That's right! Now you can feel everything that poor Hornet feels! Getting shot, falling into the abyss, blowing up, crashing your mirage into a ton of explosives! Sounds like an amazing experience! Right?
Oh, and by the way, there's a whoooole lot of other things we cooked with this new version! One of those things are... ACHIEVEMENTS!!! That's right, they're finally here! Also we've done some requested enemy improvements and much, MUCH more!
Anyways, im sure you're curious about what exacrlty we did and what feedback we implemented, so here's a full list of everything!
Gameplay

Armor debris collision is fixed — the player can no longer stand on armor pieces
ACHIEVEMENTS
Enemy accuracy is now range-dependent
Enemies now react faster if they lose sight of the player
Enemies now play turn animations correctly
Several climbing issues were fixed
Elevator buttons now have better visibility and differ in color
The player’s hand no longer disappears when reloading a save with a weapon in hand
The climbing is now more stable
Varg’s hooks are now easier to access
Syringes no longer affect cutscenes and their buffs are removed before the cutscene starts
Enemy troops are now more mobile
Enemy accuracy now depends on the player’s mobility — increases for standing targets, decreases for moving targets
Enemy recoil is now both vertical and horizontal
Actions leading to enemies dying are now registered correctly
Several enemy animations were updated
Several issues related to hook-dash ability were resolved
The final boss now properly stops before dying
Health and armor values for bosses underwent balance changes
Enemy fire rate was rebalanced
Enemies no longer yeet themselves to space after jumping
Heavy enemies now have their jogging animation fixed
Some enemies were mistakenly unhookable before. Not anymore.
Melee enemies that can push now look for cover if the player is unreachable
Took away teleportation tricks from enemies. Now they jump over obstacles properly.
Level Art

Several annoying broken collisions, fog and flying objects were fixed in the Bunker mission
Fixed distance culling of some meshes at Leadlair
Missing gameplay sublevel in the Bunker mission is now restored
Prologue underwent some minor fixes
Cull distances at Bordergate now work better
Track Owner no longer talks to the player after you escape the track
Light mobility at Forgepolis was improved
Proxies at Bordergate now work properly
Graphics

FBAR magazine LODs were fixed
Upgrade case now has better interior textures, its visibility was significantly improved
SFX/VFX
Flying enemy VFXs are now smoother
Bhaptics

Landing (a slight vibration at the bottom of the torso)
Wind (on the vehicles too!)
Sliding along the floor (back haptics activation)
Grabbing objects and surfaces
Shooting
Hook swinging and release haptics (depends on overall hook stress when swinging)
Inventory interactions (belt and back slots)
Taking damage from bullets, explosions and melee attacks

VISUAL UPDATES!
Alright, alright, without further ado, let's jump right into it!
The visual update itself! (already in the works)
We are set on maintaining our visual style, however, the quantity and quality of expressive means will be significantly increased across all platforms. Visual improvement will affect several locations not only from an aesthetical standpoint, but also in terms of gameplay experience.
First and foremost it is the player’s navigation that will be affected. As you might have noticed we tend to keep the interface clear of any unnecessary markers — for that reason we are planning to add native markers to help the player progress further.
You can also expect the weather events to have more impact both visually and audibly
Some boss arenas will be changed to favor gameplay aspects and test the player’s skills all the while reminding of learnt mechanics (basically how it works with the boss residing in Bordergate)
Boss AI will also adapt to these changes
The visual aspects of several story scenes will be sufficiently refined
Gameplay tutorials will be tweaked slightly, the same goes for several notes and tapes that will be changed to provide contextual tutorial (in case the player misses a UI-hint)
New visual effects, both scenical and gameplay focused
Exciting additions (prior to the content patch)

Achievements (plenty of them)
Peripheral hardware (Bhaptics)
We’ve also noticed that some players experience difficulties with our movement system. We are planning to introduce several accessibility features that will allow our players to customize and simplify some of the mechanics.

Let’s have a little talk about all the current milestones of our Roadmap for The Burst. You’ll see what our team is up to right now and what to expect in the upcoming months. It’s a bit more complicated than just “we are fixing things” and expands on the whole “visual update” we are planning for this beloved child of ours. This time we'll cover...
GENERAL TWEAKING AND TINKERING
Critical bug fixes. Basically, what we were doing all this time anyway (and will keep on doing). That includes but isn’t limited to:

Crashes, optimization stuttering, nasty visual and audio bugs.
Going out of bounds, misplaced kill volumes and soft-locks.
The AI in general will go through a lot of fine-tuning. As its improvement will be gradual, you’ll see some of it first-hand even before the content patch rolls out. The improvements mentioned will address some enemy AI issues such as navigation and behavior:

