I do genuinely enjoy working on Schism and still have a lot of ideas I didn't have time to add planned, like more relics, gods, bosses, weapons and much more! Hopefully with these bug fixes/optimizations done I can focus on adding new stuff.

It's finally here! It's surreal to finally be "done" with this game with how much time and energy I put into it (more than 4 years!), but at the same time it's a nice feeling to see all your hard work pay off. This was my first commercial game released, and I couldn't have hoped

It's surreal to finally be "done" with this game with how much time and energy I put into it (more than 4 years!), but at the same time it's a nice feeling to see all your hard work pay off. This was my first commercial game released, and I couldn't have hoped for a better release thanks to all the fans helping and the amazing 2 Left Thumbs for publishing and assisting with it! I've learned so much from this project that I can't wait to work on my other ideas, and I hope you look forward to them too!
All that said, I'll still fix bugs frequently, and infrequently I'll still push big content updates! I genuinely enjoy working on this game and playing it, and have so many ideas I didn't have time to add. I'm grateful to be able to still add on to this and tweak it even after it's "finished". Expect initial bugfix updates to be between every week or month, and content updates to happen sporadically.
Thank you to everyone who helped during the making of this game! So much changed thanks to player feedback and bug hunting. This game would be a lot rougher and buggier if not for you guys.

After years of work, hundreds of items, bug fixes, and whole new mechanics added it's finally time to enter 1.0! It's hard to believe this little game I started working on in my off-time pre-covid would have so much added and so many lovely people playing it and sharing the craziness they experienced in it, but here we are! Just from memory alone, this is what's been added since it's early access release in December 2023:
I was planning on 1.0 to be the previous update since the final area was added and so much was already in the game, but I felt it needed just one more patch to give it the finishing touches it deserved before sending it. There's a lot of stuff coming this update: new weapons, new items, lots of polish everywhere, lots of achievements, plenty of bugfixes, and more.
Some very silly, but strong, weapons that are being added this update include:
THAT SAID, this isn't the end. Bugfixes will still come regularly (between weekly to monthly), and content updates will too but at inconsistent and longer stretches of time as I take time to work on other projects and focus on myself for a bit. I love this game and could work on it forever if given the opportunity, but I have so many ideas I'd love to make a reality and so many things I need to do in my personal life, that big updates will have to wait until I find time to work on them. Expect big updates to go from once a month to every few months.

Does it not work with your controller, is the lack of button prompts too annoying to play without, or is it something else?
