First of all, we apologize for the big delay in this update. We had to add more content than originally planned to deliver a full version of Scarlet Tower. This includes a new map with new bosses, an item manipulation system (Blacksmith), an additional familiar, and a few other things.
Let’s get into the updates for v2.0.0 Ashen Nightmare.
Scarlet Tower - Ashen Nightmare (v2.0.0)
DLC Price
The first new detail is the price, we decided not to charge for this DLC as a thank you to all the 150,000+ players who purchased Scarlet Tower during its development. All DLC content has been added to the base game as an update. Scarlet Tower will have a small price increase in a few days.

Scarlet Tower on Nintendo Switch

It is now available to play on Nintendo Switch in digital format. For those of you who prefer a physical version, it is also available for pre-order in two editions:

We would like to announce the final result of the survey v1.0. We created a post for you to vote on what would be the future of Scarlet Tower. The voting result was:

So we will proceed with the Content DLC and patches for balancing and fixing the base game, and we will announce the DLC soon.

Bug Fixes

In-game exit tab now correctly pauses the game.
Ultimate ability no longer activates with the UI open.
Fixed bug where Skeleton Staff fusions were constantly removing weapons from their recipes.
Frostfire Burn description now displays its activation chance correctly (previously showing 100% chance).
Reduced death screen delay.
Summoning staffs descriptions now display correctly.
"Give Up" button no longer overlaps the "Apply" button in options.
Start/Enter button now plays the map selection UI.
Loyalty points now display correctly, even if the player has reached the limit of 10 mastery talents.
Fixed bug where Skeleton Staff fusions were constantly removing weapons from their recipes.
Interval for Skeleton Staff and its fusions (Fire/Slime/Ice Skeleton Staff) now updates correctly.

The update v1.0.1 is now available! Let's go to the patch notes!
This update was focused on making the game bug-free. We will release a new update over the weekend to finalize all the bugs that were reported on Discord #bug-report ( https://discord.gg/SMUMaKJ6qX ).
For players who are looking for an extra challenge, we are working on the "Nightmare" mode, which can be activated on any map and corruption level, drastically increasing the strength of enemies and their rewards. We are planning to release it in the next update (v1.0.2).
Added

"Give Up" button added to the Pause menu.
New wave of enemies on the "Leviathan's Lair" map in the "Endless Mode".
Bug Fixes

Fixed the "King of The Hill" talent scaling infinitely.
Skeleton Staff (Base and Fusions) now removes the oldest skeleton to summon a new one if the player has reached the summon limit.
Familiar abilities are now correctly brought.
Missions with area on the minimap now display correctly (Necro).
Improvements in the font selection screen.
Champions (NPCs) no longer occupy summon space.
Weapon tooltips now open correctly.
Translation of the tooltip on how to unlock maps is now correctly translated.
Ghost icons on the minimap fixed.
Fixed fusion tooltip sometimes showing "Fusion with:" instead of the weapon name.
Engineer's mission now displays the percentage correctly.
Issues with hovering and selection in the chest UI have been fixed.
Menu animation issues fixed.

After 3 months of work on bug fixes and optimizations, we're going to announce everything about version 1.0 and future updates.
The version 1.0 update will be available on March 25th (Tomorrow).
The focus of this update is to add everything you've requested from Steam, like Steam Cards/Badges/Avatars, significant enemy balancing, and millions of performance improvements. We want version 1.0 to run at 60 FPS on most devices.
New Features:

Animated Avatars for Steam profiles!

Steam Emotions
Steam Badges
Steam Insignias
Steam Backgrounds
25~50% FPS Increase
Added option to switch between pixel and normal font
Balancing:

Enemies in "Nightpine Valley" had their damage reduced by 14%
Enemies in "Plaguelands" had their damage reduced by 22%
Enemies in "Leviathan's Lair" had their damage reduced by 28%
Enemies in "Scarlet Bridge" had their damage reduced by 32%

(Question 1) How many updates will there be for Scarlet Tower in 2024?

We'll release as many bug/ performance fix updates as necessary for the game to run without bugs and at 60 FPS on most devices.

