped out or added to the game. It's been a lot of work.

In addition to all of this, the next release of Stranded in Space will contain, counting the Elysium content, around 15 scenes. And, similar to Day 20, there are a few scenes that are very important and impactful toward the main story of the game.

What all of this means is two things: A) Day 21 will be in 2 parts, and B) the launch timeframe I'm hopeful and expecting for the next release is May-June.

I know that deadline might be disappointing to some, but keep in mind that the next update should be considered a normal, sizable content release, and that's without factoring all the pre-Day 21 improvements and additions. Day 21 p1 has a lot of content and, to reiterate, a few pivotal main story scenes (like Day 20) that fans of the mysteries in the game are sure to appreciate a lot.

So, that's where we're at as of now. I'm working hard on the final day of the game and trying to make it as good as it can be.

I'll make another post with more information/previews as we get closer to the deadline.

One final note about the Paige changes - This is for her pre-changed form only - meaning her new form, the one you see in Day 19 and Day 20, is not changing. This overhaul is for all of her renders pre-new form.

There's a lot to cover, so I won't bury the lede. Good news first, then the "darn."

Day 20's Steam release date is September 24th.
Day 20 won't have any Elysium content.

Here are some stats about Day 20:

• Most scenes of any update
• Most renders of any update
• Most sex scenes and animations of any update
• Most writing of any update

With considerations made for Day 20's laptop session (compared to Day 19pt2 not having one), this update will be the biggest content release for Stranded in Space ever, and that's without any Elysium content.

Needless to say, Day 20 is a huge update. I hope you guys have separate saves for all the unique scenes experienced from Major Decisions.

Though it may seem early, I want to talk about post Day 20, as I have a huge patch planned, and it's also why I'm holding off on the Elysium content for Day 20.

The release date and actual content of the post Day 20 patch is TBD, though the goal is to have it out before 2025 ends. Here are the things that I'm hoping to implement:

I can probably explain some of the logic behind the notes above, but keep in mind I'm not guaranteeing all of this will make it to the planned post-Day 20 patch. In a perfect world, all of above will make it, but it's a lot of work to balance alongside creating Day 21, so we'll see.

Let's get into the notes.

Global Photo Album

Your laptop's photo album is now non-save dependent. It is now possible to collect all laptop images in the game. This is also nice for people who use the Major Decision/Day Loader UI from the Main Menu. Playing a laptop session from there will now feel more normal, as your photo album won't be empty.

Nameable Saves & Delete Save UI

You can now name your save files. Helpful for Major Decision arcs or just trying to remember what you did within a save file. Personally, I don't like the extra step it takes to save a file under this new system, so I added a way to turn off naming your saves in the Preferences section.

Also added a little trash icon to delete your saves. You could've always just hit the delete key while hovering over a save, but a UI button is nice.

Day 1 Intro Images Rework

Slowly going through some of the rougher scenes from the first few days. Hard to balance this with making actual new content, but I do want the game to look better, particularly in the intro.

Sliding Puzzle Numbers Guide

Added the ability to see a numbers overlay for the Paige Sliding Puzzle minigame.

This makes solving sliding puzzles much easier, as the 'confusing' aspect of knowing where each piece of an image goes is fixed by looking at the number associated with it.

Added a one-time per-save in-game tutorial that explains this better.

Laptop UI improvements

Added dozens of minor changes to the Laptop UI, most of which aren't noticeable.

Examples: Gigi's name in this image has a new font, the question of the day has a new font.

Scrollbars added to profile page chats, text is more uniformly aligned in various places, buttons have a hover and click sound effect, the quick menu UI now works correctly when using the Major Decision/Day Loader UI from the Main Menu, you can now hit ESC to leave most custom UI (rather than clicking the X button), etc.

Tons of small bug fixes, like Camila's Day 11 group chat challenge.

Future Planned Patches

Nipples fixes for past content with certain girls are still planned (Ishani, Alina, Skylar, etc.), it's just hard to find the time.

Escape room improvements. I want to make it easier for everyone.

Profile Page Biography section overhaul—no one reads this anyway. I want to make it more interesting.

So, I've been back and forth about adding some kind of Light Reading Mode to Stranded in Space. One of the top complaints for the game is how much writing there is.

While working on this patch, I went through Days 1-5 and tested this mode out, reducing dialogue where I could in places where it made sense.

Sadly, I just didn't like the result.

I've decided to put this idea on the backburner for now. I'm not giving up on it entirely, and I know it will cost me some negative reviews, but I can only make something that I personally enjoy, and though I'm obviously biased, I like the writing in the game.

The images are previews of Day 19.

I expect to release the first half of Day 19 sometime in April. This isn't a guarantee, but I'm confident.

Why only the first half of Day 19? Well, Day 19 will be the biggest in-game day yet. The first half alone is about the size of Day 17. Beyond that and working on the patch above, I'm also working out a design that allows for a bit more player choice, particularly in the early days.

I can't say how or when this will make its way to the game, but one day...
