Bubbles move slightly slower.
Achievement for this minigame now requires 5 bubble pops in a row instead of 20.
Bubbles mini game is among the road encounters you find by chance. (Like dating, farming etc.) In this one you are able to pick a pool of themed kanji and do the usual kanji-hiragana matching through a new way. Though admittedly this one will not be as challenging or as effective

Though admittedly this one will not be as challenging or as effective at teaching. It is a side mechanic for meditating & relaxing.
Each ball you throw or each time you get hit, it will cost you money and each correct hit you do will earn you money.
Now there is a new achievement that is related to this minigame. Popping 20 bubbles without ever getting hit is the requirement for getting it.
There are new quality of life improvements to the game. You no longer have to start a new game in order to change the "Auto-center car" option. It can be accessed from the pause menu.
You can access to dictionary menu from certain events where it makes sense. So you can sell Kanji on the spot to make money if you need it.
A bug that was stopping pigeons and seagulls from appearing in the game is fixed.
The light grid on the road now moves according to the car speed instead of staying frozen.

A bug that made the car glitch out in the middle road when V-sync was On is now fixed.
"Adaptive V-sync" and "Double V-sync" options are removed. Code is optimized to allow for regular V-sync to work well. There are only V-sync On and Off options.
Scanlines are removed. Now there are square light lines that react to the car and "lighten the road" while causing a texture effect.
Resolution setting is redone. Previous scaling system is gone and is swapped with option to pick from most popular resolutions.
Game can now be played in Fullscreen (F key in Keyboard & the Start button on the Gamepad)
It is now more much more easier to encounter an event. (It used to be event per 25 uninterrupted kilometers, now it is 15.) This can allow for adding more interesting events to the game in the future.
