Fixed map-3 (Varuda) that was shifted too far to the left by accident
Fixed various spelling errors
Howls now show their proper unique names
Adjusted game balance in minor ways, making it slightly more difficult at higher levels
Tutorials added for Relationships (paradise map), Attributes (character status screen) and Skills (Skills screen)
Equipment screen will now always show the statistics of the current equipment, based on the active tab (weapon, ring and amulet)
Fixed weapon abilities like poison. Such abilities have a chance to trigger when using normal attacks
Fixed a bug regarding Rhea final VN Scene not starting (rank 9 scene)
Fixed a bug where some boat docks wouldnt trigger the go-home event

This hotfix deals with a bug when starting a new game Fixed a bug that gave Alex invalid data when starting a new game. This bug was introduced by the previous patch. Loading a save with the faulty data should load normally now and nothing should be lost.

Fixed a bug that saved Alex's data wrongly and loading it would reset Alex data to level 1. The data is not gone, just wrongly placed. The patch has a fix that will load previous saves and places the correct data, even if it was saved in the wrong spot before.
Fixed functionality of the counter ability that some items offer. Counters will take the place of a single reaction per turn by counter-attacking an attack.

The previous patch sadly introduced a game-breaking bug. This patch will fix that fault in addition to a few smaller ones.

Fixed a bug that was introduced by the previous patch in relation to savefiles, which would record faulty data for the difficulty setting (including values that go out of bounds). Any saves from before the previous patch should have been working normally, but saves afterwards could break the game when engaging in battle. Savefile data itself is not corrupt or lost however and after this patch, any faulty savefile are automatically restored without any loss of game progression. Any savefile that is loaded now will check if the difficulty value is faulty and if so, set it to normal Any new saves after his patch will store the correct difficulty value.
Fixed a "potential" bug where male alex was using the female battler
Fixed a rare bug that could happen when switching partymembers using a formation skill, due to accepting multiple inputs. The bug would cause multiple battlers to spawn of the friend being switched-in. Hilarious perhaps, but it should not have happened.
Fixed some minor clipping issues in Roy's battler animations

Fixed a bug when in battle, the skill was checked against older data, making the skill unable to activate in battle
Fixed displaying wrong save info when saving/loading. This was purely a cosmetic bug that could happen when renaming savefile names or overwriting them with saves from a different saveslot position
Thank you all for reporting any bugs you all found, we will do our best to fix them all as soon as possible.

We’re excited to announce the release of Ember Island! This major update features an entire new expedition island for you to discover, plenty of new enemies and bosses to slay, and it contains more than 30 brand new story events!
As Alex and his friends explore Ember Island, there will be plenty of new Skills for them to master. And all is not what it seems...something strange is afoot, and our heroes need to find out what mysteries the ruins on Ember Island are hiding.
STORY UPDATES:
Get to know your friends and the inhabitants of Paradise Island more in-depth! There’s 20 new Dating events, most of which have doubled in duration compared to the first chapter. Every Date now features several moments of interaction.
Reach up to Rank 6 with the main cast and up to Rank 4 with the side characters. There's more than 7 days of dating awaiting you!
BATTLE UPDATES:
Easy, Normal and Hard Mode are now available. The game, due to balance testing, was set to Hard. You can now adjust the difficulty at any time outside of battles.
Loaded games from before this update will automatically switch to Normal. If you’d like to keep the challenge, you can change it back to Hard in the settings menu.
From now on, your party’s HP will recover after battle. In Easy Mode, SP will mostly recover as well. On normal, SP has a small recovery, while on Hard, SP does not auto-recover. Additional SP can still be recovered by eating at a campsite or using Spirit Fruit-type consumables, either during or outside of battles.
You can now collect vital information on your enemies by defeating them, learning more about their strengths and weaknesses in the process. Click the Beast Book Icon in the game menu to find out more.
During expeditions, it’s now possible to travel to Paradise Island from certain coastal locations. When you return to Ember Island, you’ll start in the same spot where you left.
You can warp to any campsite you have discovered before, allowing quicker travel across expedition maps. Active camps will glow, unexplored camps will not.
Dolores’ Town Shop will sell new crafting materials every new week in case players are missing resources from previous islands.
Combat and reward balance have been refined, and there’s a minor increase in healing as well as increase in damage toward higher levels.
Guarding is now implemented as well and shows a special FX.
Mining and herb gathering on Paradise Island now include more varied and useful drops.
Cocktail mixing has been made more user-friendly.
Players only have 6 days to clear an island. Not clearing the island in time will result in a game-over.
Music will be streamed from your drive, lowering the RAM usage of the game by more than 50%.
We hope you’ll enjoy Ember Island! This update contains the second out of three chapters of Tropical Hearts. Once we’ve finished the third and final chapter, the game will leave Early Access and be officially released.

We just released our very first Patch. We want to thank everyone who played Tropical Hearts and provided us with valuable feedback!
Fixes

fixed negative exp gains. Now a minimum of 10% of experience is the limit. When loading a save file it will set any negative exp values to 0, for people who gained an experience debt due to this bug.
Swamplord scale and position adjusted (1/4th of previous size)
Characters now fully recover after returning to Paradise Island from expeditions
Confusion (and likewise charm/enraged status where the AI takes control of the player character’s turn) fixed for player characters
Special FX above the head for status effects like confusion and charm should be shown properly now.
Multiple input on activities would spawn multiple activity results. Now it wont accept multiple clicks anymore.
Changes

Added an option to add save prompts between long scenes. Currently added one between prologue and aftermath VN scenes
Added the space-key and left mouse-button clicks inside the text box as alternative means to continue visual novel scenes, besides the default enter-key
Added an info block for current equipment of the relative equipment slot, when selecting an item to equip, to help to compare them before confirming the equipping of said item
Added a back button to the load and save screens where needed, as an alternative to pressing escape.
Hidden the party/character/skill/equipment buttons in the main menu bar before day 3, to avoid possible spoilers concerning the character’s abilities.
