Lonch.me game studio and Alawar are excited to announce Exiler, formerly known as Exilium – an atmospheric horror quest with interactive narrative comic elements, telling the story of Adam Wayne, an exorcist and private detective. Perform banishing rites by combining skills and improvised means to cast demons out of possessed people.
Become an exorcist and embark on a journey from an apathetic detective pursuing his own benefit to a person capable of selfless help and compassion. Set traps, use a wide array of exorcist tools, combine them, and create unique cleansing rites for different types of evil spirits. Everything you do unlocks vibrant visuals and action-packed interactive comic book sequences that shed light on the tragic story of Adam Wayne.
Additionally, we’ve opened an updated playtest so you can try your hand at being an exorcist with a new experience.
List of changes:
- Added animations to all comics.
- Added animations for the possessed interacting with objects and reacting to performed rituals.
- Added new addition tasks to unlock prestige comics.
- Added a new 'Extras' section to the main menu where you can explore comics that expand the story. These pages are unlocked by completing additional tasks.
- Added localization for the following languages: English, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.
- Added highlights for items the main character interacts with.
- Added various new SFX.
- Redesigned the level completion screen. It now contains additional information revealing parts of the game's lore.
- Fixed an issue with display resolution. The game now works correctly at 21:9.
And many other fixes that improve the game. Check out all the changes in the open playtest now.
HOW TO JOIN THE PLAYTEST:
- Visit the Exiler Steam page.
- Click "Request Access" to join the playtest.
- Complete your first banishing rituals.
- Share your feedback via the in-game form.
Completed! You've proven your exorcist skills and are prepared to face challenges that require deeper knowledge and more complex rituals. There is no turning back.