Navigation: those of you who played our Demo might have noticed a downgrade in bot positioning and movement. The main reason for it is the seamless nature of the game — it utilizes a more complex navigational system than the standalone Demo/Prologue chapter. As of right now we are both fixing current navigation as it is and adding new pathing for bots to exclude any possibility of them getting stuck in a navigational bottleneck, so they could figure out optimal or alternative routes during the shootouts. All in all the upcoming changes will also affect enemy animations.
Behavior: Shelldogs (and other enemies) are currently in rehab after overdosing on entfant flesh. Enemy reactions to the player will be changed to match the bot’s role on the battlefield for them to coincide with a logical layout of their squad. In addition to fixing the AI’s indifference to the player, navigational mishaps and clumsy self-detonating grenadiers, we plan on making enemies more recognizable as members of their subclass. Right now it is common for players to not discern different types of enemies from one another. It will change in the near future, however — all enemies will have a class behavior pattern: shooters with a decent range will be less mobile and remain at advantageous positions, while assault units will force close quarters combat with the player.
And one of the last, but not the least:

Weapon rebalancing and improvements focusing on Mirage fights (some of them you might have already noticed)
Hook targeting enhancement and swinging mechanic tweaking.

A week ago we started collecting questions to answer in our Q&A. You seem to know a lot about The Burst already, huh? Well, not all of you, so here are some answers:

Will there ever be free story dlc / paid content? We are not planning any DLCs as separate 'downloadable content' yet. But as you may know we are planning at least two new game modes, which are still under wraps, although I'm pretty sure we'll have something to show you soon enough ;)
What was your scariest moment when the game released? It wasn't particularly scary, more like very... embarrassing. We couldn't bring the game to its desired state in the given time.
When jump button? We have heard your request and added it to the list of features requested by players. We can't say exactly when we'll be able to implement it, but rest assured, we remember about it <3
What was the most difficult thing during the development? Development in itself isn't easy, especially when work as a team. People need to be guided in the right direction, you have to acknowledge the limits you can push your project to. Some features require a lot of time and effort and the AI… Don't even get me started on it.
Who is the woman you play as in the prologue? Nova is a rebel who comes from one of the UCE unruly colonies. Her role is to show the player the hook and jet-belt capabilities that "K" kindly provides her with. You'll see her at Bordergate though.
How many unique endings are there? There are 6 of them. Or 4 if you don't take variations into account. However, even variations have their own afterscene and monologue, so in my mind it counts as a legitimate ending. ~~No spoilers though ;)~~
Could the game`s setting be considered grimdark, and will there be lore of what is outside the prison planet? There is some lore indicating it, but you will have to look around to find out the exact details, as well as some social and political homages.
Can you tell us a little bit more on the lore/ the world order in the game? The colony planet Damag experienced an all-out nuclear war about 40 years ago. It hasn’t recovered since, but considering that Damag is the only planet where people can mine a resource called Amplinium, something had to be done. So the United Coalition of Earth turned Damag into a penal colony planet. Convicts are sent here indefinitely to mine resources and trade them for food, water and other supplies. Saying that the universe itself experienced an apocalypse isn’t right. The planet did. And you will bear witness to the consequences of human greed.

P.S. we've seen the rant about the AI... god, those mindfried freaks. Damag's toxic fumes surely mashed up their little braincells. Don't worry, we'll send those junkies to rehab.

That is an overheard conversation between two boom-engineers. Unfortunately, the recording ends there. Unfortunately, we lost contact with our agent.
Once again, you will need some information on this gang. Here is an excerpt from our archive:
This technocrat faction is loyal to the Agreement with the UCE. Boomboys send most of the chemicals and explosives up the space bridges. Most of their new "recruits" are engineers, artillery experts, sappers, scientists, chemists — all sorts of war criminals and/or frauds, traitors who made a deal with the tribunal to escape execution. They are cautious around strangers and aren’t known for having a friendly attitude.
Now some entries on their hierarchy:

Techpresidents — twin brothers, who held the manufacturing presidium office before the war. They survived the blast in their bunker with the help of cryostasis.
Obercurators — serve as mayors and overseers for settlements, but unlike simple curators can command troops.
Techkillers — top-ranking States of Progress military officials. They wield heavily modified weapons and upgraded armor.
Curators — traders and merchants managing mines, small settlements or factory departments. Former engineers, scientists, foremen.
Boomboys — The best of them have several Boombangs to command.
Boombangs — Unhinged. Extremely volatile.

Though mostly loyal and obedient, Shelldogs are prone to unpredictable behavior. One day they call our spacebridges "Heavencanes" and praise Damag's moon as their Wolfgod, the other - blow one of them up, halting trade in the region.
It would be useful to learn more on the gang's hierarchy, before you are sent to Damag, operative. Here is an excerpt from our archive:

Mega-bitch or Utopia — the head of the Shelldogs.
Shellpriestesses and Bulletpriestesses take on general and chaplain duties. “Bullets” focus on all-out onslaught, while “Shells” cover logistics.
Varg is the highest rank a male can achieve. It is basically equal to a senior officer/ colonel. Sometimes their lacking strategic and combat abilities are more than compensated by their libido and good looks. There are exceptions, however - Utopia’s Varg is not to be trifled with.
Beta wolf is a rank equivalent to junior officer. They are experienced fighters and clawed their way to this rank through gunfights, raids and missions.
Though other gang members are commonly known as just dogs, underestimate them at your own peril. They still outnumber you, operative.
