This update includes the ability to hard drop the blocks with either the space bar or H key. This was requested by Steam reviewer "NidoAllFather" who suggested it. User "Kalycho" echoed the same thing. Also, a simple help screen has been added to the title screen. Press H for help and it will tell you about the controls. The hard drop feature should make the game play feel faster and more satisfying for those players who felt that it was too slow.
I would also like to respond to the review by user "Obey the Fist!". The truth is that the bad graphics is both because of my lack of skill and also the game was designed to look like it was made in the 1980s because that was the time period when Tetris was both created and published to the world. I also designed it to be extremely light and fast even on less powerful computers. Theoretically, it could probably run on a computer of the 80s or 90s if it was running Linux and supported SDL version 2.
I am not trying to compete with the Tetris company by making a 3D graphic equivalent. I don't want to go to jail but I am willing to for the sake of keeping the game alive and not let it be taken away from those who want to play it. When previous official Tetris games we delisted and fan made games were shut down, I grew to hate the Tetris company and worked for over a year at making Chaste Tris. It is my first game and contains all the passion I had for Tetris combined with all the computer programming experience I have, which is admittedly not very impressive I know. But I am proud of this achievement anyway.