News

Crosshair Overlay (New Control Feature): Instead of toggling between crosshair types, pressing the right joystick in a direction activates manual crosshair, while releasing it activates automatic crosshair.
New chest drop animation, with more info displayed.
Buffs/Debuffs are now displayed on the In-Game HUD.
Added an icon representing each Hero's Weapon Damage type on Character Selection screen.
World Eater boss Health bar is now standardized (Same place as Vorax and Vorgron).
A Tutorial explaining how Masteries work is now displayed during Loading screen.
Familiar's info are now displayed in the In-Game Tooltip.
Changes

Maximum rank of talents reduced to 5
Blood Drop now has a 3s CD to activate
Shatter Bones now deals 40% less damage
Enemies in the Scarlet Tower had their damage, health, and speed reduced by 20%, 15%, 25%.
Brewmaster has been improved by 125%
Chemical Flux has been improved by 40%
Magical Reflection has been improved by 100%
Antichrist Blood is now part of the "Priests" family
Faith points now provide: +1% attack speed, +1% luck
Occultism points now provide: +1% spell acceleration (CDR), +1% greed
Perseverance points now provide: +2 move speed, +3% gathering range
Darkness Knife had its damage increased by 80% at rank 4
Bug Fixes

Vendor's buying cost is no longer out of place on the UI.
Gamepad's Manual Level UP button is no longer the same as Show Map button.
Chest Discard FX is a little less cloudy.
Priest's attack range is now fixed.
Fixed a bug in which the Rune Upgrade FX were not displayed correctly.
Runes are no longer interactable while enchanting.
Player's current Talents selections are now saved properly.
Talent Tiers are now saved properly.
NPC's will no longer get stuck on Trees.
Banish is now working properly.
In-Game tooltips are no longer displayed over the Game Over UI.
Fixed Frostfire description.
Elementalist NPC ice hitbox fixed.
Frostfire description
Elementalist's Ice is now correctly targeted by players
Corrected icons for Vengeful Wrath effects (Templar's Mastery).
Corrected descriptions for Alchemical Mirror Charges (Alchemist's Mastery).
Proper subtype applied to Deep Orb (Elementalists).
Blacksmith ability "Torn Tendons" no longer appears duplicated on Level-Up.
Loyalty Points (Faith, Perseverance, Occultism) now provide attribute bonuses correctly.
Loyalty Points descriptions have been changed for better understanding.
Removed situations where Dark Servants (Necromancers' Mastery) spawned upon completing the map's NPC mission.
Pilgrimage Staff and the Archangel Staff now they apply Smite correctly.

(July)
In the "Bloody Gates" Update (v0.9.3), we will introduce the Loyalty to Councils system, such as the Councils of Faith, Occultism, and Perseverance.
Each council will consist of 3 families, represented by 3 NPCs that can be found in the world. Finding and assisting these NPCs will make them join your group, helping you during the run, and they will be called "Allies" (the NPCs shown in the image above).
All weapons in the game will belong to a family. Obtaining a weapon from a family will unlock 8 talents from that family, which can appear as choices during leveling upːsteamthisː.
If you choose the Holy Bible, which belongs to the Paladin family, the following talents will appear as options for you during your leveling:
If you choose any minion-summoning weapon, which will be the new weapons added in the Bloody Gates update, the following talents will appear:
The talents have 3 categories:
Grade 1: Unlocked with normal weapons
Grade 2: Unlocked through fusion
Grade 3: Unlocked through the Black Altar challenge
Another new change in the leveling system is the Council Loyalty points, which will appear during leveling to increase the range of possibilities and build customization.
Allocating points to Faith will increase your physical strength and health.
Allocating points to Occultism will increase your magical armor and magical damage.
Allocating points to Perseverance will increase your physical armor and critical damage.
In addition to increasing basic stats, the points also drastically alter the mastery of each family. Let's take an example:
Paladin Mastery Talent: Beacon of Light.
All weapons from the Paladin family have a 5% chance to unleash Beacon of Light upon dealing damage.
Beacon of Light emits a light that follows you, dealing 70 area damage per second and healing 20% of the damage dealt to all allies. +10% healing based on damage for each ally (NPC/Minion) on the field. Beacon of Light lasts for 3 seconds.
For every 3 points in Faith, gain +0.5s duration for Beacon of Light.
For every point in Perseverance, gain +0.1% chance to unleash Beacon of Light.
For every point in Occultism, increase Beacon of Light's damage by +10.
There will be
80 new talents
in the Loyalty to Councils system.
